I went with my boyfriend Craig to see Dr Manning for his back. I’ve been to a chiropractor before and I didn’t make it consistent thing to make an appt. But Dr Manning is super friendly, knowledgable and remembers me from when I went with Craig to meet him during his appt. After my adjustment I had no more aches or pains, thanks so much doc! I’ll be back for my next adjustment soon.

If you want your back to feel good, see a chiropractor. If you want your soul to feel warm, see Doctor Manning. Visits to his office are part of me and my wife’s yearly budget, because not only is he great, he’s affordable. (fortunately he doesnt charge for the marriage counseling cause then that’d be a different story.)
Honestly though in a world full of crooks and cracks its hard to find anyone to trust,
And I pay this guy weekly to crack my neck.
What does that tell you?

Admittedly I’ve only been to two chiropractors in my life, but Dr. Manning is the best! He spends about 10 minutes with you during your appointment. We’ll chat about activities and such that have helped or hurt my back since my last visit, then he’ll get to work on adjusting me.
He has a super sweet office staff and a private parking lot. If he accepts your insurance, there’s absolutely no reason not to give him a try!

Awesome. Dr. Manning is personable, authentic, and professional. He really helps my back and neck. I have degenerative disc so chiro care usually doesn’t make much of a difference, but Dr. Manning makes me feel better without causing more pain while being adjusted.

Been coming here since 1998. Couldn’t be happier with the service. Dr. Manning knows his stuff and he knows his patients well.

Dr. John is the very very best there is! Not only as a chiropractor, at which he exceeds excellence, but as a human being, a caring health provider, a trusted provider of treatment and information, and a fun and funny guy whom we really miss since we have moved away. We spent almost 18 years staying healthy under his care (in spite of our causing our own mishaps — roller skating was my downfall!?!). There is NO hesitation In recomending Dr. John as the best chiropractor in San Diego and probably the entire West Coast.

I“d like to add that right before I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, Dr. Manning knew that something was wrong. He noticed it before anyone else did. As I had no insurance, he even made arrangements for me to get an MRI from a trusted doctor at a reasonable rate. He now regularly treats me and makes sure I’m on top of my exercise régime and stretching. I feel safe allowing Dr. Manning to make adjustments on my neck where I have lesions, and have never been afraid that he’d cause damage.

Imagine, if you will, a man – or the vestiges of a man – walking like a zombie, hunched and groaning. Moments from crying like a little girl. Struggling to get the words out. Mumbling to no one in particular… hurt…back…neck…help…grrrrrr.
The good doctor didn’t ask me to complete lengthy insurance forms. No, with compassion he led me into a room and asked how I did it. After prodding this and that, he worked his magic and provided the first relief I’d felt in days. I heard something POP, I felt something loosened. I felt better right away.
The zombie walked out of Dr. Manning’s office «almost» like new, promising that I’d leave the Olympics-​style moves to the younger guys.
On a side note, he’s funny, compassionate, obviously knowledgeable and best of all, he’s really, really good at what he does.
Highly recommended if you bust yer butt playing the fool.

Awesome chiropractor. We love Dr. John. We had another chiropractor in Kensington that we really liked, but we had to make the switch because it was difficult driving out there every 2 weeks. During the time we were seeing him (our other chiro), we had switched to someone else that was closer to home and it just didn’t work out with him so we went back thinking that it was going to take someone fantastic to help us switch. I like that he works from «word-​of-​mouth» and doesn’t have a website. Totally old school. He’s very reasonable with his prices, especially for the kiddos — which is awesome cause we have 2 and another on the way! :)
He’s good at what he does. We all feel great after an adjustment. And he’s very honest and knowledgeable. We really appreciate that about him.

I am so thankful to have found Dr. Manning! What a great knowledgable Doctor! He fixed my stiff neck, I am sooooo grateful I can move again! Now I can swing my neck around and see what my 3 little rascal kids are up to in the backseat of the car! I also really appreciated his sports/​running experience. He offered me great helpful tips to prevent injury. What a cool guy! and super sweet Office Staff! So grateful I found them!

I kind of shy away from chiropractors, but was persuaded to try Dr. Manning for persistent sciatica pain. Oh my gosh, in one treatment I was free of pain. He didn’t require lots of xrays or multiple appointments. He just said to come back if it wasn’t better. That was some years ago, so if I have an injury (I ride horses…), I just go in for a «tune up» and I“m good as new. His fees are very reasonable. As other reviewers note, John is upbeat, professional, knowledgeable. His staff is super. This is my first Unilocal review; that tells you something about how great his service is.

Dr. Manning is very attentive and cares about is patient. He’s staff and himself always makes me feel welcome. He is the best chiropractor in town. Referred many to him and they all love him.

Dr. Manning is a wonderful doctor. He really cares about his patients and takes time to get to know you and your health concerns. He is also very knowledgeable and professional. I’ve been to see him a few times and already feel a lot better. I’ll definitely be back.

John is the best. He is honest (and believe me that’s rare in this business), upbeat, always positive, super knowledgeable and helpful. He doesn’t give you six months plans (be careful with chiropractor who does that) and you can trust him.

Dr. Manning is a wonderful man and doctor. I feel so comfortable and like he truly cares about my health progress. His office is clean, welcoming, easy to find and he has a great staff. If you are looking for a nice chiropractor who is a real San Diegan and not concerned about how much money he can get out of you– he is the guy. I’m very lucky to be his patient.

Great office staff, cool doctor and best of all he actual knows what he’s doing. I had some major neck issues a few months back. The pain was so bad that i had issues getting out of bed. after just one visit I was feeling back to normal. Well, physically at least!
