I have been a California licensed esthetician since 2007, but my passion for the beauty business started way before then. Since a young girl, I have been obsessed with skincare, waxing, and beauty products. I can remember my mom taking me to get my first facial at 12 years old and thinking how amazing the experience was. Waxing has changed my life! I have VERY sensitive skin! Since I live with the reality of being allergic to almost everything, I have done a lot of homework for you to have a great waxing experience for any area you might have been considering getting waxed. I strive to give every client who comes to my studio the greatest experience. I customize every treatment to really help with each individual skin concern to achieve the personalized results my clients desire. Every person has a different skin story, I love to hear them all and help in any way I can.

I recently moved to San Diego and had to find a new person to go to for my waxing. I did a lot of research and Found this place on Unilocal.I went in for a brow wax. Christina is amazing! She is super sweet and did a wonderful job. Pain free and my eyebrows look amazing. I definitely plan on coming back!

I had my first visit at the Village Wax Shack today and I am definately going back! Christina made me feel super comfortable. I was worried about the pain, but was pleasantly surprised with the little pain that I experienced during my Brazilian. Christina was fast and I am extremely satisfied with my results.
The online scheduling is very convenient, great location and easy to find parking. I’m so happy that I found her!!!

Very positive Brazilian wax experience. I’d had one wax at another location, which was extremely painful… So I was dreading this one. I’m happy to say that it didn’t hurt nearly as much the 2nd time around! I’m not sure if it was because of her method or the fact that it was my second time, but I was pleasantly surprised that it was tolerable! She’s also very sweet, makes an otherwise potentially awkward situation as comfortable and not-​awkward as possible, and she’s friendly & conversational, which helped get my mind off my fears of pain! The environment was clean & peaceful. Next time I’m looking for a wax, I’ll be back!

Cutest little place! Very easy to get to and easy parking (in downtown La Mesa, that’s a big plus). Very reasonable pricing and you can book an appointment online. Best of all, my eyebrows look FANTASTIC. Just the right shape and no redness afterwards. I will absolutely be back!

Christina is my go to girl! I’ve had multiple services done by her and she is nothing short of amazing. Christina is really kind and gentle. You instantly feel comfortable.
Brazilians: She does the best I’ve ever had. I’ve gone to other private studios as well as I used to have a membership at the European Wax Center. Christina makes the Brazilian not only affordable but high quality. Her technique will leave you with the least amount of pain, redness or ingrowns. My skin has never been better.
Facials: I recently just got a facial done and it was soooooo wonderful. My skin looks and feels brand new. I woke up the next morning and looked at my skin and it was like brand new, smoother, cleaner, and softer. During the facial she really gets a feel about what you’re skin issues are and truly makes it custom to give you the maximum benefit. My facial was truly such a wonderful gift to myself but it also comes with a light neck and arm massage which feels wonderful.
The Village Wax is an absolute must try! You won’t regret it.

Whoa-​my-​gosh, ladies…
I’ve been absolutely desperate to find an amazing esthetician/​Brazilian waxer since moving to San Diego from Chicago — and Christina, hands-​down, is the best I’ve experienced: she is quick as you can be, very minimal pain (although I’m used to Brazilians…), and is exceptionally warm and professional. Also — the space is darling.
You’ll be immediately comfortable — and won’t regret the trip.
She deserves good tips — and I mean that. I’m super fussy and particular, and this was an A+ visit. Don’t hesitate to pay her a visit.
*PS. Full disclosure: I’m a big girl, and this level of comfort and professionalism is super difficult to find. You’ll be comfortable.
