Just tried this out for the very first time today and it was a wonderful experience for myself as well as my two brittanys! Their breed is meant to flush and point birds but they chase rabbits, squirrels, lizards, etc. on their free time so I figured I would let them test their luring abilities since it is open to all breeds. not just sighthounds. I’m glad I did because they had a blast, did great and the ladies organizing it were nothing but helpful and informative!

What is lure coursing?
Lure coursing can also be described as a fast-​paced chase sport. Dogs run after a «bunny» lure (usually a white plastic bag) that is attached to a line. They run in an open field and run as fast or slow as they want.
This is something I have been taking Odin to for about 4 months now and he LOVES it! Basically it gets his ya-ya’s out and he has a great time doing something pretty simple but it brings out his chasing is a good way.
