One word: Ew. Hideous establishment with terrible food. I’m embarrassed for them.

Ordered the carne asada street tacos. I’m paying for it. My stomach feels terrible. Why did I decide to try a different place? I should have just gone to Jalapenos.

This place used to be pretty decent. Something has definitely changed. If you bought a Groupon to use here don’t bother. They don’t honor them. Something about their contract with Groupon expiring. So that was annoying. The soft tacos are ok. The nachos had no cheese. Like at all. The menu says they come with cheese and generally one expects cheese when one prefers nachos and yet, this place didn’t put cheese on my nachos. The beans were also lacking. A lot of bean«juice» for lack of a better term, but very few actual beans. The salsa bar is pretty good. Lots of options. I really love me their regular salsa and the green one is pretty good too. Nothing special though. Service is pathetic. It’s kinda dirty. Probably not coming back here. Especially since Jalapeños is in the same shopping center.

The food was ok… ehhh. I guess. Me and a buddy went there and both ordered the same thing(separate orders) and somehow he paid $ 2 more than me… I wasnt complaining… lol He was upset though. The cashier was on her phone texting or browsing the whole time while we waited. Then we noticed that they had happy hour specials… and we were there during that time but we weren’t given the happy hour discounts. At this point I had to bring it up. She didnt know what to do. I told her she could just give me back the difference. Long story short, they were out of change to make it the correct amount so she shorted me by $.03. Not that I care about $.03 but why am I taking the hit because you did your job wrong. Get off your phone…

I agree with Michael C.‘s review. Food okay, not great and the place could use a thorough cleaning and update(replace missing and dirty/broken baseboards). We had a Groupon(seems like almost every reviewer had discount of some sort) so value was good. My teenage and pre-teens sons ate their entire meals(carnitas burrito, chicken taquitos & Al pastor soft tacos). I had veggie burrito which was rice, beans and cheese with maybe five pieces of grilled bell pepper in it. But wouldn’t really expect a decent veggie entrée at a small, independent taco shop — you go there for a cheap meal with meat, beans and rice. Salsas were tasty and salsa verde had good heat.

I love this place. They have taco Wednesday, but every day has great deals. They have a salsa extremely hot… And it is. Most places wouldn’t dare make a salsa so hot your beer would make it hotter. The food is fresh and fast. They sell IPA beer so that’s a plus for me. Inexpensive, fresh, fast, quality food. No complaints… It’s my go to after work quick stop for real food that is healthier than a burger and fries. Salsa 5stars, food well 4 stars, service… The guy isn’t mr personality, but he’s remembers his patrons and he gets the order correct, and gave us a complimentary quesadilla… the place is good. Try it out.

Rude as Rude gets! The Gentleman behind the counter was RUDE! My wife walked away and he had to take a look at her azz! The food was awful and the dining area was filthy, I didn’t feel like I was in Ladera Ranch. No value. Paid 23xx and got three dollars worth of food! Never again! See attached Pictures

We had lunch here and the place was okay. The building needs some TLC(paint and cleaning), but it was not over the top dirty. The food was okay — not great. I had a chicken and black been burrito and thought it was good. All the favors worked. My wife had the fish tacos and that was a failure. The flavor of the fish was way off. It might be the marinade. The salsa bar was stocked and the flavors were average to better than average. Service was great and attentive. Not a bad place and the food is okay but not special. The place could be updated and cleaner.

Food is good but the place needs a makeover. The Food is pretty much average Mexican-American…nothing I’d go out of my way for. The interior is a bit ragged and outdated. I have to say Celinda’s is much better food. The service was good.

NOTHINGSPECIAL. My father and I ate here on 07÷15÷15 on a Groupon. We both ordered combination plates. Our food was prepared and delivered rather quickly, which was nice. The quality and value of the food is questionable. The tacos were small. The hot salsa bin in the salsa bar was almost empty. The rice and beans that accompanied our meals were ok, but nothing special. There were no napkin dispensers on the tables. I had to find napkins and plastic utensils in the hallway towards the back of the restaurant, near the restroom. This gave me the impression they don’t care about customer convenience.
It wasn’t a horrible experience, but I’ve had better. I probably won’t be back. Sorry.

Very deserving of a one star review. The floors, walls, and counters are dirty. Makes me wonder how the kitchen is. We came here on a Groupon and when we ordered we were told that drinks where excluded… It didn’t say that in the fine print anywhere. Also, beware that the«fresh fruit» in the kids menus is actually packaged orange fruit cups. Lastly, no free chips. Overall very disappointing.

Ordered burritos there today with my son. We felt sick to our stomach most of the afternoon. Food has a greasy weird flavor. Used Groupon voucher, but will not be returning in the future.

Better than the Irvine location, but still misses the mark! I ordered California burritos and taquitos for take out. The taquitos were very disappointing and flavorless. The California burrito was decent, but the outside of the burrito was doughy so my husband and I had to cook them in the oven when we got home. The whole point of getting takeout is so that you don’t have to cook! Though the food was mediocre, their salsas were pretty tasty, however, salsa alone isn’t enough to get me to go back!

My hidden gem in Ladera Ranch for terrific cantinas tacos at a value price point is TacoCo. They offer fabulous happy hour prices and I believe the window for happy hour is 3:30– 6:00. The guacamole is a real treat and my girls love their bean and cheese burritos. I delighted TacoCo is located in Ladera Ranch :-)

Bad experience here :(Bought the Groupon which didn’t state an alcohol restriction, but then didn’t let us buy beers with our coupon. The food wasn’t hot and didn’t have flavor, and the service was mediocre. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place! With so many good Mexican places in SoCal, this is one to pass on!

I was pleasantly surprised by this seemingly no-frills taco joint. Their happy hour is something you should try; perhaps not for a romantic date, but definitely a good pre-game spot for good prices on food and beer before going next door to the Ranch for the game, where you’ll be paying FULL price for underwhelming food. It’s no-frills, so adjust your expectations and go give it a try. It’ll fix the craving for Mexican, because there’s three other Mexican places in town that are far more expensive and fail to impress.

This place is great. The staff was friendly and courteous. $ 1.00 Taco Tuesday… FTW! Get the al pastor taco, you won’t be disappointed. My only gripe is not with the staff but with some of their patrons. Leaving a messy table for the workers to clean up. The least a customer can do for having someone clean up after them is leave a tip. These kids work pretty hard, let’s help them out a little bit. Anyways, I’ll be back again… For sure.

Really great, no frills food. Fresh, clean with great menu, salsas and combinations. Taco night is Wednesday. $ 1.25 tacos. I like to mix and match. Pastor, chicken, shrimp… you won’t be disappointed. Serves beer too.
