Rudy’s has become our go-to liquor store when visiting Starved Rock or passing by on I-80. They have a really impressive craft beer selection, what seemed like well over 500. Whiskey selection was top notch too. The employees have always been friendly, and helped out when needed. There always seems to be new seasonal beers arriving, and generally i’ll find something here that I can’t find elsewhere. Pricing here was pretty good across the board. Everything is clean and well organized. There was a bottle chiller station by the back coolers for beer/wine on the numerous shelves. Easily the best beer selection around, although the new HyVee in Peru is pretty respectable too.

Rudy’s is one of the best liquor stores I have been to, they boast a large selection of wine, as well a good selection of beer. The prices are higher than some stores but they are still extremely competitive. I do not get the chance to swing in here very often and you wouldn’t know it by how the staff treats you they have all been extremely helpful to this out of townee.

Excellent selection and fair prices(especially for an independent shop)! Living in Chicago and frequenting a place as large as Binny’s spoils me for selection, but Rudy’s offers a TON of small label whiskeys and they have a huge selection from small breweries all across the country. When I asked about Old Overholt – a tasty, cheap rye – the sales person told me that if I don’t see something, chances are they can order it. It’s nice to know that when I visit this part of Illinios, I can rely on Rudy’s to have what I need.

I love going to Rudy’s Liquor to buy my alcohol. They don’t stay open late enough but they have a large selection of wines, beer, and hard liquor. They are open 9am to 9pm Sunday through Thursday and then open until 10pm on Friday and Saturday nights. They are only open until 6pm on holidays which is decent because everyone needs to close down their business to spend with their family on holidays that they celebrate. I personally think all businesses should limit their hours on holidays to be fair to their employees who are religious or spend holidays with their families. Well, to get back to the subject matter at hand, I always enjoy going into Rudy’s because they have decent prices on alcohol and their staff is always friendly and very knowledgeable on what they have to offer. If someone is on the floor stocking, they always ask if you need help and then know how to help you. Asking if you need help is also a ploy that businesses use to deter people from stealing but I like being helped when I am looking for something in particular. I love buying their gift sets there because you get the alcohol and then glasses or a shaker to go with it that has the beverage maker’s logo on it. These gift sets are a great value and good to buy for friends or yourself if you want what is sold along with the liquor. They have one of the largest wine selections in the area too if you like that sort of thing and if you drink beer, they do mix and match bottles of specialty beers and such. I know downtown LaSalle can be pretty seedy sometimes, but I still think you should check this place out if you are looking for something good to drink.
