The front lady is rude. I believe her name is Barbara. I waited 2 hours for a simple check up and 2 vaccine. However the other girls are very nice. If the front lady is giving you attitude talk to the other girls and they will be very helpful.

HORRIBLE!!! They use scare tactics to get you to spend MORE MONEY, SHAME that they can use your dogs health and well being against a customer simply because I am not veterinary trained. Unethical if you ask me, I go to a trained veterinarian to seek help not to have them scare me into spending more money.

Great animal hospital that is efficient and fast with service and provides great prices for pets vaccinations.

My family and I have been bringing our pets here for a few years. At best, the doctor is kind but the staff is pretty horrible. It seems as though they haven’t been trained at all in this field of work and are just asking the doctor questions that we, ourselves are asking.
Some examples of my qualms are:
Appointments. Don’t use an appointment system, also taking walk-​ins, knowing that you only have one doctor. They should definitely take into account how long a normal office visit is for the animals.
Medication pick-​up. My dog’s medication has to be re-​filled on a bi-​monthly basis. The first couple of times, I noticed it took about 30 – 40 minutes for my medicine to be ready. The «nurse» then told me I should call ahead of time so that I can just pick it up. And so every time since then I’ve called to avoid waiting but it still hasn’t done any good. They don’t start preparing the medicine until I arrive.
Hidden fees are another problem. My dog was due for blood tests so I called a couple of days ago to ask what the total amount due would be. They told me $ 165.50. I go to my appointment today at 10:15. The lobby is crowded to the point where there’s no seating room. I’m finally seen about 45 minutes after my appointment time. When my dog is about to be taken for the exam, they hand me the paper with the fees. Now it says $ 200. Apparently the cost of the blood tests wasn’t including the actual office visit, which they failed to mention. I asked if I could pay the difference the next day, perhaps. They told me they don’t do payments and that I couldn’t be seen until I had the full amount and if I didn’t have the full amount within 5 days, I’d be charged an additional $ 34.
I’ve tried to keep my cool for a really long time but I think this facility is pretty ridiculous and I’m actively searching for a better animal hospital.

I have many animals and since my regular vet died I have used many vets around Southern California. I love Dr Kumar and his staff. He has the experience to diagnose quickly and accurately. His prices are reasonable. He has a kind heart and is good with animals. The staff is very nice and efficient. I drive two hours to use Dr Kumar. I highly recommend him. He and his staff are very good

My pug had an allergy reaction and I had to take him for a quick vet visit on a Sunday. This was one of the few vet hospital operating on a Sunday, so I decided to drop by.
Called in for an appointment but still had to wait for an hour until we were situated in the examine room. The smell of urine in the waiting room was pretty strong, I don’t know how the staff was able to handle this on a daily basis.
The day I came in, another Dr was «subbing». He described all the possible treatments and answered all my millions of questions. Went home with some prescribed drugs and we were on our way. Total visit time ~2 hrs.

Took my puppy here for a physical and they told us that she is sick so they gave her two shots after we got home she wasnt herself anymore and got super sick and didnt feel like walking and eating. The day after we took her again and ask them whats up with my dog feeling like this. And the doctor or nurse never told us the effects of the shots she got. So that day the doctor yelled at my mom saying that if she doesnt trust him then go find someone else. I just feel like he wants you to take all this stuff for your pet and just wants your money. After that we are never coming back again

If putting your beloved dog down-​please read this review because there is one or two things you should be aware of… the biggest is that the vet doesn’t actually see your dog before you put them down– that is an extra fee which seems unethical. What if I was destroying a healthy dog or one that wasn’t mine?
Let’s first get to the hard truth: I had to euthanize my doggie of 15 years. It was time… My Chewy wasn’t well… that was a couple weeks back
This location was not my usual vet (when I called my usual vet — couple days before the woman who answered was bitchy and I just didn’t want to deal with that) but I had used their disposal services when another of our doggies had passed away in our front yard a 18 months before… I believe the fee for disposal was around $ 50 for her as she was under 50 pounds. They handled her remains with care.
I called them ahead to make arrangements. I was quoted approx $ 150 price for disposal and euthanasia services. They were busy that evening and it was toward closing (an hour before) so
I told them I wanted to wait with my doggie in the car because it was more peaceful (other dogs can scare him and usually he didn’t like vet building smells). I gave them my number to call when they had a room ready… which they did.
When I walked into the examination room, I was shocked that they just handled me the paper to sign authorizing the euthanasia… I had taken our previous older dog to a different vet to put her down but the vet saw her and said, no she may not be as bad as you think, let’s try this or that… And she had lived. So that they just expected me to sign away his life without a professional even looking at him weirded me out. I asked for a vet to confirm my choice which cost an extra $ 35. Obviously it was worth it for my piece of mind that I wasn’t jumping the gun, but I couldn’t believe they were just going to take him on my word…
The vet Dr. Kumar looked over Chewy and took all the facts into account– he gave me piece of mind that a couple of grave scenarios could be happening. What had been worrying me the most was that I had to decide to be in the room or not– but this vet prefers owners are not in the room which made it easier for me because the choice was impossible (I had down it with a past doggie many years ago and it wasn’t positive). They do give you the option of seeing your dog after they have passed but I declined. I stayed with chewy and gave him love until I was ready. It was after closing but I was not rushed…
Please read: if you are putting your dog down, pay first… It was horrible to give him away to the assistant and then have to stand there while a credit card machine was giving them problems knowing he was likely being injected. I would have paid before I left him…
This place handled everything well except that the biggie of being willing to put your dog down without having a vet even look at them… Still smh on that one.

Careful and compassionate with pets. If you’re financially restricted you should definitely take your pets here. They took care of my angel when we had to put him down and they were quick to assist. You can genuinely tell when someone truly cares for your pet and I will be bringing my other little girl here for check ups. I looked around for a while when I needed help and they were the best option. Clean, quick, and reasonable charge :)

Just picked up my cat from getting groomed. when i dropped her off they told me she would be ready by 3pm and i never received a phone call saying she was ready so at 4:30pm i called and asked them if she was ready to be picked up and they said «yes» however when i arrived i had to sign in and wait for about an hour. There was only two other customers before me and they both left before they brought my cat out. Also they gave me a different carrier than the one i brought her in. But aside from that my cat smells like a fresh bouquet of flowers and is nice and soft. So if you plan on taking your pet there to get groomed i recommend taking them some place else unless you dont mind waiting an hour :)

As well as having my very own dog, I do a lot of personal rescue. No I am not a large or funded rescue group. I choose to do dog rescue because it needs to be done. Dr. Kumar and his staff are 5 star plus. This is not a place where it’s just about $$$$$$$$$. This is truly a dedicated Doctor, and he has obviously trained his staff with the same mentality. Dr, Kumar is owed a tremendous debt of gratitude for the tremendous work he does for the many rescued animals he treats. He is truly a very talented physician as well as a philanthropic man.

Today I brought our dogs to get groomed. Saulo the groomer is awesome. He did a wonderful job on our wired Doxie and Chihuahua. Both dogs came out of their appointment super happy and NOT. stressed. Saulo is very loving and we will be back!

Dr. Kumar is one of the most honest veterinarian’s that I have come across. He will care for your animal as his own & as a pet owner there is nothing else more comforting. His prices are also very reasonable! Great staff & convenient office location. I will not go anywhere else!

I have been bringing my pets to Dr Kumar for about ten years, this just about sums up my experience, but I will elaborate. He and his staff have always been accommodating and professional. My dogs are my babies and the staff respect and understand and treat my babies the way I expect everyone to treat them, very well. Tanya is always pleasant and a pleasure to work with. I have tried other vets just to be sure that my babies are getting the best, but I always return to Dr Kumar. As a matter of fact I was there today for a teeth cleaning and all went very well and the price was very good. I will continue to bring my pets to Dr Kumar of years to come. Thank you Southern California Animal Hospital for all the great work.

Staff is very polite, great attitude, and seem like they like working with animals which was cool. I’ve been to other Veterinarians and it seems like they hate their job (staff). Plus they gave my puppy it’s shots super fast he didn’t even budge.
I also used their $ 20 for $ 30 deal here on Unilocal.
I would definitely recommend this Animal Hospital.

I took my dog here to get spayed. I am very happy with my experience. Sure, there’s a «distinct» smell in the office but its a vet! There are animals in there Lol can’t always smell like roses. The prices were very reasonable. I quoted around and they gave me the best deal! The staff was very helpful and nice. They answered all of my questions and were easy to talk to. The wait to pick her up took a little while because they were busy but it wasn’t awful. The doctor was awesome! He was very nice and cared about my dog. I felt really at ease after I spoke with him. I went to two vets before him and I didn’t feel like either of them cared about the well being of my dog. But Dr. K was different. This place is close to home, reasonably priced, and has a great staff. I had a very good experience!

They’re so nice and so attentive. I love bringing my cats here. The staff is great. very polite. great attitude… I definitely recommend this hospital.

Dr. Kumar and his staff were great and very friendly. They had plenty of patience and explained everything my dog needed. They gave my dog the best possible care. Bring your pets here!
What’s great is that they are open 7 days a week. Limited hours on the weekend, but still convenient.

It was my first time going to this animal hospital on Thursday the 15^th of August and today was my second time going but the staff was very friendly and helpful. I have no complaints and will be returning. Thanks for the help So Cal Animal Hospital :)

I brought my Chinchilla in here once and I have to say the place was ridiculously filthy the only reason why I am giving this place two stars instead of one is because she actually got better, but I don’t think I will ever come back here again.
