This was the worst ihop I have ever been to. The waitress Jonette was extremely rude and the MGR on duty was completely clueless. I can understand if you are having a bad day but there is no need to snap at the customers seated at your table. Very very unprofessional.

We have eaten breakfast at this restaurant a few times. It is a cute, little, limited seating chain restaurant in the same complex as the La Mirada theater. Pros: Abundant parking since the Gym was closed a few years ago. Coffee is already present at your table in a flask. You do not have to wait for someone to pour it to you.(+1) 4 different kinds of syrup for your pancakes preset at your table.(+1) Cons: Expensive compared to Polly’s Pies, Denny’s etc. Most of the items are $ 10 or more.(–1) Dishes that were brought to our table did not resemble the presentation picture on the menu during our most recent visit.(–1) Tiny restaurants like this are usually mom and pop shops, or are found in pricy rental areas like downtown’s etc. It is unusual for this area. There is not much space between adjacent tables.(–1) This would be a really appealing restaurant if it was a mom and pop place. Unfortunately, it is a Chain restaurant. So, our visits are infrequent.

Waited for a table longer than we should have waited while a couple who walked in were instantly seated. The other people waiting for a table protested but were ignored. Once seated, my grand daughter’s mac & cheese was obviously left in the microwave too long and some of it was not fit to eat since it was burnt. The server never came back to check on us. Most of my omelet was raw & running all over the plate. No wonder we never saw the server once the food arrived at the table.

I love this IHOP! Customer service is always fantastic, and food is always done well :) Gloria is a wonderful waitress and super sweet! I love the caramel Bön Bön pancakes they have during the holidays. Eggs Benedict is also a favorite of this location.

This place is super crowded on Saturday mornings. Went in a round 9:30 and had to wait about 20 min for a table. The dining area is super tight, but their wait staff is friendly. They are also pretty fast when it comes to serving food. I had the blueberry pancakes which are super good, but expensive considering they don’t come with any sides. I would probably go back though.

Stopped here for a quick bite before heading to La Mirada Theatre. Just wanted to reiterate what other Unilocalers have mentioned about this IHOP — -SMALLEST location I have ever eaten at. Looks like it could hold only about 35 customers at most. The service is attentive. Food seems so bland. We ordered the Thursday special ***chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and broccoli. The mash tasted like sand. Broccoli most likely from the freezer. The meat was not too bad but gravy had NOFLAVOR. The side salad was served with bagged salad dressing. I know it’s not fine dining but, at least have the dressing in a bowl. It felt like eating in a school cafeteria. Also ordered the strawberry and crème crepes. It was way too soggy. Will not return to this location!

There was only one other small party when we walked in to the smallest IHOP ever. We sat ourselves and waited to place our orders. Three of us got breakfast and one ordered a burger. Simple enough. We waited about 25 minutes for the food and by the time it got to us everything was lukewarm. Waiter brought the burger last and what do ya know. There’s a BUG on it. Just hanging out. Right on the bun. Dead. We called the waiter over and he looked at it, gave us a look like we had purposely placed it there, and just stood there until my friend asked if she could have another one. She didn’t ask for a comp, just another burger. He obliged after staring at us blankly. Needless to say we won’t be coming back to this or any other IHOP. Rude.

Food was great the server Jonette gave me and my family a bad service. Not once did she checked on us and just put the food on the table. La Habra gives way better service.

Ordered the Huevos rancheros, it was so poorly executed! The pancake stack was gummy in the middle! The water was good!!! Paided for the slop and went to Wendy’s

Old school building. The A-frame design. Nothing special but never had anything go wrong here. It’s one of my favorite go to places when you want a quick sit down meal. The service is very good and the food is standard fare for a chain. The turkey berry melt is my favorite meal along with any of their breakfast offerings.

IHOP! Do you? Classic. Expensive — But the wonderful service provided by grandpas and grandmas makes it all worth it. Their hard work with a smile is something I cherish each time I go to IHOP. They are the ones who made IHOP what it is today.

My first time at this Ihop… I liked how its small and cozy… None the less the service sucked ! The waitress wasn’t too friendly! Didn’t introduce herself I asked her what the dinner specials were and just tosses the Lil folded menu on the table. I was like Wtf!!! wasn’t very attentive! We placed our orders and we waited like was seemed like forever for our food! 45 min to be exact! Everyone that came in after us was already eating! The waitress never stopped by to let us know what was taking so long! Not like the restaurant was busy! Finally get my country fried steak dinner mash was cold and broccoli tasted weird! Won’t be coming back! Unless that waitress changes her attitude! BTW… She got no tip! :-p

Small location. Very few tables, but definitely the best one I’ve la Mirada. The ladies have been working here for what seems like forever. They are very attentive and nice. It gets packed though and there is not that much seating. The food seems to taste better at this location though. I would definitely go back.

I was beyond dissapointed with the service that I received by our waitress Jonette and the manager whom I didn’t get his name but he was older and bald. Going in early for breakfast into this tiny tiny restaurant we had higher hopes. We were greeting by the manager who then brought us to our booth and left our menus. Everything was fine. Our server came over and took our drink order and left since we were not ready. While taking our drink orders my daughter was telling her what she wanted at least 5 times because she was not listening, she just kept looking at me so I was bothered by that. When it was time to place our orders we flagged Jonette down and told her what we wanted. Again she just didn’t seem interested in listening to my daughter place her order. I could tell she had regulars in there because she was chatting away with them and standing around. I felt because we were not her usual customers she paid no attention. She brought our food and then we never saw her again. I got the strawberry banana french toast and it was terrible. I took about 4 bites and didn’t finish it because it was watery and flavorless. I was surprised that it had no flavor. I never got to tell my server because she was no where in site. Never came back to bring us napkins or refills. I had to ask the bus boy for napkins, so sad. Finally when she came to give us our check I told her that I didn’t like the French Toast(because she didn’t ask how our food was) and she said oh I’m sorry and left the check with us and walked away. I was shocked that she didn’t ask if there was anything she could do. When we went up to pay I told the manager about the service and he just looked at me like he didn’t know what to do and said oh ok sorry and handed me my receipt. Point is… the service I received was terrible! I can’t believe they did nothing to make their customers leave happy. I have been to many ihops with better service.

Took my mom for her birthday breakfast at IHOP. Our waitress Jeanne was so attentive and sooo pleasant. She is so great she brought a birthday treat and everyone sang Happy Birthday. This is the best IHOP restaurant. The staff n manager are very friendly. Food was delicious. Thank you Jeanne, you made my mother’s birthday very special.

SYSTEM: Order from menu SERVICE: Really nice staff, friendly, and attentive. I came in on Christmas by myself and it was pretty packed, but I got seated right away since it was just me. I think I gave off a beezy vibe, which I feel bad for, because I was talking on the phone(forgot to call my family to say Merry Christmas… oops) and gave short replies. Never had to ask for anything since they did things before I even had time to ask. FOOD: It was ok. Nothing I couldnt make at home. The buttermilk pancakes were what I was craving for honestly, but I knew I couldn’t eat more than two. So, I ordered the spinach and mushroom omelette with the buttermilk pancakes. Thought thered be cheese in the omelette since I’m used to cheese being in it from my past experiences at ihop. The pancakes were a good size but seemed pretty dry(like it’d been sitting out for a bit) so I drenched it in syrup… AMBIENCE: It felt homey. Really small but it didn’t seem to bother me that other customers were in close proximity. Now, if they were an inch closer, it wouldve bother me. It felt pretty clean compared to other ihops and for the size and amount of people, I was surprised it wasn’t so loud. VERDICT: System: Normal Service: Good Food: Average Ambience: Homey I guess my only complaints are that the cup of water I got was dirty and I only found out after taking a big gulp of it(I asked for another cup and the server apologized) and the syrup bottle I was using was broken so it was annoying to use since I had to adjust the cap so it wouldn’t fall into my pancakes. Other than that, I wouldn’t mind coming here for a quick American breakfast fix.

When I was little my parents would always take me to IHOP to eat breakfast and I still till this day consider IHOP a breakfast spot even they do serve lunch and dinner items! If you have never been I have no idea where you are from. They have IHOPs all around and most likely in every city in America! When I first moved to La Mirada I was pretty confused at where this location was. It is in front of LA Fitness and close to the La Mirada theater. This location is the old school style where it looks like a mini house. Which is pretty cute and adorable if you ask me. Came here one day to get some pancakes. Got my order pretty quickly since I was literally the only table. I guess on weekdays this place isn’t really busy since many people have jobs and everything. I have to say my pancakes were really good. Not burned, it was nice and soft and just the right kind of texture. I asked for the fruit on the side because I’m not really a fan of preserved fruit. If you want to get something quick and you really don’t want to eat Mc Donalds come to IHOP *on the weekdays* and get yourself a nice breakfast.
