Oh how I like there carne asada fries, and burritos here. now the name has changed… Super Oscars? WTF? The sign makes it appear to be «super scars» instead. Anyways, so I liked Filbertos. and I haven’t been to Super Oscars yet, so I can’t say if I like it or not.

Filiberto’s has changed their name to Super Oscar’s Mexican Food. The transition is still in progress as there is still a wall behind the Drive Thru that says«Filiberto’s Welcomes You» or something to that effect. I was not happy that I had to sit at the Drive-Thru for 2 – 3 minutes without any response. I went ahead and drove to the window. A car behind me got helped at the Drive Thru so I had to explain that I had not placed my order yet. The woman explained that the Drive Thru alert was broken. I guess I was OK with that. The wait time was a little longer but now you know why. The bean and cheese burrito was large and above average taste. The rolled tacos were excellent! Lots of tomato, lettuce and onions and both guacamole and sour cream. This earned the points. The chicken tacos were good but very soggy and fell apart and my wife found a bone. Overall she liked them but found them hard to pick up. The rice was good and the Horchata was good. A worthwhile find!

How I miss SD Carne Asada Fries! We headed over here after going bar hopping in downtown SD. Open 24 hours, we only got two spots in San Jose that have carne asada fries, but they aren’t open 24 hours a day nor are they super great. They had some decent carne asada fries here, I hadda get extra sour cream(charged me 25 cents each, but was listed at 65 cents each), it only came with cheese, guac, and fries. My friends and I ordered four carne asada fries, came out to like $ 25 including a large horchata, which tasted very watered down. Still not the best carne asada fries, but a decent meal after a long night of drinking.

There are many ways to test a mexican joint’s culinary viability, my preferred method is the breakfast burrito. I like to add a few things usually, like sour cream and guac. My breakfast burrito should consist of: Egg Potato Ham(Don’t skimp on the ham) Pico Cheese A little sour cream(just enough, evenly, not all down one end) A little guac.(I emphasize ‘a little’) If a taco shop can make a burrito like this, I’m happy. Filiberto’s exceeded my expectations, totally blind sided me, I didn’t even want mexican but as soon as I bit into it I changed my mind. For that I thank them. I’m so used to getting crappy mexican. Next time I’ll try something else, I’m confident they’ll deliver.

Great vegetarian burritos. Great Cali burritos. Tasty carne. I love the fact that there’s a drive-thru too. Fili’s is my 2nd kitchen haha. PROS: Tasty. Open 24 hours. Drive-thru access. CONS: Sometimes don’t give change.

Fili’s is the best midnight pit-stop this side of the 805*. Text-book California burritos and the bomb carne asada fries. Oh yeah, and in side they have the best arcade game ever… Lethal Enforcers! Oh and who has the high score you ask? MEBABY. just look for the initials A.C.E. P. s. keep your eyes open in the parking lot, some idiot backed into me here once *if your not on «this» side of the 805 I suggest you stop at Rudfords for you midnight munchies
