This boutique is is very eclectic with its fashion. They follow as well as put their own creative twist on the latest trends. The prices are reasonable depending on what you’re buying, quality of the clothes you do have to inspect, you may find a tear or rip, or its been overly stretched by who tried it on earlier, the customer service is a hit or miss depending on who is shopping in the store, if there’s a VIP in while you are shopping, good luck with any help except when it’s time to pay. If you’re looking for something different fun and sexy you’ll probably find it.

OMG I LOVE this store!!! The Philthy Ragz owner and her staff are the best! Her clothes are so fashion forward unique and makes you feel super sexy and/​or cute! I love how they all are so helpful there too with helping you choose everything from what looks good for your particular body type to what color looks great on your complexion! I LOVE clothes and fashion and Philthy Ragz is my favorite store to shop in! When I’m there I honestly feel like I’m where all the «it» girls go to shop to look fabulous! Every time I wear a Philthy Ragz dress I get compliments! EVERY time! The owner is so busy (I think because she’s become some what of a celebrity in her own right and everyone seems as if they want to fight for her attention) but she remains so sweet, humble and helpful! I personally don’t know how she does it! Woman can be crazy and very selfish! I once saw a woman give her so much attitude over something that seemed so petty! I felt bad and wished I could remind the woman that it wasn’t her own personal store! Not to mention I highly doubt she would’ve behaved that way if she were in a Nordstrom where the staff didn’t share her same skin color! But the owner handled her (rude) customer with so much grace & humility! I give the entire Phithy Ragz staff kudos for being able to deal with so many different type of woman and personalities that come into their store (both good and BAD) because it’s the hottest boutique to shop in LA truly!

Have always driven by this place. Today I actually stopped and went in. I’m always looking for unique pieces and I certainly found a few here. The employees were sure nice and attentive. I ended up spending way more than I anticipated but I bought a few different «sets». Therefore, in the long run I’ll be able to mix and match different tops and bottoms with other items I already have at home. That alone is well worth the prices. An add bonus is if you buy an article of clothing that is too big or small, they will alter it for you, free. I bought a skirt with a tub top. Skirt was too long and the top a bit loose. Both were altered in a matter of minutes. They get new inventory every week so I will certainly be back!!!

I shopped at this place when it was super tiny and located on Centinela. My friend’s wife suggested going here when I was looking for something ‘different’ in a dress. She knows the owner Gaynelle and mentioned she even alters and/​or tweaks items to fit if need be.
I was impressed by the unique dresses and skirts with gorgeous prints and textiles. I’d always find something that was «one size», which I don’t like. I made a few calls and several appointments with Gaynelle to have dresses and skirts altered. One time, she was a no show. The young lady at the counter called and couldn’t get a response either. If I lived around the corner or nearby, it may not have been a problem. I never had those items made.
Like another Unilocaler mentioned, I don’t play when I shop. I don’t go unless I’m ready to spend money. The dresses on average were about $ 89 and I had 4 and a skirt in my hand during one shopping trip. A few needed to be shortened and one had some loose stitching. Again, I made arrangements meet with Gaynelle. I was asked to come back. Items were held and I made that long drive again! No Gaynelle! No call! No response! Nothing! Yet, the girls behind the counter were so focused on talking to the younger girls pacing around complaining about the unaffordable prices. I laughed! They bought nothing while my $ 400+ sale was lost.
I considered going back, but can’t bring myself to support businesses with poor customer service. Especially when my pockets are right and I’m ready to make a purchase! The name got bigger, shop was moved, and I’ve seen multiple ladies in the same dresses over the past years. Not to mention I follow on Instagram. I never see responses to ladies’ questions. Items posted are rarely available online and too many ladies complain. Sometimes it’s best to stay small and make your money. I wish the best, but they have list out on my hundreds-​of-​dollars in sales.

If you are looking for something sexy, chic, unique and grown then this is the store for you. They know how to make a lady feel sexy, you are sure to stand out and no one would look like you. They can be a bit on the pricey side and the quality of the clothes for the price is not fitting. I find more defects in there clothing then I do at a cheap store like forever 21 or H&M. Inspect your clothes for holes or defects.

I always wanted to stop by and see what this boutique has to offer since I was in the area and need a nice dress to wear. The clothes looked a little too big for me. The owners were nice said they could alter anything if need be. I wanted to try on Jeans but no one could get me a dressing room even though they had 2 workers and 2 owners that were more focused on one lady who had some «status“which idk cause that’s not my thing. I’m a business owner during the day I wear sweats to do bank drops and run errands. Customer service is a must for me. Idc if I was butt naked I had 5 gees in my wallet thats my status and now off to melrose

Pass by this place all the time because the name caught my eye. As soon as I entered, I was greeted immediately. That’s the determining factor on if I spend my money.
Everything I saw was nice including the sale signs-​$ 10,$ 20,% off. One lady asked if I were looking for anything in particular and I tld her about the things I saw online. She went to the back to find it while another got a dressing room ready for me. Nice customer service.
It’s a small store so is be offended if I weren’t taken care of like all the other reviewers. The icing on the cake was when my items were wrapped In paper and placed in a cute bag. I can’t remember the last time my clothes were wrapped. I’ll definitely be back.

Nice shop, however the customer service could have been better. I’d say give it a chance and decide for yourself. They have cute clothing.

This is a review of their online store. Sadly the other reviews on their customer service is pretty spot on. Personally they were friendly to me, but I definitely got the run around. I was looking for a skirt they made that was sold out. My very first email I received a quick response, letting me know that I’m in luck and they’re getting a new shipment in that weekend. They were right and I happily placed my online order. I never received an order confirmation, nor did I receive any type of delivery time. After about a week I tried reaching out to see if someone could update me. A lot of back and forth, a lot of emails and calling. Same run around as everyone else (need to call back to speak to someone else, you’ll receive a confirmation shortly, they are in a staff mtg, etc etc). I even got lucky and the owner answered one of my calls. Everyone was actually very friendly, but lacked in follow through. I eventually received my skirt, which I love, so I’m sad that I know if I order something in the future, that I will more than likely have to wait a long time before I receive it. It’s a shame, cause they have some really cute pieces here.

Unique clothing, unprofessional environment. There is one young lady that always seems to be consistent with her professionalism and has more common sense than the owner. Actually witnessed the owner talking about a customer that did not purchase anything… what adult does that? Whether window shopping or buying everyone is entitled to respect… needless and very sad to say the rumors/​reviews are pretty accurate… don’t waste your time/​energy. There are other african american businesses out there and in that area like… New Style Web, Gaudy Garbs, Hanging Artistry… etc… that has some of the same items for less, great customer service and you actually feel good about your purchase.

I follow this boutique on IG and decided to visit the store. The clothes are different which is hard to find now days living in Los Angeles. HOWEVER, the owner and girl that works at the register is rude. She will remind you of exactly why the black community has a hard time prospering. Not to mention I had something custome made and the day it was suppose to be ready I had to call them they never called me. The girl that answered told me I could pick it up shortly. I arrived and the piece still wasn’t there. Not only did I have to wait but the girl at the front asked me why did I need it today was I going somewhere that day. Regardless of when I needed it I paid for it and was promised a certain day. I can’t deal with ignorance or attitudes when I’m paying my money so I probably won’t be back.

Horrible I will never buy from this place ever again. I bought a item from them decided the color was to dark for me so I wanted to exchange it for the lighter one. Mistake #1. I emailed them my request (as told to by website) surprise surprise no response. So I emailed them again once again no response. So now I decide to call them. I get a girl who tells me I have to talk to the online dept. who now is not there. So I called back the next day I was told they are having a store meeting and will get back to me in 1hr. Well unsurprisingly they never called back. I call again the next day and spoke with Cheyenne who is the online dept. rep. I explained my dilemma, she tells me to send her a pic of the color I ordered. (Face palm) WHY? Shouldn’t you know what products you sell you only have one dark peach skirt! So I proceed to send her the pic, and hey what do you know no response. So I call back again (this is now the 4^th phone call in 4 days). I’m guessing I’m speaking to the owner since no one believes in stating their name when you call. She tells me to send the skirt back and she will give me store credit. Uh no I asked for it to be exchanged for a lighter color. She tells me she doesn’t no if she would be making that color again it’s a hit or miss on if she can find the fabric. WTF! So now I’m out $ 67 after shipping AND you want me to pay for it to get sent back with no refund?! Uh I don’t think so! Philthy ragz needs to get it together! And work on how to run a better business and online dept. For the amount you charge for your clothes you better step the game real high up on customer service. Plus they only give you 7days from when you receive it to send it back and you spend about 6 ½ days trying to get ahold of them.

I follow Philthy Ragz on IG and decided to take a trip to their store since I live in LA. It’s easy to get to and there’s parking which is a plus. I saw a lot of things that I liked that were modeled on IG and the prices are reasonable too. The owner seemed to be nice and helpful to customers and there was a gentleman there helping customers also who seemed nice. I bought some things and I have friends from out of town that like the clothing too so a repeat trip is definitely in my future. The downfall is the cashiers, who don’t have the most pleasant disposition and crammed my gear into a tight gift bag. The store sells tees with the company name and I think it would be a nice touch to get decent shopping bags too.

I’ve always wanted to check out the boutique Philthy Ragz. I finally decided to check it out when I was in need of a nice jumper for a birthday party.
I was instantly greeted and provided with a sales associate to show me around. All of the pieces were unique and different. Prices are a little on the «high» side, but I guess that’s the price to pay for «different».
Clothes are «one size». I was happy to make the cut. The sales associate informed me that any item could be complementary tailored to fit your needs… to make more or less risqué, etc.
Due to my conservative nature, I didn’t purchase anything, but I was happy to see what all it had to offer.

Philthy Ragz clothes are OK. They have a «few» really cute items and the rest of the clothes you can find at any girl clothing store or Delamo swaptmeet. Also i notice many of their items is one size fit all so if you are small like myself you will not like how some of the dresses fit.
***The one thing that really brother me about this store is the male worker who is acting like he is gay and peeking in the dressing rm asking the female customers if they need help or to let him see how they look in the item that they are trying on.****

Do not shop here… The worse customer service ever. These people have no idea of the meaning customer service. I emailed an associate in order for her to forward to the owner in order to get a dress made 2 months before needed and no response from anyone. They have no website and apparently have NO CLUE of what Unilocal is or who put them on Unilocal at all. Do not shop here… HORRIBLE

This place is amazing! I have been coming here regularly for the last few years. The owners, Gaynelle and Dave (a husband and wife team) are some the warmest people I know and Gaynelle’s spirit is amazing! The store has cute, eclectic boutique finds that won’t break your wallet and TONS of original designs… that even Hollywood is getting hip to ;o) A nice chunk of my closet is filled with Philthy Ragz finds and each piece receives more compliments than the last.
Gaynelle and Dave never pressure you to buy and allow you to move freely, as they’re big on allowing women to develop and love their own unique style, but if you’re lost honey they will guide you! For any occasion, Gaynelle can help you put together an entire look or give you that finishing touch that’ll put the POW in your look. They have the ability to make each and very guest feel like family with the personal attention they give and it’s hard to walk out of that place without a new friend or two.
Finally, her fashion shows, sip n’ shops and other events are always off the chain! I honestly don’t know how she does it! Between making half of the clothing in the store HERSELF, making herself available to her clients and putting these events together…*whew* I’m just tired thinking about it! Simply amazing.

Love Love Love this place! It is my go to shopping for unique trendy pieces that really help me express myself through Fashion. I love the individual attention I get when I go in there and really the pieces are one of the kind. So ladies if you want to get something that will be a timeless staple in your closet please stop by and pick something «philthy» up!

If you haven’t visited this jewel of a boutique, you are truly missing out… The selection of clothing and accessories is top-​notch… from funky and eclectic to daring and dramatic and everything in between… The custom designs are creative, innovative and original. The customer service is the greatest! Gaynelle and Dave encourage you to think outside of the box and release whatever’s fighting to get out :-) and they never steer you wrong. The atmosphere is so cool that you walk in a customer but you walk out feeling like family! Treat yourself to a visit!

I visited this place not too long ago, in search of an off the shoulder shirt for a little outting I was going on. All in all, they have cute, creative clothes here HOWEVER, it is way too small and I kind of felt pressured into buying something, which is when I had to use the famous,“I’m gonna try this other place I know and if they don’t have it, I will be back”…
Oh yea… the parking sucks!!!
