I found Monica Jones Designs on Craigslist. I liked that she advertised there since I did 99% of my wedding planning on line being that we planned a long distance wedding in Long Beach from our home in the San Francisco bay area. Monica is sweet, friendly and lovely. She was very responsive to my emails and my ideas. She came up with a vision for our bridal party look that was cohesive while being — simple, elegant and chic. Since the hotel’s packaged included the centerpieces I worked with Monica to execute the pieces I really cared about — the bridal party & the church pieces. It was a pleasure to work with her — I gave her my vision, she worked on some ideas & really took care of it all. I LOVED my bridal bouquet — tulips and hydrangeas. The bridesmaids in blue hydrangeas and calla lilies were beautiful. As were the groomsmen in coordinating calla lily boutonnières. Just as lovely were the honored guests — mothers, fathers, grandparents, etc. She labeled all of them so they were easily doled out on the wedding day. Also as lovely were the church pieces — the altar & pew pieces. My only disappointment was that she had said she would«jazz up» my reception centerpieces from the hotel’s vendor with some of the extra hydrangeas to bring the look together — to match our colors & the bridal party. I don’t think that happened — perhaps she ran out of time? I saw that the reception flowers were only those that I had ordered without any«enhancement.» I mean, she didn’t charge me for this, but I was disappointed when it didn’t happen because I was kind of looking forward to it. Her business is emerging and a young professional woman I highly recommend her. She was flexible in our meeting times & professional in all other aspects.
