The best car buying experience I have ever had! And I have had a few! David was super helpful and went above and beyond to make sure I was totally satisfied with my purchase. Bought my dream car and they made sure all of the small details were taken care of. Eddie at the front desk was so helpful and friendly as well as everyone else that we encountered. In and out in under an hour, never even thought that was possible! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to buy a used car without high pressure sales and with a very pleasant staff. I know I will be going back next time I need a new car!

Worst customer service of my life! Sexist against women for sure! My husband works 12hr days and relies on me to get everything settled in the week so when the car’s transmission started having trouble shifting gears and couldn’t accelerate past 45mph without going into 4rpms and the enging light coming on, we took it back to Speed Auto Gallery, who promised that they would take the car to their mechanic and get a diagnostics check done. The next day, my husband returned to work and I called about the car and the first thing they do is try to blame my driving as a woman and assuming because of my gender that i put it in manual and therefore did not know how to drive. Not only that, their key maker Andy, when I called him, said he didnt know what the heck kind of car I was talking about. I kept telling him that it was a jeep patriot and that my husband has just purchased it on the 12^th from Speed Auto Gallery and that we know David who gave us his number. Andy then tells me he will get back to me in 5mins and that turns into 50mins, so i called him back and he told me he didnt look up what a jeep patriot was and then he told me again that he will look it up again he said to wait 5mins. He never called me back. Not only that but their version of a diagnostics test was to have Nick drive it «150miles» he says. Yeah right. So now we are stuck with a car that loses power at 45mph and cant get to 60mph unless you give it more than 2mins and only start accelerating when it goes back down to 2rpm. Also, there was a piece of cloth that was hanging in front of the passeners side near the feet and their solution was to rip it off and shove it underneath the passenger seat. Very horrible service if you’re a woman driver! Very sexist and rude! DO NOT GET A CAR HERE AND MAKE THE SAME MISTAKES WE DID!

I went to this dealer and test drove a car I was interested in. The employees here are extremely helpful and informative and I would definitely trust that they provide all the information they know about the car. They do sell a lot of salvage cars here, but this is not a big deal because they tell you up front. I would have purchased the car I was interested in (non salvage), but I was able to find a very similar 2012 Honda Accord for a lot less because some dealers use KBB while this dealer does not. That would be my only criticism is that this dealer prices higher than others. If they priced a bit lower I think they’d move their inventory much faster which is better for both buyer and seller. I appreciate their help. Great little/​mid sized auto lot!

Got a great deal on a great truck. «Dave» was a real pleasure to deal with. Didn’t feel any pressure, but it did take all day (when doesn’t it). We are buying a second vehicle in a few months and will most definitely be back.

Finally, this is the used dealership you want to do business with. After an exhausting three weeks of dealing with shady dealers we went to Speed Auto Gallery. These guys are upfront and will give you the total rundown on what you’re getting. (Plus they had a great sense of humor even when we showed up to buy a car 10 minutes before closing :-)) My boyfriend and I felt comfortable getting a salvage title here (not all their cars are salvage though) because of them and felt good about the price too. Honestly, these are the guys you want to buy a car from. I’ll be there for my next car too.

This place sells rebuilt wrecks and most have salvage titles. The problem is when a newer, more expensive car gets hit, it takes a lot of damage for it to be totaled by the insurance company. I looked at a 2009 Yukon XL, which is about a $ 30K car, and the salesman told me it was in a «minor front end collision with airbag deployment» but everything had been repaired and everything worked. There is a body shop on site, which should have been my que to turn around and head home. But I had driven all the way from Ventura County to look at it, so I gave it the benefit of the doubt.
When I inspected it, I saw that everything forward of the front doors had been replaced, and it had some wires not connected to anything under the hood. I couldn’t see that it had any frame work done on it, so I decided to drive it.
In less than 5 miles, the AC never worked, the Nav system was malfunctioning, the ‘hood open’ indicator lit up twice, even though it was closed, and it overheated. When I expressed my displeasure (in no uncertain terms), he had the nerve to tell me that it overheated because I was a bad driver.
I worked as an automotive service technician for 25 years, so I know a bit about cars. The biggest problem with rebuilt wrecks isn’t the body damage or even frame damage, it’s electrical problems. Wiring harnesses get crunched and mangled, but rarely replaced. A lot of the time, the damage is concealed inside the harness, so it’s a nightmare to diagnose and repair.
I couldn’t believe they put this car on the lot for sale in the condition it was in. My advice to anyone going there to buy a car would be to take along an experienced mechanic or take it to one for inspection before you buy. Whatever they charge for the inspection is worth very penny and cheap insurance against making a mistake with your hard earned money — not to mention wasting an entire day in traffic and burning up a tank of gas like me.

Started checking out some used cars around the La Mesa area, where I came across this dealership. Decided to check it out based off the ratings. I was a little turned off by most cars being listed as a salvage or «rebuilt salvage» title, but again, because of the ratings, I decided to stay and check out a few cars. A few minutes walking around, I found a 2009 Scion TC that had just come on the lot. I sat down with the owner to talk details and price. I found out it was in an accident a week prior, with the right front quarter panel taking damage along with the front of the car. The dealership had body work done and quickly placed in on the lot. It was a no pressure situation with them letting me take the car and have it checked by my dealer (John Hine Mazda). The car checked out mechanically, however, after having my body shop look it over, the verdict wasn’t so good. Whoever the dealership went through to have the body work done did a horrible job. My shop noticed a lot wrong with the car i.e. radiator pushed over and not properly aligned, front grill screwed on without a bracket, paint warped from not being properly set, AC line touching the Alternator belt, body work done to bare metal of the car without being finished, and worst, buckling of the inside of the engine compartment. I took the car back to the dealership disappointed, knowing the car did not check out as the owner stated. I then took the staff outside to go over what my body shop found. They did seem surprised at the corners their body shop cut, with the owner promptly telling me how sorry he was, and how he would pull the car off the lot and get it properly fixed. I even told him to call me once the car was completed to see if he would, knowing it would most likely stay on the lot for a quick sale. I checked online today only to find the same car still listed on the site, same poor body work done, no call-​back from the owner. Bottom line, view at your own risk. I’m sure they have some passable cars here, but just do the research first. Not everyone would know to get the car pre-​checked mechanically.

This place is awesome! And so are the salesmen. I bought my ’07 Toyota Highlander Hybrid here. After being so frustrated about dealing with crappy car salesmen and multiple dealerships, I stumbled upon Auto Speed Gallery. There were simply amazing, laid back, no pressure, honest, and extremely easy to work with. They let me take it to my mechanic no problem. My car is perfect & I love it!!! I definitely recommend you check this place out when shopping for a car

Bought my first car today! 2007 Toyota Corolla LE. They were extremely helpful and have a huge selection of cars. They provides the CarFax and answered any questions. The car had a salvage title so I had a LOT of questions. They will work with you to get the best deal and I recommend this place! It’s very laid back and you don’t feel obligated to buy/​they aren’t breathing down your neck while you look at cars on the lot.
I highly recommend this place and I went to 10 other lots that day!

Honest, up front, good prices, good guys with a low/​no pressure selling style. The kind of used car dealers you wanna work with.
Seemed like alot of salvage titles but they are up front about it & what was replaced/​fixed so you know what your buying. Before/​After pictures are provided if you want and they seem to do a legit job on the repairs. The ’07 Rav4 we drove was clean inside/​out and drove smooth & straight (low & high speeds). My sister decided she wants a ’04-’06 version (smaller w/​more rear visibility) otherwise we probably would’ve bought it.

My buddy bought a car here and I was taken back by how honest, nice, and cool these guys were. We shopped around at a lot of other locally owned dealers and these guys completely stand out from the crowd. They were 100% honest about everything with the car and even cleaned and fixed the things that he didn’t like about it free of charge, which would have otherwise cost a pretty penny if we did it ourselves. I definitely recommend Speed Auto Gallery.

Bought a 350z from. 2006 with 40,000 miles. Upfront about the salvaged title and went into detail about why it was salvaged. I was able to make a decision I felt strong about and the price was good as well as the warranty which was comforting. They were very willing to negotiate and were willing to work out the areas of the vehicle that were a turn off such as the front bumper sagging a little and the wheels which the previous owner had spray painted black. Pretty shitty. But they took care of that free of charge and even waived the $ 500 fee for the two day cool off period so I could drive it around and take it to a few mechanics who I had run diagnostics and throw it on the lift and check out the frame. The car checked out A ok and I am a happy customer.

Most of their vehicles have salvage titles, but they are up front about it. Nek was very nice as well.

I didn’t buy a car from them, but they were honest upfront about the salvaged title which saved me a trip. He was very friendly on the phone and wasn’t pushy at all.

I went to look at a BMW they had because it was within my price range and had all the options/​color combo I am looking for. I talked to the guys and they let me test drive it. The interior was in great shape, but it felt funny driving. I came back the next day to re-​look at it because I really wanted it. But this time I got down and dirty inspecting it. Interior again was almost flawless, I was getting excited! Then… I noticed some frame damage. AH MAN!!!
I gave the keys back to the guy and said I found too many things wrong with it. He tried to get me to look at the car with him so he could offer me a discount and THEN showed me paperwork on the car. FYI — DON’T USE AUTO CHECK BY EXPERIAN! The Auto Check showed NO ACCIDENTS, NO SALVAGE TITLE, NO INSURANCE AUCTION! Yet, he handed me the SALVAGED INSURANCE AUCTION PAPERWORK and photos of the FRONT END COLLISION! It was smashed in pretty good and explained a lot of the missing/​damaged plastic parts. The side of the frame also had tons of paint chips and obvious bends/​dents in it.
He still tried to tell me the car was OK. I went and test drove similar car and the difference was extremely noticeable. This will be my 3^rd BMW purchase, but it won’t be with this guy.
With that said, some people don’t mind salvage cars. The guy was also nice and accommodating. Also, he is middle-​eastern and most people I know from there think salvage titles = big discount. I have a few friends and they don’t even consider clean titles. Weird, but COULD explain is lax attitude towards the damage he showed me. The cars all look to be in good condition and both guys I met over the two days were friendly and weren’t pushy. The problem I have is they didn’t disclose the salvaged title and damage up front. BUT, I’ve only buy used cars and it’s not an uncommon thing. So, 2-​stars because I’m optimistic, but be careful when you’re looking at a car here.
