H&R Block

I have had to go to their office now 5 times for my taxes this year and I still haven’t received my full refund. The original tax «professional» when asked about the significant difference in my taxes from last year told me «well, it is what it is.» After carefully comparing my taxes to the year before I found an error he made that got us an additional refund of over $ 300 but because they incorrectly e filed our taxes we had to send the correction by mail so we still haven’t received our full refund. They also called about an issue with my state taxes that took another week to correct and they wanted to file them by mail too but I insisted it be done electronically to ensure they were completed correctly.
I was told I needed to speak with customer service about my dissatisfaction with the services received since I basically had to correct my own taxes. Called customer service who created a case number after having my «call dropped» three times and was told someone would be in contact with me in 7 – 10 business days. I got a call on April 1, which must have been an April fools joke since they told me there was nothing they could do and I needed to follow up with the store. I can’t believe that no one is willing to be held accountable. I have never gotten the run around from a company like this before especially one I thought was credible. Also this has shown me that they don’t actually stand behind their promises. I had to pay extra for the «guarantee» they offer.
Never going back to this store and will now never file my taxes with H&R Block ever again. I guess I have a year to brush up on my accounting skills!
