LOVEDESERT C.A.M. The majority of their work is providing programming and TV specials to HBO, Disney, PBS, Travel Channel, and A&E, as well as BBCTV in the UK. But they also do indie films, music videos and more. Even if all you want them to do is make a local TV ad spot, they really know their stuff. You won’t be disappointed by Desert C.A.M.

Desert C.A.M. Studios/Winmill Films, LLC set out to create a film and video production oasis in the high desert near Palm Springs, CA, an iconic international vacation and gaming resort, a haven for domestic tourists, and a favorite for Canadians and European visitors. Yet the area has surprisingly limited production facilities or available experienced crews. So DCAM Studios’ goal is to be the only show in town, the big fish in the little pond, so to speak — offering area clientele, full post-production video and audio services, an inventory of film and video equipment rentals, a mini-TV taping stage, and the services and experience of their talented and knowledgeable staff.
DCAM Studios is centrally located, ideal for their LA, Canadian, and East Coast clients, as well as for their local and regional clients in the Palm Springs area, clients in the other major desert cities, and customers in greater Riverside County. The DCAM Studios facility is basically a large converted private home in a beautiful, golf club scenic business district. Their facility concept is that of a Hollywood-like mini-production and post-production, multi-faceted studio, all set inside a spacious home as opposed to a standard business structure, making the home inspiring to work in. The grounds are beautiful and relaxing, and it’s private, with a wonderful creative ambience. the company partners were inspired by directors Steven Spielberg and his Amblin Films production home plopped smack in the center of the Universal Studios lot in Burbank, as well as Ronnie Howard’s Imagine Films home placed on the 20th Century Fox lot. Essentially both of these legendary filmmakers converted large private homes into film and video production/post-production facilities, giving the overall environment a better vibe than a standard office or corporate environment. The DCAM Studios home is located in La Quinta, CA, just walking distance from the annual world famous Coachella Music and Stagecoach Festivals grounds, 40 minute drive to the panoramic Joshua Tree National Monument, and blocks from the Historic Village of Old Town La Quinta, a home for many film and television celebrities, and linked forever to Hollywood’s golden past. Icons like Frank Capra lived at The La Quinta Resort & Spa, writing many of his greatest screenplays here, from«It’s A Wonderful Life» and«Mr. Smith Goes to Washington,» to «It Happened One Night» and«The Lost Horizon.» Legendary actors Clark Gable and Carole Lombard often secluded themselves here, as well as Ginger Rogers, Spencer Tracy, Natalie Wood, Robert Wagner, Marilyn Monroe, and Red Skelton, to name a few. Some of the current full time and part time celeb residents include, Clint Eastwood(owns an eatery in the Village), Richard Dreyfuss, William Devane, James Darren, Arnold Palmer, Goldie Hawn, Lindsay Wagner, Jeff Lynne(Electric Light Orchestra, Travelling Wilburys), Jennifer Aniston, and motivational guru, Tony Robbins(also a DCAM Studios client). Several US Presidents and a number of World Leaders have also vacationed here. And recently, the Resort hosted dozens of VIP’s for the important international meeting between President Obama and President Xi of the People’s Republic of China, held just a few miles away at the Annenberg/Sunnyland estate. DCAM Studios has a focused and reachable goal, attainable through strong industry connections around the world, and providing excellent and unique creative and technical services, and professionally delivered final product, at competitive, but at profitable fees. Solid account representation, creative and technical staff support, and strong sales structures, combined with thirty years of award-winning experience in film, video, and TV; directing, writing, editing, producing, shooting, post-production, and distribution, gives DCAM Studios the edge over the limited local competitors in the desert. With satisfied clients from LA to the high desert, DCAM Studios has already created and delivered some outstanding projects in its first year. They produced special projects, delivering national and local programs to PBSTV, Public Television, CBS, VH-1, MTV, and Time-Warner — from music and dance specials, to live concert tapings, music videos, commercials, voice-overs, and infomercials. In its two years, DCAM has secured the support and endorsement of the Palm Springs Film Commission, The Inland Valley Film Commission, Palm Springs Women in Film &TV, The Desert Sun Newspaper, KKJZ Radio, and the Mayor of La Quinta. To date, DCAM Studios has had feature stories in numerous high profile regional and local magazines, newspapers, radio, and local TV coverage.
