La Palma Christian School

We love LPCP! As teachers ourselves, we researched and visited many different preschools in the area. It was upon our first visit to LPCP that we knew this was the place for our son. The preschool director is a warm and fun momma and she treats the kids like her own kiddos. The teachers were wonderful; I will say that the pre-​k class had a firm teacher but I was happy to see a variety of teaching styles and personalities— that’s what our children should get to know from the get go (learning that not everyone is going to be cutesy or tolerate everything). The facilities were clean, great smelling (let’s admit it, some preschools aren’t), and inviting. Moreover, my son learned so much and being that he is in his first few months of kindergarten, his preparation from this preschool has placed him ahead of his classmates and prepared him for school expectations.
We love this preschool and look forward to our next son attending soon!

This school saved my daughter. We moved her to LPCS in the 8^th grade from the horrific public school next door. She will graduate next year from the high school. Her education has been far beyond what her friends received in the public schools. She has been loved on and lead to the cross. Her experience has matured her in life, talents and faith. Thank you!

This Christian school gives all other Christian schools a bad name. I think most of the teachers are parents and members of thr church who needed jobs and who decided they randomly wanted to be teachers, or at least that’s how it appeared. They say the school is open to the public but if you didn’t start at kindergarten or if your not a church member your pretty much an outsider. The HS. is basically a home school where a mom who decided she was «ok» at math is the teacher and a useless one at that. And they charge you $ 400.00 a month for her to babysit not teach your kids. There is very little love of God in this school if your a non member of their church. If you are looking for a real Christian private school where you don’t have to be a member of the church to get treated fairly I would not recommend this school. It literally was a waste of money and time for my child.

I have been taking my 2 year old here for preschool full time since the end of August. He is in Miss Kelcies class and she is great. My son loves going to school and loves the teachers, all of them. The director, Mrs. Szalene is amazing. My son had a little separation anxiety the first two weeks and she assured me he would get over it, and he did! Everyone there is super friendly and most importantly, I feel my son is SAFE and in a SAFE environment. The Tuition is very affordable and they are open from 6am-​6pm which is accommodating for me and my work schedule. If you are interested, I would highly recommend them, it is at a Christian church, so if you aren’t into religion, this wouldn’t be a good choice for obvious reason. Its a perfect fit for our family and recommend it anyone.

My daughter and god son have been both attending since they were 3 my daughter is now going on 5 and moving up to kindergarten and my god son moving up to the 4 year old class. The class size is the ideal class size all parents are really looking for. The 2 year old class size is only about 8 kids to 1 teacher and the 3 year olds are about 9 maybe 10. The 4 year olds are just about 15 kids with two teachers. So our daughter gets the best attention. The class size also goes the same with kindergarten and up. The teachers are all sweet very caring and understanding to each Childs needs. When my daughter is sad in the morning Ms. Carol who was her teacher when she was 3 will take her and sit her on her lap and just hug her which really helps. You will just love the principle which is also the pastor which the school is connected to. You will fall in love with Ms. Zalene who runs the pre-​school side who is just the sweetest most amazing lady. And I must add that you would pay maybe 700 or 800 a month for a day care somewhere else! You pay way under 600 for daycare plus learning and activities for your child here!!! Can’t beat that!

my employer and i did a movie night here which was funded by the PTA (or something of those sorts)
it is a nice enough school, it’s hard to tell if kids would enjoy it seeing that i am no longer one.
but it is quant and worth looking into if you are looking for a christian school to send your child (ren) to.

I am sorry but I had to give this school a 1 star. Mainly because of the lady who answers the phone. Very RUDE! I called one time many months back to inquire about the preschool, and that first time I called already gave me a bad impression. She said in a voice that sounded soo irritated that they don’t have any openings for preschool and I proceeded to ask what the rates were, etc and she gave me the worst attitude. So I thought I would give it another try since my daughter is really ready to go to school and I called today and I got the same rude attitude! Not sure if it was the person who I talked to the first time, but she was very rude as well. How am I supposed to know that they are at capacity again! You would think that somoene who works at a Christian School would have manners and treat their clientele politely! I am sorry I did not get to try this school. You never know the education may be great. But that first and second impression just did it for me!

I don’t know much about what goes on inside but i do drive by this place on my way to work and i can give you the history of it which basically goes something like this:
it used to be a house — LITERALLY — with a backyard that i guess someone decided to use as a preschool. about 2 years ago, they demolished it and built this 2 story INSTITUTION that you see now.
now if they’re going to spend that much money remodeling, they must be doing something right so yeah — i assume this place is good.

This is a school where the teachers and staff really show they love the children. My daughter attends the preschool and she’s always excited to go to school and play with her friends. The tuition is really cheap. The classrooms for the preschoolers is a bit small but it’s okay because there is only about 12 preschoolers in a room. The teacher/​child ratio is about 1:12. There hours are great, they’re open from 6am to 6pm. It’s about $ 440 per month for full-​time (5 days a week). Two snacks are provided. You pay for lunch as you go. Right now a hot lunch is $ 2.75. You can always have your child bring lunch. They don’t mircowave food. So I usually pack my daughter a sandwich or lunchables.
