Tiling San Diego

Carlos and his nephew just finished tiling our bathtub surround and did a fantastic job. Carlos was extremely responsive, professional and accommodating. We changed our mind a couple of times on design and Carlos accommodated and made recommendations that were great. The tile turned out better than I ever imagined. I am extremely picky and notice small details and Carlos’s work is nearly flawless. He completed the job one day sooner than he quoted. He cleaned up and made it look like no work was ever done. I highly recommend Carlos for all of your tiling needs.

We chose Tiling San Diego for our master bath remodel. From the fist meeting with Carlos it was obvious this guy knows his trade — the comments and suggestions he made during the estimate appointment were on-​point. We knew exactly what we wanted, and selected all materials prior to our meeting, which was absolutely no problem with him — he has a ton of experience working with all kinds of tile and natural stone.
In just one short week, Carlos and Jesus transformed our builder-​grade bathroom into a showroom masterpiece. They started with a demo of everything to create a clean slate. Then Carlos brought in a plumber to install a drain and faucet valve for our new free-​standing tub, and a drywall subcontractor to add a privacy wall to the shower. Once that was done, Carlos and Jesus tiled the shower (4×12 Carrera marble with custom glass mosaic insert and floor) and bathroom floor (wood-​like porcelain tile). The entire tiling process went without a hitch and was completed in just five days, grouting included. Carlos brought a variety of grout samples for us to chose from, and we ended up using three different grout colors for this project.
I am very detail-​oriented, but I must say I am very happy how everything turned out in the end. I also expect contractors to work continuously on site (without days off) to finish all work as quickly as possible, and Carlos had no problem with this. There were just a couple of minor snags during demo, which were addressed properly. The final cost of the project had to be adjusted a little due to the extra cost of plumbing. The project was completed on time, job site was cleaned up after every day of work, and all construction debris were hauled away at the end. We would not hesitate to use Tiling Sand Diego again in the future and recommend them to anyone looking for a professional tiling specialist.

Left the bathroom in a mess. Never sent me a signed contract or warranty information. Dumped all grout drippings all over my front lawn. Doesn’t return calls or text messages. Over priced — deceiving– will not hire again regardless of skill level.

We are posting this review to share my experience with Carlos and his crew. Carlos installed a porcelain tile floor for a large master suite bathroom remodel.
Carlos was professional, punctual, respectful, responsive to calls/​texts, and he really knows his profession. The completed job was beautiful, met and even exceeded all of my high expectations. At the end of each day, he would vacuum the carpet and clean up his mess. At the end of the job he hauled all of the trash away. He was very considerate of my personal items/​furniture and was always careful to cover them up and protect them.
He completed the job a day ahead of schedule which was an added bonus. He did such a wonderful job, we even had him tile the 2^nd bathroom, even though we were not going to do it at this time.
I would highly recommend Carlos to others. We will be keeping his name/​number on file and calling him in the future as needed.
As a side note: We worked with Carlos’ brother, Victor to get an estimate and schedule the job. He too was incredible. Very responsive, answered our questions and took time to discuss our needs and answer any questions we had to set our minds at ease. These guys really want your work and they prove that to you from the first second you talk with them.
I am in management and really pay attention to how people perform on their jobs. I would give this team an A+, hands down, they are a talented class act!

Unreliable don’t waste your time. Not sure how good he is at his trade but I couldn’t even get him to the house. Set up an apt for Saturday at 10. No show, I called him and he said he needed to reschedule to 9 on Sunday. Was a no show on Sunday, won’t answer his phone and when he finally picks up he hangs up on me. I work long hours and getting ready for someone at 9.00 am on a Sunday is a big deal. Should have read Matt B comments before even bothering to wast my tiem.

Carlos and the Tiling San Diego team have done an amazing job on all 3 bathroom remodels and tiling flooring we have had him complete, and he has always gone above and beyond to make sure the job is done on time. Carlos is extremely professional and when we asked him to complete our entire bathroom remodel within a weekend, he went the extra mile to surpass our expectations by getting everything done within 3 days! Carlos has an extremely hard work ethic and has always been on time and provided expert advise and design every step of the way. I have worked with many different tiling contractors, and even the large companies don’t provide the same quality craftsmanship and service that Carlos has every time he has worked on our home. I would highly recommend Carlos and his team for any tiling job or home remodel as we have had him do it all in our home and he will be doing all our future projects.

Totally unprofessional. Avoid at all costs. Pay the money and get a real contractor. Carlos Espinoza was scheduled to do work on a Saturday and never showed up. «Said his truck broke down.» Wanted to reschedule for Sunday which was fine, however cutting tile at 7:30am on a Sunday in a dense residential area was not. I made the reasonable request for him to come back and start at 10am which he agreed to. Then he packs up all his stuff and sneaks out of the jobsite never to return or enough answer the phone.
Don’t waste your time or money with this guy.
