It takes a lot of money to enjoy the fair and it’s really not that amazing compared to the only other fair I’ve been to(which I won’t mention). Pretty much everything here is brought in on trucks… the same trucks that go to every other fair. It’s a nice setting around a little lake that is entirely hidden by vendors and they do have a decent main stage. There’s no reason to not go if you want to go to a fair. But, there’s really nothing unique to draw you here either.

I love this place. We went on a rainy day and we loved it. All the rides were closed but the food joints were open and Old Dominion was playing and the rodeo did not disappoint. Really love going every year for the food and exhibits. And the light crowd was just right for our mission. John the Greek’s Gyro, a corn dog, and an elephant ear! See you in 2016 Coastal Carolina Fair!

Pretty good. The strawberry festival in Florida is better. Though I Def liked the sky ride. I didn’t like how rude they were when it was closing time. We had just ordered food and they made us leave. Why would you sell food and immediately make people leave. Couldn’t even sit down for 5 minutes to enjoy it…

the rides are much better than before. I have not been to the fair in over 25 years. what I love and never knew before is that the majority of the proceeds from this fair by the exchange club are put right back in to charities in the community! So the next time you complain about the ticket and rides cost, think about that! Now the food vendors on the other hand I cant attest to if they keep all profits themselves or pay to be there and their OUTRAGEOUS prices are to cover a huge overhead or not. but I think it ludicrous that everything is around $ 8 – 9 for ONE item. people may say– but its«fair» food, well most of those you can get down the street at 1⁄3 the cost. or make it at home. I am not a fan of eating fried cookies, alien sponge cake(aka Twinkies) or fried candy bars. if you notice on most of those food trucks the exact same batter is used on EVERYTHING they offer fried, and most likely the fryers are separate either, so have an allergy– you may end up sick. the live music selections have gone down in the present time, but hey at least there is some. There is fun for the whole family, so next time they come back(every year around Halloween) you should venture out. Weekends are crowded, as are night visits. so play ahead go early and stay all day.

This fair was GREAT! Lots of rides lots of games. Depending on how much you ride it can be a little pricey. Great for a family day out. I was surprised to not spend most of the day waiting in lines. Fair food is fast and greasy but very GOOD!

The Carolina Coastal Fair is simply THE fair! I’ve been to several state fairs in other states and let me tell you, The CCF’s got it going on! This fair is HUGE! I’m pretty sure there’s at least two of every ride, except that they are called different names and painted differently. You could literally spend days inside this place. With plenty of the good ol’ carnie food to survive on. Roasted corn, elephant ears, giant gyros, pizza, fries and COTTONCANDY! Sweet sweet delicious fluffy sugar on a stick. There are a ton of shows, musicians, performers and the hypnotist was So much to watch. The 4-H-ers craft displays and prize animals were all around the grounds indoors. There were tons of vendors for all kinds of crazy stuff and I ahve to admit I was pretty much knocked out by the one of the massage chairs. Tons of family fun, tons of guilty yummies and just so much ground to cover, so get ready to spend hours wandering around the CCF.

I’m a fan because I love any Fair. However I’m not a fan that the Coastal Carolina Fair only lasts 9 days. Back home in Phoenix Az the fair lasts 3 weeks! ;)

The fair brings back memories of amazing fried foods, some of the best people watching around, the farm exhibit, the great plant show, and some pretty good musical acts. I’ve seen Chairmen of the Board, Charlie Daniels, and Lady Antebellum, just to name a few. Admission is around $ 8, but it’s worth it. It’s not to be missed when it’s in town.
