Stop! Don’t go here, these people are totally taking advantage of having insurance! I came here received rude service and had to wait way to long to be seen with an appt. they said I needed all this work which was odd since I’ve never been told I had unhealthy teeth? I went along w it and returned for more work, then told I needed to come back again. This time I went else where to get a 2^nd option and of course my teeth were perfect! This place is a scam!

After searching for a dentist on line, I came across New Age Dental and decided to give it a try for myself, daughter, and son. About five years later we are still patients of Dr. Yadegar. The receptionist Natalie has always been pleasant and helpful and if she’s away from the front desk, Leticia helps me out after a friendly greeting. I have never had to wait too long before I’m called in and the wait is also short when I’m in the dentist chair. Dr. Yadegar explains the work that needs to be done, and all the staff that has ever worked on me and my children, including the Doctor have always been very friendly and helpful. My hygieneist Marie is the «Bomb». while she is giving me my deep cleaning she talks to me and always asks if I’m okay. All the staff have always been very friendly and helpful. Thank You Dr. Yadegar and New Age Dental staff for making mine and my daughter, and son’s dental experience easy, and for keeping our teeth beautiful.

Love this dentist. Have always been messed over by other dentist. Charge me for work that they did no complete. The people that work at New Age Dental are very concerned about you as a patient, and go out of their way to get you the service you need and deserve. They have helped me out bunch since I have been going here. I can’t remember how many years.

Wow!!! Really! Called to schedule an appointment for after ⁹⁄₁ being that is when my change request takes place. The receptionist 1^st of all did not want to give me an appointment because I was not on her list! (Well duh. Did I not already tell you!) Then in order to get an appointment you want my social security number… Hell no. Not an even traded crazy lady. Bad Business Practices!

The dentist at New Age Dental, is the most gentle, caring, knowledge, and patient dentist I have ever been to. She made sure that I am comfortable and she informed me of the procedures in advance. She explained the procedures in a friendly manner and was ready to answer any questions or concerns I had. I was always pleased with her work when I leavet the office. The office staff is friendly, courteous, and accommodating. This dental office is very clean, calm, and relaxing. Serene music is playing in the background and the office is decorated with beautiful art pieces that helps the patient feel that they are not in a dental office. … I love coming here! The rooms also have great privacy in order to maintain confidentiality. I highly recommend Dr. Yadegar for adults and for kids because she is so gentle and patient. I’ve been seeing Marie at Dr. Yadegar’s office for for about 4 years now. Hands down this has been the best dental experience I’ve had since I moved to California. They are almost always punctual, always kind, and very thorough. Highly recommended.

One of the main reasons that I decided to try New Age was the positive Unilocal reviews. This is especially striking when you read some of the reviews for other dentists in this area; if they are true, we have some serious butchers in this area!
Anyway, I have a lot (and I mean A LOT) of dental experience. I just want to say that there was not one part of my experience here (except the price — just kidding) that wasn’t a good experience.
The receptionist /​front desk people are friendly and helpful, the dental assistant was professional and friendly, the doctor was friendly and quite obviously competent, even the music they played was nice!
I found the price to be reasonable (more than I wanted to pay but less than I thought it would be), and they were very understanding of my financial circumstances.
If I need more dental work, I will be going back here, and I will refer others.

This office is great. I’m not sure where the negative reviews about the staff are coming from, they were all very friendly. Dr. Yadegar was very thoughtful and thorough. I highly recommend.

****RED FLAG**** The dentist told me I had 6 cavities, needed to have a tooth pulled and have a root canal!!! I went for a 2^nd opinion and the other dentist said I had NOTHING wrong with my teeth. Oh and another red flag, while in the waiting room I overheard them instructing a mother that her 7 – 10 y/​o daughter needed a root canal! Don’t say we didn’t warn ya!

I wanted a new dentist. This place seemed pretty good based on reviews, so I went online and changed insures thru Cignas website. Then called the office to set an appointment.
Ends up the female receptionist is a terrible, lazy and rude human being. Or at least the office policies require her to be a total b. Basically, she would not schedule me an appointment. Great strategy for handling a new patient.
She demanded I call my insurance and get them to send paperwork over confirming I had switched. I explained that no other dentist had ever done this, because the prior dentists made the call themselves to confirm (this is true). I guess she was too lazy to call herself. And I genuinely was too busy to do it then, so I told her I would do it by the apptment. She told me she would not schedule anything until then. The back and forth of her rudeness and my confusion continued.
I just decided to go somewhere else, because I cannot get over that first impression of this rude woman.

First, the receptionist is NOT very friendly, bordering on rude. Then, they make us wait almost an hour to just get x-​rays, take my co-​pay and ask me when I’m available to come back for the cleaning. My understanding is that it was to be on the same day but she said there wouldn’t be enough time today so I scheduled a new appointment for a cleaning. Again the wait was another hour with the same unfriendly receptionist. The hygenist was great, I thought she did a very thorough cleaning only to find out that she is a temporary. I saw the dentist for about 5 minutes for a check of my x-​rays and check teeth and that’s it.
Because it was a pain to change dentists through our insurance, we tried it again, this time with my children. Again the wait was long but we came prepared with books, etc. And after the wait, my older child says the male dentist was softer on her mouth than the woman. Turns out the woman was the main dentist. We are NOT going back.

I visited this dental clinic on 6÷7÷2010, after reading the positive Unilocal reviews and b/​c it’s only 5 minutes from my house. Overall, I was not impressed with the service I received (see below for details) and I will not be returning.
1. Friendliness of receptionist– The receptionists (Natalie and Latisha) were not particularly friendly or flexible. I was looking to make a same day appointment to repair a chipped front tooth, and my insurance rep (Delta Care USA) contacted the New Age Dental and verified my eligibility and faxed the necessary documents. However, the actual transmission of the fax was a bit delayed and the receptionists at the New Age Dental, even after speaking w/​the Delta Care USA rep, refused to pencil me in for an appointment, while waiting for the fax. After multiple phone calls, I finally got an appointment. The receptionist (Natalie) at the New Age Dental greeted me when I showed up at the dental office by saying, «your fax hasn’t arrived yet.» There was no «hi» or «hello» (It turned out that another receptionist had already taken care of the insurance verification.)
2. Friendliness of dental assistants– Overall, the service was mediocre, not-​friendly or warm. Even when it was obvious I was looking for more water to gargle my mouth with after an hour-​long treatment, the dental assistant just stood there staring down at me. When I asked for more water or for a mirror to see my filled tooth, the responses I received were curt.
3. Paperwork– I was given about 5 pages of forms to sign prior to my treatment. When I pointed out that I wasn’t given the information that I was supposed to read prior to signing, the dental assistants looked sort of irked and begrudgingly gave me the notice of privacy and disclosure and information on the type of treatment I would be getting.
4. Cost/​Treatment options– Prior to receiving my treatment, I was told that I was to receive a procedure called «bonding» and that it would cost $ 500 and that it was not covered by my insurance. When I expressed my lack of knowledge about the actual procedure and about the going rate for the «bonding» procedure, I was not provided with an explanation of the bonding procedure, alternate procedures or alternate materials, their pros and cons, the typical cost range for such procedures, nor was I told about a payment plan (I saw a brochure for a payment plan at the front desk when I was leaving the dental office). The assistant merely said, «well, the advantage is– you’ll get out of here in an hour.»
5. Treatment– The regular doctor was on her maternity leave. I was treated by a guest dentist, who was the only friendly individual at the office. However, once he was done, he left without any advice on how long I had to wait before eating or if I could chew something hard right away. There were also a couple of other things which didn’t seem right. Most dentists, when they get a new patient (I told the dentist that it had been 4 years since my last dental visit and it was at another clinic), start with a x-​ray of the full mouth. Only my two front teeth were x-​rayed. Also, when filling out the forms, the dentist had me initial next to x-​ray, prophylaxis (cleaning), and filling; however, the dentist never performed teeth cleaning, and I was too numb and a bit too exhausted afterwards to point this out. I’m going to check w/​my insurance to make sure they don’t claim for a procedure that was not performed.
6. ambiance– There wasn’t sufficient privacy between the stalls; lying down, if I turn my head to the side, I could see other patients. Also, while waiting for the dentist, the constant drilling noise from the other stalls could be unnerving. Contrary to what another reviewer wrote, I was not offered a headphone or other forms (such as TV) to drown out the unpleasant noise.
Overall, I think this place has much room for improvement in terms of customer service, and I will be looking for another dentist.

I’ve been a patient here for quite some time and considering all the work I have had done at this office I cannot think of one bad experience.
I had a bridge break on me during the New Years holiday once and Dr Yadegar met me at the office to repair the bridge on New Years day. Being that the bridge was my front teeth I couldn’t imagine having to walk around with no front teeth because the office was closed for the holiday. Now I don’t have any other dentist to compare them to, but I have been nothing but happy with the service they provide and the way they treat their patients.
I highly recommend this office to anyone in the Whittier/​La Mirada area.

I was happy when I first went into the office because everyone was nice and happy. But when it came to the actual treatment part it was a bust. They would not treat me because they felt that I needed something different then my insurance would cover. They said that I needed to pay $ 70 to get my teeth cleaned when the insurance covered all of it. And since I didn’t have any money to do what they said they literally told me to go somewhere else!!! how rude! I will not be going back!

I came here after having a horrible experience at Village Dental in Whietter and Dr. Yagear really saved my life. I was in so much pain and she took the necessary steps to make me comfortable and also refer me to the specialist that I needed in the first place then come back to her and get the work done. She and her team are really the best. Kindness, carring and real professionalism. I now have my daughter and partner going there.

I came to be a client of New Age Dental while attending a local business trade show. My family was looking for a new dentist because most suck. They make you wait in the waiting room forever and try to upsell everything. I understand they have to make a living but I already do a good job with my teeth.
Anyway, my first trip to New Age wasn’t the best. I spent a lot of time in the waiting area (approx 30 mins.) as a new client and that’s not good. I spoke to them about it and it never happened again. Strangely I come to discover that multiple people I know use this same dentist.
I will admit the chairs in the lobby are a little odd. They look like they are missing legs. I suspect they were meant to look this way as some sort of ultra modern new age look. They don’t have an area to entertain your children and in this day and age that could be a drawback depending on your situation. For me it’s fine. My kids have always behaved well in public and don’t need toys at every location I have an appointment at. If it ever was something I thought would be an issue I brought stuff for them. The location isn’t the best in the city but the dentist is young in her practice and as she gains clientele and status she will eventually upgrade locations.
The dental chairs are semi private and I’m not sure what the complainer wants? Private rooms? Go to Beverly Hills for that. This is a regular dental office and most have semi private situations. Personally I don’t really pay attention to what’s going on in other people’s mouths and I’m sure they are that concerned with mine.
This is the best dentist I’ve been to in my life and I’ve been to quite a few. I like her personality and her work. They do offer other things-​improvements-​etc if you choose to buy. If not they don’t pressure you and constantly upsell you (I’ve been going there 3 – 4 years now).
I’m not sure how many people know but this dentist is probably the only one to receive an award from the City of La Mirada for her work with seniors.

This is one of the most thorough dentist’s offices that I’ve been to… and to think I was so sure that, after 30 years, I knew how to take care of my teeth! Not so.
I sound like I’m being sarcastic, but I’m not. I actually do like that they showed me proper brushing technique with both a manual toothbrush and with my Sonicare. I like that they tell me the spots I have been neglecting and give creative suggestions to help me do a better job. I like that they get on my case for not going far up enough between the teeth and gums when I floss. I like that they offer oral cancer screenings, and point out fillings that should be replaced. This is probably stuff that the other reviewer was referring to when she said she feels like a meal ticket, but I like to know all of my options when it comes to my healthcare! In my two visits there, I have not felt like anything was «sold» to me, even though more was definitely offered than at my previous dentists. I’m used to just getting a pat on the back from my dentist for taking reasonably good care of myself, but it’s great to visit someone who looks at their work as a mission — this doc and her staff are out to save all of the teeth in SoCal, one mouth at a time.
Ok, so with all of that good stuff, why didn’t I give the place 5 stars? I was not thrilled with the front office staff, and a bit put off by the chairs without legs in the lobby. Also, the doc doesn’t dress like a dentist — she looks ready to go lunch with the ladies. Yeah, superficial stuff… but it’s all part of the experience. I do have to say that the doc took her time to talk with me about my concerns (although I resisted the urge to ask her to buy complete chairs and suggest that she wear something more dentist-​like) and she took immediate action to fix my front office issues.
Bottom line — if you like to get out of the dentist’s chair as quickly as possible, regardless of the quality of work that was done, you might get antsy here as they examine every nook and cranny of your mouth and explain a detailed course of action. But if you want to take your chompers to the grave, this is the place to go. I have been to a LOT of dentists over the years… this is the best.

Ok. So no one likes going to the dentist. But seriously, this place makes it much less awful. Possibly even pleasant.
I was referred to this place by another stylist and a massage therapist at work, Mission Court Salon. One of their clients is the hygenist here. Nora is her name. And she rocks. She made sure I was comfortable and pain free while I got my deep cleaning done. She talked to me the whole time so that the hour went really fast.
The place is super clean and relaxing.
The actually dentist has a killer style… the first time I came in she had on a polkadot corset top!
I left my other dentist because he was just too far away. And I’m really glad I found these guys. Or gals – as everyone in the office is a lady.
My only disappointment was that it’s not a kid friendly envioonment. As in, I couldn’t take my two year old and nine month old with me. No toys or child waiting area. So that being said, make sure you get a babysitter!
Oh yeah. And for you weeners who get all freaked out about going to the dentist… They have headphones and flat screen TV’s at each chair to help get your mind off it!
