Man these guys r good. I am pretty active and always seem to be getting injured or hurt and these guys help me recover so fast. If ur heavy into sports u defiantly need to go see Dr Cortez. Truly a blessing to have found them.

Great services (chiropractic and massage), customer service and communication.
I’ve been to the La Mesa Spine Center on several occasions last year. The front desk staff is professional. Dr. Cortes was very careful in assessing my injuries and determining treatment required.
I also scheduled appointments for massages with Aria and continued to meet with her after my treatment was complete; her techniques and communication are great. She was great at assessing my needs before each session and asking follow-​up sessions. Her advice for post-​massage activity was always accurate.
I have referred others to this office and will continue to be a client.

I started seeing Dr. Jeff Ring for a compressed back fracture. In the visits I have seen an improvement in my range of motion and less pain. I have now been aw to incorporate more physical activity that I have not been able to for long time. If you are looking for back relief. Visit the La Mesa Spine Center and ask for Dr. Ring.

Dr Cortes is the GREATEST. He is worth the 25 minute drive! I couldn’t turn my neck left, 15 minutes with him, and the pain is GONE!!!
He is very affordable and worth so much more.

I love getting massages by Aria. I feel so relaxed when I leave this place. She knows just the right amount of pressure to use on my stiff back. She also does paraffin wax on your hands and/​or feet if you want that extra spa like experience… which I highly recommend! My monthly massage doesn’t come soon enough, I may have to up it to every two weeks now! :)

I have been seen by Dr. Cortes for on going back pain. After just a few visits I felt like a new person. The staff is very friendly and helpful. No one should live with pain especially if it can be fixed!

Just had the most relaxing massage at La Mesa Spine Center. My therapist was Aria and she fixed me up wonderfully.
I had talked to her before hand and mentioned how my back was stiff because I have been working out a lot lately and she really paid attention to my needs. She had lowered the table so she could really dig into my stiff muscles and she took extra care to stretch them as well. After working my muscles over with a deep massage she did some light swedish style at the end and it was so relaxing. It was amazing actually so I asked her to add on another half an hour of just that soft relaxing style and that was the perfect topper to my one hour deep tissue style massage.
Her massage room is dim, quiet, and has this nice zen feel to it. The music was also very subtle and calming. And Aria was not too talkative which I love. She only asked the occasional question about pressure and how certain things felt. I actually fell a sleep for a bit which was surprising.
I’m seriously excited to find a terrific place to get a massage right near my house. And with a therapist that listens to my needs.
Thank you La Mesa Spine Center. And thank you Aria I’ll be stopping in again real soon.
Update:
I woke up the next morning sore as Aria said I might after a deep tissue massage. It felt like I worked out hard yesterday. But after more water and a shower I felt loose and ready to take on the day!

Dr. Ring and Dr. Cortes are both excellent. I’ve seen each only once but would recommend both of them without hesitation.

This place is great. I see Dr Cortez, and it is obvious that he cares about his patients. He was willing to work with me on resolving some insurance issues without hesitation. He is very personable and friendly. I saw Dr Ring once when Dr Cortez was out of the office and had a great adjustment from him as well. I also had two massages there; they were a different style of massage (Thai) from the typical «swedish» ones most of us are used to, but I found them to be good. The adjustments are great and hours work with my schedule. Yes, it is on a busy street right by the high school, so it might not offer a serene and peaceful environment (especially right after school gets out), but what is far more important to me than the office space is the quality of care one receives, which I have found to be great here.

I used a Groupon to get a massage at La Mesa Spine on Friday. WOW! I was really impressed by Jess, the massage therapist that worked on me. She gave one of the best massages I have had in a long, long time. I get massages fairly often (once a month on average), and have been moving around town, using coupons, etc. to find the right fit. I think I found it. She spent a lot of time on my shoulders and neck and used the exact right amount of pressure.
The only reason I gave 4 rather than 5 stars is that the initial reception and welcome was a bit cool. My first impression was that this place was not too happy that I was there on a Groupon (expired one, at that – so I paid the difference between what I had put on the Groupon and their regular fare).
I think I was wrong. And, because of another small thing that happened while I was there, I think quite highly of them and will definitely continue to use their facility and service. That small thing was that my car was hit in their parking lot by one of their patients – a minor dent to my car – but they handled the issue quite professionally and are working with me and the person who bumped into me through the fix. Now, THAT’s REALLY SERVICE! :-)

Dr. Cortes is the best!

I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. Creepy place overall. Location on University next to a noisy alley. Overbooked and rushing around, the front desk people were also the practitioners. The massage table was bare and uncomfortable with only a sheet on it and a used blanket crumpled and left on the chair where I placed my purse. Later, when the a/​c was blasting straight on me, the masseuse tucked the dirty blanket around me, up to the neck, explaining that the chiro likes to keep the a/​c high. To my horror, she gave me a «massage» without oil, of course, on top of the blanket and sheet. She worked so frantically that I never once felt relaxed. I couldn’t wait to get out, and I will never go back.

I have been to about half a dozen chiropracters the last couple of decades. I have had some good ones before, but Dr. Cortes and Dr. Ring are by far the best I have gone to-​hands down. I started seeing them when my last chiropractor sold her business and moved her practice.
There are different schools of chiropractic medicine out there, and they both use some of the more gentle approaches to making adjustments. It is something I really appreciate as my last few chiropracters used some of the harsher styles.
Everyone is really friendly. They will work you into their schedule on short notice if your back or neck «go out.» And they take the time to explain things and answer any questions you might have.
I can’t say enough about how good they are.

La Mesa Spine Center is great. I hurt myself every once in a while with my occupation. I have normal medical insurance that dose not cover chiropractic. But whenever I have an issue I allways stop by and consult Dr. Ring first, Generally he is able to resolve my issues, and I dont have to make the trip to the emergency room. And I would much rather give my money to a local family buisness than to Kiaser.

I definitely agree with the last two posts. I usually see Dr. Ring for monthly adjustments to maintain good back health. He even showed me a few exercises that I can do at home, in between visits, to strengthen neck, back, and shoulder muscles.

Dr’s Cortes and Ring are the bomb. My husband and I now go there every month and it keeps us feeling great. No more aches and pains (which always pop up from repetitive motion like what I’m doing now — typing). I used to get pains in my shoulder, wrist and elbow from using the mouse and Dr. Cortes just gives me a quick adjustment and its all better. And he has a great family maintenance plan that really makes it affordable. Love that!

While this is a small office with only 2 chiropractors, it is well worth your time to get an appointment with them on a regular basis. Most people don’t realize how much they do that has an adverse impact on their spine, and how that affects the rest of their body.
I’ve been treated by Dr. Ring several times, mostly for minor adjustments, and twice when my poor posture caused my neck to almost entirely lock in position. In every instance, I have left the office feeling MUCH better than I did when I walked in, and very satisfied with the treatment I received. I’ve never been treated by Dr. Cortes (his name is Jude but he goes by Jix), but I’ve been told that he is also very good.
If you are one of those people who think Chiropractic Medicine is a hocus-​pocus science, or not for you (for whatever reason), you owe it to yourself to at least give these guys a chance.
You won’t regret it!
