History

Established in 2013.

Laurel Preparatory Academy is part of the Altus Institute Network of Charter Schools. Laurel Prep is focused on academic improvement, high-​caliber teaching, safe and supportive learning environments, and the development of role models for educational reform. At Laurel, every student’s progress and academic achievement is important to us. We ask that students and parents commit to working closely with our teachers. Our teachers are committed to providing a personalized and rigorous academic experience for each student.

Laurel Prep is an educational option that serves students in grades 6 – 12. Laurel is an academic intervention alternative centered on student motivation. It is our goal to place each student on a pathway to success. Laurel Preparatory Academy offers students an independent study program with options for blended learning or online classes with in-​person support from highly qualified, credentialed teachers.
