Lady refused to give me a cup of water. She said she only does bottled water. What a joke.

I came in for a shrimp cocktail. After checking out the different cocktails, they were all 11.99 for a large. I ordered a large mixed cocktail to go. It came fast. They give you limes, tapatio, and crackers in the to go bag. The cocktail had lots of avocado, tomatoes, shrimp, octopus, and abalone. It was very tasty. My only complaint is that it was very small for the price. I got the large and thanked God I didn’t get the small when it came.

Good food… Basic fresh fish/shrimp tomato base meals. Steamed or grilled is good. Don’t get their breaded food… Too doughy… Clean and throwback basic décor to 60 – 70’s style. Mural along the wall. I like the jukebox. Good service and friendly. A lot of business for their take out. Their in service at first look sparse but busy later in the evening it starts filling up with customers. A good simple inexpensive find.

The only place close by to eat mariscos. I should have driven miles out to mi regular spot in Paramount dammit. Not good at all… Waitress took our order and brought it out wrong, and we were the only customers there. Super salty and food came out too fast I would say. Not going back.

Good food! This is genuine Mexican seafood. Very healthy and fresh. The oysters were amazing. My wife and I devoured them in a flash. The civiche tostada was good too, but i don’t know much about it and something tells me i didn’t eat it properly. I think i was supposed to use the chips to eat it with but i just picked up the tostada and pretty much ate it like a pizza. I am pretty sure the staff was laughing at me, but whatever. I’ll spread that joy. Delicious food!

I would like to say that first of all the food was delicious. I ended up having the shrimp tacos and shrimp soup and was extremely satisfied. For any who are worried about the price of the soup, it comes in a big bowl and is filled with fresh shrimp. I was not disappointed in the food at all. In fact if it was not for the few details of which I will detail below I would love to make this common visitation. However, the fact that the water was not provided in an unlimited supply bothered me. Especially in the heat of So-Cal. They served us water in bottles at over 1.50 a pop. I can’t remember the price, but I remember it being extremely overpriced. I can understand charging for water, but most places provide free refills for water at the least. This place does not, so be warned. Next while I understand the name and the description details seafood, there was absolutely nothing for my friend to eat. He does not like seafood. At most there were some chicken nuggets on the child’s menu and some popcorn shrimp on the appetizer menu but no real entrees one could call dinner. Not even a chicken taco. Luckily my friend liked Popcorn shrimp so he settled for that, but stated quite clearly that he will never return. Either way most seafood restaurants have at least one or two entrée’s for those who prefer not to eat seafood and it was rather disappointing that the options were so limited. Which is why I have to give a three star rating. Delicious food and we were served right away, but it’s these small things that I had to mark down on.

This place is pretty good. The beer could be 1 dollar cheaper and they need practice making margaritas. The seafood is well prepared and seems fresh. The only issue was with the fish ceviche tostadas. The fish is way too grounded and mushed. Also they were pretty skimpy. We also had the oysters, calamari, cocteles de camaron, and the campechana. Overall we were satisfied, decent value. The service was okay. The waiter was attentive at times but trailed off towards the end of our session. We had a good time. We will return. Hopefully the owners read these reviews and maybe take some input to better serve their customers.

Place was clean, if there is no hostess you can sit anywhere, there is no free water, the only thing that ticked me off was the bad customer service, I was waiting for like 15 mins just to get my bill!

Our campechanas were good, they were well served I would of like a little more flavor but made up with lemon, salt, and hot sauce. We had anticipated we would finish our crackers and the waitress would not serve us more crackers until we finished the ones we had so we kept calling her back… I would of put 4 stars but for the service I will leave at 3.

Came here and had a great meal! I had the shrimp taco as well as the fish. I liked the shrimp one by most, it comes with a roasted chile Guero toreado that is so delicious! They also serve micheladas and have a juke box for music. They also have taco Tuesdays! Enjoy!

We come here at least once a week. The last few times the services had been slow. Even to the point where we have to get up and request help, chips, our food, and the bill. The food is good and we actually would hope this place could get their act together, but alas it looks like we need a new«regular» place.

Mariscos es muy bien. My wife was craving oysters and sent me the info for this place. I told her, it’s a Mexican restaurant.(I usually go to a Japanese restaurant) Have you eaten there? No You want oysters? Yes Raw oysters? Yes Are you sure you want me to go there? The pictures looks good. Okay! Well, I had my doubts about coming here, but I came anyways(I love oysters) and I’m glad I did. Here’s the rundown: A dozen raw oyster(a bakers dozen plus one, 14 pcs for $ 11.98) OMG so GOOD! So Fresh! It came with lime & their version of a mignonette(onion, tomato, fish?) all finely chopped, it’s good. But what made it better was their spicy salsa(which came with the chips I ordered) without it, it was already good. With the salsa, BAM! Delicious. Shrimp Ceviche Tostada, another winner. Plenty of shrimp and nice acidic balance. Yum! Fish Taco, buried in a pile of cabbage and crema sauce is a huge piece of pan fried fish(as big as the tortilla, big). Delicious. 7 Mares Soup, seven seafood soup(fish, shrimp, octopus, crab, scallop, clam & mussel). The broth was very good. The seafood for the most part were cooked well. Some of the octopus pieces were chewy, of the 2 clams in the soup, one didn’t open and the other one was missing it’s meat lol. You get a lot of seafood in this soup. Chips to go $ 1, chips and salsa, very good and a lot of it too. The salsa was spicy, really good. Get extra salsa when you order, it’s good with everything. Specially the oysters. Service was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is a nice sized place with plenty of tables and booths. The décor is very nice. They have a mural running the length of the wall by the booths. They have a TV at the center of the restaurant. The price is very reasonable. The oysters were less than a dollar considering I got 14 pcs, I’ve been paying $ 3 a piece at other restaurants and I enjoyed these oysters as I dId those. Well worth it. This is the first time I’ve had oyster(raw) at a Mexican restaurant, it won’t be the last. Great dishes, Great value, I’m a big fan.

Delicious seafood within walking distance of my house. I’ll still probably drive… I literally had no idea that this place existed. I was with Jeni C and Nica H, so obviously we couldn’t choose a place on our own. We opened the Unilocal app and searched the nearby area for some grub. A mariscos place around the corner? 4 ½ stars? What the hell? To prove that I didn’t know where it was, I took us all to the wrong place first. We arrived at Tacos El Rey. Completely different name and they didn’t really have seafood. Upon looking across the street, there it was. Big blue letters next to Amy’s(another great breakfast joint if you haven’t tried it…) For further reference, it’s in the same shopping center as the Alberto’s, video store and late night liquor store. Once we got inside, it was pretty empty. They had a huge dance floor in case you wanted to have some sort of special occasion. Our first booth was a bust since it was so sunny. The beams of light were hitting us in the face, but the waitress noticed and quickly relocated us. When we came, our waitress spoke very little English. It gave me a chance to try a little Spanish. It wasn’t at all good, but I think we got the point across. Upon sitting, you’re automatically presented with a bowl of chips and some spicy ass salsa. The chips are definitely from a bag, so don’t expect any delicious, greasy tortilla strips here. The salsa is addicting and I was sorta choking at some points. It definitely has good heat and tastes great on your tacos. What I tried: Fish taco: This was fried. I prefer grilled, but it was still good. It came with cabbage, tomato, sour cream on two corn tortillas. This wasn’t a small taco, it was definitely packed with a big filet of fish. After I finished it, I was pretty much stuffed. Unfortunately, I had ordered two other items, so I couldn’t tap out just yet.($ 1.99) Shrimp Taco: Fried as well and large. Same ingredients as the above, but I liked this version better.($ 2.59) Seafood cocktail: This came in a big goblet with a lot of fish. I ordered the mixto full of shrimp, octopus, abalone, and oysters. The sauce that it came in was super sweet and I was told you’re supposed to offset it with lemons and other mixes. I was too lazy, so I just left the juices behind. They gave you a lot of meat inside such a small glass. Really hungry? They have a larger size.($ 5.99) Jamaica: I don’t think this was homemade. Jeni C and I both agreed it probably came out of a machine next to a nozzle of Orange Bang. It was still refreshing, but more like a jamaica Kool-Aid than the real deal. It came with unlimited refills. They were out of tamarindo and that was what I really wanted.($ 1.49) I had a bite of Jeni’s Camarones Costa Azul which were delicious prawns grilled in garlic and butter served with some delicious and fluffy rice. I’ll definitely be ordering this again next time. It was a huge portion and I’ve never seen her clean a plate like that before. Why did I include prices? Because I literally pigged out for under $ 12. The food was fresh and the service was attentive. I’ll definitely be back to try some of the other items in the restaurant!

This is one of those places that you would think it’s a mom and pops place. Well, it is, sort of. You’ll have to come here and find out but it is a family business. I don’t know if it is the great ideas on the dishes or they are just great dishes. Have you ever heard of camarones aguachile? I didn’t think so, get down here and try it. Excellent flavors and it’s not done with lime or lemon. The 7 Mares caldos are a huge bowl. It may not look big even when it’s right in front of you but when you dive right in, you have all the seafood in there and the hominy. A couple of my favorite things to eat is the Campachana and ostiones. Campachana is a huge goblet accompanied with a Pacifico would normally satisfy anyone but if you know me, I eat like a pig. So I order a dozen ostiones which were fresh. After a trip to Cancun, I got acquainted with«guacamaya» and«valentino» which are hot sauce at each table. Perfect for seafood and soups. You don’t have to know Spanish but I’m sure the waitress might be impressed that I know how to order let alone eat. Sometimes on Friday nights, there is live music so you can come hang out and dance a little if you feel like it. My favorite to see is the Café Caribe band.
