History
Established in 2005.
My great grandfather, Julie Byron Howell came to San Diego from Salt Lake City, Utah in the 1920’s.
He was involved in the construction of the Civic Center on Harbor Drive. The year was 1931 when he operated a retail store and plumbing, heating and contracting business until 1985. Howell Plumbing & Heating was involved in the first remodel of the Grant Hotel, construction of the Harbor House Restaurant and the San Diego City Jail to name a few.
Arnie Johnson (my grandfather) married the boss’s daughter in the late 1930’s and joined the family business. Gary Johnson (my father) joined in the mid-1950’s. I joined in 1979 and am still doing business to this day.
As you can see, if you work with me, you are getting generations of experience with a business that has been kept in the family and cares about helping your family with any plumbing, heating or cooling needs you may have. I look forward to you becoming a part of this company’s rich history!
