Shades of Linens & Flowers

I noticed that Roxanne came on and replied to the other negative reviews for her business about a month after I posted my review, yet she didn’t reply to mine. I wonder if that has anything to do with the legal settlement she still owes us and not wanting to acknowledge it, much like she seemed to not acknowledge the court proceedings that went on.
Run FAR away from this business!

Nice to see that Roxanne is still around passing on lies and still running a shady business. I posted a Facebook review on her page and she instantly removed it. Glad all she can do is flag reviews on Unilocal.All of 1 star reviews show that I’m not the only one with such horrible service.
She replied 8 months after my review thinking I would not remember everything that happened. We called Roxanne the morning of setting up the wedding. These «extra linens» were NOT RECEIVED. How do we return linens that we never received?
We called her multiple as soon as we started setting up, not days after. She was more than welcome to come by and count them herself, but she was too busy hanging up on us when we tried calling or not answering at all.
I recommended this company twice because I give people a chance to do better business. First time around, there was only an issue of a run around. Second time around was worse and cost us money.
She thanks me for referring her twice and laughs it off. Her customer service at its best.
I will let the other 1 star reviews help speak for this company’s reputation as well as the F on BBB.

Queen of hidden fees and shady business!
If I could give negative stars I would. We rented our linens for our wedding from Roxanne Fairhurst with All San Diego Party Linens, but she turned out to be the queen of hidden fees. I should have known something was wrong because she kept on adding to the cost of our order and then after we had already paid in full, a month before the wedding date, she took a 50% deposit without telling us. It was shocking because she had lead us to believe payment in full was the deposit.
We used her because she had the most competitive prices but in the end we paid over double what our original agreement had been and what our budget was. In the end she kept our deposit for a «lipstick» stain and torn chair covers and 5 missing sashes. She took advantage of our hectic schedule and made herself unavailable during the time we had to drop the linens off so we were not able to go through them with her. Almost a month after the wedding we had not received any of our deposit back so we called. That is when she told us she was going to keep it. I asked to see the damaged chair covers and instead of meeting with us, she just left them outside for us to pick up. It became apparent why once we saw the chair covers. It was quite obvious she had taken a lip liner and done the damage herself. It is painfully obvious there was a stain which she had tried to color in with the lip liner. I have no doubt SHE tore the other covers.
Buyer beware! This is one of the ones to stay away from!

Rent linens from anywhere but here!!! There is a reason for the poor reviews! We rented chair covers and table cloths for our wedding reception. They were fine, a couple stains here and there, but not terrible. At first Roxanne was helpful, but after the after the reception, i called and left a message to see when we would get our deposit returned and got no call back. THREE WEEKS LATER she charged our credit card well over $ 100 without notice, for stains & stated the linens were returned in poor condition. I wish i had taken pictures on the day i picked them up to show they were returned in the same condition. And who is to say they hadn’t been used agin between that time.

Roxanne did my wedding this last year and everything was perfect! She was easy to get into contact with and always returned my calls, which I found difficult with other venders. On our wedding Roxanne made sure that everything was just how I wanted it. She was very accommodating to my many changes and was very reasonably priced. My experience with this company was amazing and I experienced nothing like the last poor review. Thanks Roxanne!

Awful awful awful! Horrible experience working with Roxanne! I was referred to her by a friend who unfortunately at the time had not yet finished working with Roxanne because she ended up getting screwed in the end too. She was completely dishonest throughout the whole transaction, charging our card multiple times without telling us, telling us she gave us linens when she didn’t, and then charging us for not returning them or for getting them dirty. Isn’t that a part of the business… dirty linens? Save yourself the headache, do not do business with this woman!

This woman should not be in business! We used her for the linens at our wedding and it has been a nightmare! Do not give her your money and especially not your credit card info. She has earned every bit of her «F» rating through the BBB.

My wife was referred by an acquaintance who unfortunately had not finished her business at the time and ended up getting screwed too. Roxanne was given our credit card # to make a deposit of $ 500 towards our $ 666 quote that we authorized through email. A couple weeks later we had an unauthorized charge of almost $ 500 and had to contact her to figure out what it was. She stated that it was for the remaining balance of our bill and a $ 300 deposit that would be returned. We were uneasy but it was too late to find another linen rental for our wedding. My wife asked twice for a contract that was never delivered to her.

On our wedding day the linens we received were not good quality, had tears, weren’t how they were described, and the colors of our yellow napkins came in about 3 different shades. We survived and had a beautiful day despite this disappointment. I would have given 3 stars had the story stopped here and we got our deposit back.
My wife and I were the last ones to leave our venue and we know all linens were collected and put in the return bags. Our close friend dropped off the linens to Roxanne’s garage that was unorganized, chaotic, and our return was dumped into a bin with many others returns. Hmmm???
After we got back from our honeymoon we noticed another charge to our card for $ 415 but we never had any communication from Roxanne about additional charges. So we contacted her and she claimed we lost numerous pieces, stained the napkins with lipstick and wine (isn’t that what napkins are for?) and burned some items for an additional damage total of $ 715. I’m not saying some of this may not be true and we probably would have let her have our security deposit just to be done with her. But she was charging us more than double our original quote! My wife asked her to meet in the middle somewhere to settle but she wouldn’t budge. We just didn’t trust her anymore so we fought it through our credit card company and won our deposit and damage charges back. Oh it doesn’t stop here!!!
I found out we won our dispute because I saw a charge on my card for $ 715 from ALL SAN DIEGO PARTY LINENS. I contacted my CC company and they notified me it was a new charge and the dispute was resolved in our favor. SHE CHARGED OUR CARD AGAIN after she lost just because she had our #. Not only is she trying to steal from us but she is obviously challenged in the smarts department! Really?!? She made 3 unauthorized charges without ever contacting us. Please friends don’t do business with her and save yourself the headache. I had to cancel my card so she can”t go on a shopping spree and I’m going to file a report with the PD for attempted theft. She doesn’t deserve to be in business!
