Description

Specialties

Our menu comprises mainly American and Mexican dishes with occasional specialities. Nina’s also serves beers and wines in addition to soft drinks, coffee, tea, and bottled water. The menu also lists low calorie dishes for those on restricted diets. Many food items can be purchased either individually — burgers, hotdogs, sandwiches, etc — or in a plate with choice of extras.

History

Established in 2004.

Having opened for business in June 2004, Nina’s has become one of La Puente’s premier dining establishments. The restaurant is located in the heart of the downtown business district, one block off Main Street and a block and a half from La Puente City Hall. Nina’s has an awning-covered outdoor patio, which is an ideal place to enjoy one of Nina’s great dishes on a balmy Southern California day.

We are open for breakfast and lunch, 7:00 AM — 2:00 PM Monday through Friday, and for dinner on «Taco Tuesday» from 5:30 to 8:30 PM. Nina’s regular customers include L.A. County Sheriffs and Firefighters, La Puente City Hall employees, and many residents and businesses from the city and nearby areas.

Nina A.

Business Owner

Nina Arriola has been in the food service industry for 26 years, having managed a Shakey’s Pizza restaurant for more than 15 years and served in various capacities at other eating establishments for many years.

Nina’s restaurant has been open for almost 10 years — June 25, 2013 will be its 10th anniversary — and has established a loyal and growing customer base through word of mouth advertising only. The restaurant is owned and operated by Nina and her daughter Natalie and has one regular employee. On busy days, Nina is assisted by friends who come in and wait tables or wash dishes, whatever’s necessary.

Nina, Natalie, and Natalia, their lone employee, are the greatest! The cooking is first rate and the service, which is friendly and quick, can’t be beat. Nina’s has an extensive menu, which includes breakfast and lunch items. The types of fare offered are primarily American and Mexican dishes. Nina’s also has daily specials, which do not appear on the menu, but are delicious.
