Marie is great to work with. I actually enjoy going to the post office now. I can honestly say that I would rather wait in line at her shop than to be first at the window in any post office, not that there is always a line. It’s fun to go into a well lit copacetic establishment. I always leave in a good mood and well taken care of. If her shop is out of your way it is well worth the visit.

Went in looking to ship some business cards overseas, and was expecting it to be pretty expensive. The person working that day (sorry, didn’t catch her name) was so extremely helpful! She made sure the labeling was correct by fitting in all the long address details creatively and even hand-​wrote the address on the packaging just to be sure. Another way she went above and beyond was during the whole weighing process. After weighing my package and showing me the price options via different carries, she also then weighed it in the carrier’s packaging just to see if it would be cheaper for me. It was and I appreciated all the time and effort she put into making the process easy, accurate, and affordable.
The store, itself, is pretty cool too. Fun, random things to look at — rocks, scarves, jewelry, wood carvings, etc. Found and purchased a very funny birthday card that involved hamster farts (doesn’t that sound intriguing?). I would definitely recommend using their shipping services and having a look around.
And p. s. my package arrived to its overseas destination on time without any issues.

Excellent service with a smile. a family owned and operated by wonderful Marie and Emily — I get notifications when I receive mail on the dot — all the packaging and shipping is always the best rate. They genuinely have the best value for the customer. All the flyers and printing desired for my deli — all is handled promptly and beautifully. thank you for a wonderful job, well done. I highly recommend their services — all the small unusual gifts at excellent pricing which will make Christmas wonderful, unusual, unique, cute gifts. Great people with a smile.

This is an old school «Mom and Pop» store. They have a ton of little nick-​nacks, like crystal pyramids and souvenirs. What is really great about this place, and gets it 5 Stars is the own. I believe her name is Marie, and she takes time to fill out your mail parcels and tell you how to save money.
Now here is the Kicker, she goes to the post office with your certified mail and stand in line for you! What, okay! Who does that??? Anyway, it saved me a bunch of time, and I am a fan for it. It feel good to support a little shop like this, Keep up the good work!

If you desire to avoid the US Postal Service and want privacy and excellent service, this is the place in La Mesa/​East County.
My wife and I have done business with Marie and her staff for a year now, and I cannot give enough accolades to their level of service. Nothing like your mail people knowing your name, and knowing what you need, and always communicating via email, or telephone if you need them to.
Always WILLING TO GIVE YOU MORE. Great people. Great family-​owned business. Tell them Ricky and Leah sent ya :)

Marie and the staff at Mail & Misc are amazing and as far as customer service goes you won t find any better in la mesa, i saw some reviews about the price being on the high end and i don t think its that expensive but again like everything in life you get what you pay for because THEY WILL GO THE EXTRA MILE FOR YOU, They will ship anything for you as safely and securely as you could want it, i have been going there for years now and its not about to change anytime soon. All my packages that i sent over the years have arrived with no issues and i always leave this place with a big smile.

Overwhelmingly intense customer service. A bit too much for me actually, but if you’re into that hands on experience this is your place. I found the shipping prices to be a bit on the high side.

GREAT customer service! I went on vacation and left my bag in Austin Texas and the hotel wouldnt ship it to me. So I went there and asked for there help figuring out how i can ship my bag back to me. Marie ended up calling a personal friend of hers in Austin had her pick up my bag and ship it back to me no extra charge. I got my stuff in a week! There would have been no other way for me to get it. I always have been very happy with all of there services and they always go beyond to try and help!

Marie gave me THE MOST OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever received. I had some questions about shipping to Sydney and without me even asking, she emailed me details and what her recommendation was even though it didn’t involve her business. She is honest and genuine and cares about each and every customer. Her follow up was valuable and I would never go anywhere but here for my mail services. Thank you Marie!

Very frustrated by my experience here today! I went in to get a passport photo taken, and there was clearly a glare in my glasses in the photo, which is unacceptable for passport photos. I told her this made me nervous, because I need this passport ASAP and I don’t want any complications — and she got frustrated, picked back up her camera, waved for me to come back over to the white backdrop and then, in an annoyed tone, said «well, you’re going to have to pay half price for this second photo, then.» What? She captured a glare in my glasses (there are instructions on the government’s website for avoiding this — isn’t it your responsibility to know how to avoid this?), and she wanted ME to pay for it? That is just terrible customer service! Not to mention, she wanted to charge me $ 13 for the first photo! That’s $ 3 more than just getting it done by the County Administration Center! Needless to say, I walked out without buying ANY passport photos.

She also offers notary services, photocopy, fax, shredding, business cards, and mailbox rentals. You’ll fall in love with the service and be a customer for life. Highly recommended!
