Tip Top Entertainers

For the past few years I have used Elizabeth and her associates as balloon artists at a summer event I help produce for an entire community. This year we had nearly 450 people attend. She and Chano showed up reliably on time and, once again, did an AMAZING job as balloon twisters. Their creativity and versatility is unbelievable, the kids LOVE what they get as a finished balloon concept, and they worked diligently and tirelessly for three long hours without a break. VERY happy to give them a great review!

My mom called Elizabeth at Tip Top Entertainers to get a balloon twister for my daughter’s baptism party. She sent over Chano and he was amazing. I don’t think there was anything he couldn’t make. He had such a great personality too and everyone loved him. My family can’t wait for the next event so that we can use them again. We were very happy with their service!

I recently hired Elizabeth to do face painting, glitter tattoos and balloon twisting at my daughter’s 5^th «Over the Rainbow» birthday party. She was exceptional. She communicated with me prior to the event so we were clear on all details. She arrived promptly, set up quickly and was very proactive in getting the kids involved in her artistry. She was very personable and had a nice way with the kids. Her work was truly beautiful The parents loved the body art as much as the kids. The balloons were spectacular. Many of my guests asked for her name for future use. I will use her again for future parties.

The entertainment for our block party I had originally booked did not work out. I called Elizabeth at Tip Top 3 days before our party, in a panic, and she made everything a-​ok. She herself was already booked for a gig, but she sent an awesome balloon twister, Chano, to our party.
Upon sending her an email, she wrote back to me promptly, followed by a phone call the following morning. Although she manages over 20+ entertainers, she was very organized, knew everyone’s schedules, and could very quickly find someone who matched the criterias we had.
Chano was dressed very neatly, had a big smile on his face, and arrived 20 minutes early to set up and start twisting before all the kids arrived. He had a great attitude. Not only did he continue to twist the balloons throughout the two hour, he also laughed with the kids and seemed to really enjoy his work.
Come to find out, Chano has another profession by trade but is doing balloon twisting because he loves this work and loves to see the smiles on kids’ faces. He really takes pride in what he does.
Of course we gave Chano a nice gratuity. He really made the kids laugh and enjoy our block party very much. I would certainly call Elizabeth again — for our next block party, we want an air brush tattoo artist!
I did not give Tip Top 5 stars because the price they quoted was more expensive than other similar entertainers I had used before. My sister and I book kids entertainers frequently for parties — balloon twisters, caricature artists, air brush tattoo artists, «super hero» training specialists, song and dance guys, magicians, you name it, we’ve booked it. However, booking Tip Top with Unilocal special $ 130 for $ 180 (something like that) did cut down on the cost.
I would book through Elizabeth again because I had a great experience with her personally (as an entertainer as well as a coordinator) and this time, with her associate. However, the higher prices make it a bit more cost prohibitive.

I first wanted to get face painting done for my Grandaughter’s 4^th. birthday party. I was told because the kids would be swimming, it would all wash off. Elizabeth then told me about the tattoos that would not wash off in the pool. We also discuss about balloons. She told me she had some of the best Balloon Artist. So I went with the Balloon Artist, for two hours. I scheduled the Artist for 3:00 pm She said I will send you a link to pay me, and then I will call you. I didn’t hear from Elizabeth, I called her the next day and reminded her to send it. She said I will. I called her 4 different times up until one day before my Grandaughter’s party. I said I guess she doesn’t want my money. So I wasn’t expecting anyone from her company, because she never called me nor sent me the link to pay her.
The day of my Grandaughter’s party 06/​08/​2013, Karen, the owner of the house came and asked me did you hire someone for tattoos? He is at the gate. I looked at Karen dumbfounded. I said I didn’t think anyone was coming. I asked him what company are you from? He said Tip Top Entertainers, Elizabeth sent me. I told him that I wasn’t expecting anyone. He said do you still want me? I can leave… So instead of a Balloon Artist, I ended up with «Special K» a scruffy Guy, in my opinion wasn’t dressed properly for a party, he was nice. But he looked sweaty, not very neat looking, he could of use a better pair of shoes, those were very worn, and a hair cut, and mustache trim
I must say the kids and adults wre happy with the tattoos.
During his 2 hour stay, he did stay a little over that, but that was his choice, I did remind him of the time. I did offer him food, which he excepted.
Special K had Elizabeth call me, but I really couldn’t talk to her then, the party was still going on. Called her the next day to let her know, she sent the wrong person. She made excuses, saying she had a busy week (sounds like she needs an assistant) and gave me a $ 20.00 discount.
This was my first experience with hiring entertainment for a party, maybe it will be better next year. I may give Elizabeth another chance, If we give the party in Rancho Cucamonga again.

Boo Urns.
Had these people picked out for a child’s first birthday party and even had a lengthy phone confirmation. Everything seemed fine. We were very accommodating to their payment method and told them we’d do whatever was easiest for them… then they call back 4 days before the party to say the artist will be out of town. You don’t know this more than four days out??? I highly doubt that. Totally unprofessional big time drop of the ball.
AND to boot they were rude when they told us their artist was not going to be available. The one they had previously confirmed.
Book elsewhere unless you want to find yourself in the same mad dash.
**No I stand by my review despite the owner’s attempt to discredit it. Unilocal is the place where you get all sorts of reviews of peoples’ different experiences like it or not. And I think the syntax and diction make it all make perfect sense. Unless there’s another Tip Top based out of La Mirada this is the right place. PS you spoke with a different member of my family for a party we were planning so maybe that’s why the name doesn’t ring a bell. Thanks****
