I’m so upset I could cry!!! I went in for a pedi and then they talked me into a mani, as she was doing my mani she looked at me and said she would wax my eyebrows I said ok then she proceeded to wax my whole face and I mean my whole face she even waxed my forehead(to my shock) I said your going to wax my forehead??? she sad yes you have hair! Ok wow I never saw hair but ok I guess… After she was done waxing she walked over and whispered something in one of the other employees ears and they both looked at me with a surprised look and I thought it was because she told her I was a hair monster I mean gosh to have to have my forehead waxed I must be… So I felt ashamed of myself for a minute! Then they all packed up their stuff and told me I had to pay now! They close at 7 and it was only 6:30 my nails were still wet but I paid a whooping $ 120. Mind you I only went for the pedi… I was rushed out the door to see her get in her BMW and drive away fast. I got in my car and looked in the mirror to see half of my eye brow is missing I look like vanilla ice! I have never been very vain but seriously this is horrible I don’t know if I can even fix it! never ever go here!!! Nails looked horrible as well but that is the least of my worries at this point!

I usually go to Lynn — that’s the only reason it’s a 3. If it weren’t for her, it would be a 2. Lynn is AMAZING. She is only in thu-sat. She is very thorough. The others. Nope. Wentast week with my mom. 2 mani, 2 pedis $ 109! Manis were just color changes. These women seriously talk bad about you and stare. And one of the ladies who did my mani kept harassing me about adding on. Over and over. Finally I let her do nail art. My 3 year old son could’ve done better!!! Soooooooo awful. Don’t get nail art. It’s horrible. While my moms foot rub was filling, the women walked away and her tub started to overflow and flood the floor!

I’ve tried this place a handful of times, did a ok job on my gel manicure. Went there recently to get a fill and the nail girl cut at least four of my cuticles with the drill. I was bleeding. Then proceeded to wipe the cuticle oil off with the towel so rough, making me bleed more. I thought it was just this particular nail girl, hadn’t been to her before. So, I decided to go in for a fill with Holly. She let me know I should get a new full set cause mine were lifting, I was fine with that. Until she started to pull them off by jamming a tip under the nail to pry them off. Ripping the corner of one of my nails off. It hurt like hell. I was seriously ready to get up and deck her and I am not a violent person. Lol. It was bleeding pretty bad. Dripping. She proceeded to put superglue on it to stop the bleeding. Then she tries to file it. Again I pulled my hand away and said ouch! Hello! Filing my bleeding ripped nail? The other thing that bothered me was that I was bleeding a lot. She wiped it with the towel and it got all over her fingers and nail. Ewww. She didn’t even get up to wash her hands? Gross. Definitely not a sanitary place after seeing this. Or maybe I should say she isn’t a sanitary person, cause the place looks to be clean, but what about her tools? So now I have a throbbing finger and I am praying I don’t get an infection. Along with some other sore nails from her ripping my tips off. Never again will I step foot in that place. I know a lot of friends that go there. Just for sanitary reasons, I wouldn’t step foot in there again. I have been to most the salons in La Verne and this one is the worst!

I really don’t know why this place has only 2 stars. My mom and I come here every month and we love it here! The place is very clean and nicely decorated. My mom always gets Jane to do her nails and she is always very satisfied. I recently just started requesting my appointments with Holly and she does a fantastic job! We both always get gel nails here. They have a wide selection, pay attention to detail, and truly care for you!

The owners & all the ladies here are very friendly & do a good job. They know me & my family, really care about us & providing great services. I always get the gel mani, & sometimes gel pedi too. The gel brand they use lasts me 3 weeks, sometimes 4 weeks(if my schedule doesn’t allow me to come in before this length of time). For nail art, Holly is on top of the latest nail art trends & always blows me out of the water with her amazing designs(see 4th of July pic). Overall the salon is clean & tidy. My family & I have been coming here for years, & will for many more to come.

I’ve been coming to the salon for about 4 years now and I have never had a bad experience. All the girls are nice and do a good job. I started with tips and as they grew out I had them do a gel overlay. I’ve had this done at other places and didn’t get good results. But Holly takes care of my nails and they are natural looking and kept at the perfect length each time(I type a lot). Holly and Jane are the only ones that do my waxing and I’ve not been burned or had a bad reaction. This has been the only place that does not make me breakout after a wax. I’ve tried other places(including upscale salons) and I always breakout. So I am happy here :) I’m very surprised at the negative comments about this place. There are days when they are busting at the seams because they are so busy and some days aren’t busy and that’s when I enjoy coming.

I came here with my mom and we had pedicures manicures(mine was gel for both, my mom’s plain), and my mom got eyebrow and lip wax. Total $ 109. Pricey but we got great service so I didn’t complain. That was Saturday the 17th. Fast forward to Sunday 1⁄25(8 days later). My gel was totally bubbled b it did not last the 2 – 3 weeks as promised. I went to Holly who didn’t have the color I wanted(nor was it there on the 17 th). She filed the crap or if my nails and made three of my cuticles bleed. OUCH! There still store three hours later. I did like that she recommended a French manicure so the growth wouldn’t show as much, but OUCH. This was my third visit, and the other two times were fine. If this gel lasts I may go back but for $ 32 it had better last more than 8 days!

Sadly, I will not go back. I needed to get my acrylic nails removed and new ones attached. I have never had so much pain in my life! The nail removal was done without a soak, the manicurist said I didn’t need it, she would be quick. It was not quick! I was cut through the nail, which bled. And my cuticle was sliced. No joke, I almost passed-out. My nails were sore for days. I cannot recommend Holly. I have had a pedicure at Excel and it was fine.

I’m here now at the Nail-Spa Excel in La Verne. I forgot my protein clear nail polish so I just wanted a manicure and pedicure but no polish on my hands so when I got home I could put my own polish on. Well, they proceed to buff my nails and charge extra to buff & when I asked if they were charging for any extras other than the French manicure on my toes, they said yes. I said I don’t want to pay to buff when I’m saving u step to not have to polish. They really should have communicated any upgraded charges for extras. Well, they got upset & said they wouldn’t charge but gave me one hand buffed and one hand not buffed & without polish; it’s noticeable. Oh well, but then it gets better(oh I mean worse) they talked fast and started rubbing fast and hard and I don’t think I’ve ever had a quicker lady put lotion on my hands… Now, on my feet, same thing! She only wanted to use the pumice once cause I wouldn’t pay for calace removal. I guess if u don’t have upgrades, they give you the bare bones service without a smile; with a snarl…

A decent end result-but hatched at my nails and cuticles with no regard. Ouch!!! Didn’t even bother to finish my service before moving on to next customers. Very poor customer service, especially once I declined any up charges. I do not recommend.

NOT happy at all. Idk why I used to go to this place? But 4wks ago, was the LAST time! WOOHOO! Ok, soo. I asked for short nails, she did them long. I requested over, and over again for her to cut or file them down, in one ear, out the other. I asked if she can do cheetah print, she said yes, she did 3 tries, I finally just said whatever, after being there 1.5 hours, I just wanted to get our of there… They’re pricing is ridiculous, they always try to up sell anything and everything. at the end of my very long and unpleasant day there, for nails and a pedi(that was only 10mins long) cost me $ 72 I had asked how much was each? And all she said, was«ohh heheh», like if she didn’t understand me. Sadly 3 days after my nails started to bubble, and my middle finger nail began to lift smh. I now thank gawd found a new nail place! :) tho it’s far, id rather drive the drive than over pay for something that I’m not happy with.

I went here a few days ago for a manicure and pedicure. To say the least I was not pleased with either. Both were rushed and very sloppy. I paid $ 65 for a mani and pedi that I was not happy with($ 40 for the pedi and $ 15 for the mani). I will not be returning.

I know there are some mediocre reviews but… I am extremely picky about pedicures. I want to go often at a reasonable price. I just can afford to go more than 2 times a month at 60+ a manicure for it to be mediocre, which is what I have been experiencing. I have tried many a place in the area and I keep coming back here because of the cost and AMY. She is the only one that I will see for a pedicure. She spends a lot of time. you can’t beat the price. It’s about 40 or a little more for the deluxe pedi. You get the callous remover, longer massage as well as the paraffin treatment. I can actually go about 3 weeks… sometimes I stretch it, before I need to get another pedicure. AMY actually paints the front of your nails so when you look at them forward you don’t see the white of your freshly cut nails… the more expensive places that I have gone to don’t even do this… Where am I comparing just so you know where I have been… Laquered Up, The Claremont CLub, Hands Down… I have seen her clean her instruments as well.

AMY is excellent at eyebrow/face waxing. She is gentle(as possible) and a perfectionist. I don’t go here for any other services, because Joy at Hanna Nails in Glendora is WAY better with designs and their prices are WAY better.

I come here only to get my eyebrows waxed. and I ALWAYS go to Lisa. She is the best. She is so nice, she is gentle, she is a perfectionist, and she gives you a little head massage too. Sometimes if Lisa is not there, I go to Amy. However… there is a lady by the name of CATHY. whom you should avoid at all costs. I usually never go to her because she is usually really rough. Any procedure done with the face, whether it be waxing, facial, massage, etc. whatever it may be. it should usually be done in a gentle, relaxing manner. Cathy puts on oils, puts on wax, rips the strip off. everything and anything with what feels like ANGER. Pure anger. I swear, she does everything as if I Falcon Punched her, as if I’m holding her kids hostage, as if I’ve stabbed her in the back with a machete and twisted it! Today, she came up to me and told me she was ready to help me. I didn’t feel like asking for someone else, so I just went with her, knowing how bad she was. I could take it. right? After she was done with her angry waxing session. she started brushing my hair away from my face(yes, with anger, as well). and then, all of a sudden I felt her putting wax along my hairline. Then, a strip of paper, then rip. Wait. the hell??? What the hell just happened? Did she just WAXMYHAIRLINE??? She waxed my FOREHEAD. What the HELL? You would think she would ASKFIRST! I asked her if people do this all the time, and she says yeah. I’ve been coming here for at least two years, and no one has ever done that. I guess people wax off their baby hairs. I have no idea. I never even knew the hair on my forehead needed to be waxed! Apparently I’m a hairy oaf! I’ll keep coming back because I sincerely love Lisa, but. if Cathy ever comes near me with a popsicle stick of gooey wax, I will punch her in the throat!

I happen to like this salon. It’s usually busy and I leave satisfied. My mom and I ask for the same person everytime. Amy is great at pedicures. She really takes her time and makes sure I’m comfortable. Just the other day she spent almost an hour and half giving me the deluxe pedi, which I always enjoy. I like getting little designs and shes pretty good at them. She does waxing too. On the negative tip, whenever theres a walk-in for a wax, she’ll stop with the pedicure, do the wax and come back. That has happened once to me while getting a pedi, but Ive witnessed it done to other customers too. I usually ask for Tammy for manicures. She’s really nice and does a good job. I wanted to get my nails done by her a couple of days ago, but found out that she doesnt work on thursdays. So I told the receptionist to set me up with someone else. I got Hanna who is good, especially with the hand massage. I got the Deluxe pedicure and regular manicure for a total of $ 66(includes designs). Ive been going here for years and will continue to.

Avoid at all costs! Went here the first time and it was mediocre — nothing to write home about. The lady was rough and rushed. She did a good job on the polish so I went back. I was sad that I did. I have very sensitive cuticles and always ask the lady to push and not cut. She said ok and 30 seconds later pulled out the cuticle cutters and started at my cuticles. They were bleeding for the next 2 hours. Needless to say I will never go back.

Used to come here all the time and it was great. Went yesterday and got the worst pedicure EVER. She actually started my pedicure and then, quickly picked up her stuff and said«I have an appointment.» She came back a few minutes later and said, «I’ll just do it because there is no one else here to do it for you.» My pedicure was over in a few minutes… she rushed through it and I mean RUSHED. Too bad for her because I’m the type to pay for all the extras. It was not great and I still need a pedicure. I won’t be back!
