Worst Sicilian Pizza I have ever had. Noticed my stomach started hurting me each time I ate a slice. I was also overcharged for my food to make matters worse. Should have figured something was wrong when I didn’t see their health grade anywhere while I was waiting on my takeout order.

Welcome to NY Italian people. I saw a review that slammed Vinny about attitude. If you want good food you may have to deal with some smart ass remarks trust me. It is not personal, Its NY Italian. The food is great and if you kid with Vinny he will lighten up. Of you can go to imitation Italian places and get smiles and bad food. I’m Italian and from NJ so I understand Vinny. Try the Sicilian pizza with sausage and mushrooms and you for get Vinny’s quirks. He is really a great guy.

Ordered food here after seeing all the good reviews and I wish I would have saved my money for a better business. I ordered takeout– a large cheese pizza, two orders of fries, and garlic knots. The wait time wasn’t terrible– 20 minutes for a Wednesday afternoon. After paying for my food I was handed the pizza and a brown paper bag, which I assumed had the fries and garlic knots. I should have checked to make sure everything was in the bag prior to leaving, but I didn’t. A mile down the road I looked and noticed the garlic knots were not in the bag, so I turned around to go back to the restaurant. As soon as I walked in the door the man working, who I’m assuming is the owner based on other reviews, said«oh what’d you forget?» in an extremely smartass manner. I proceeded to tell him he forgot to give me my garlic knots, followed by him trying to tell me I didn’t order them. After arguing about whether or not I actually ordered garlic knots he finally looked through the receipts and saw that I did pay for them. So finally, after all of that he made the garlic knots and as he handed them to me decided to throw in one more smartass comment and said«next time make sure you check your order before leaving.» Not once did he apologize for the mistake or offer any sort of sympathy. As far as the food goes, the fries were just ok and the garlic knots were really nothing special, but the pizza was definitely good. Unfortunately, I just can’t see myself supporting this business again. I can overlook the mistake, especially since it was partially my fault for failing to check the order. However, I cannot overlook the terrible customer service. I would rather take my business to a place that cares about their customers.

Best Sicilian pizza I have had in a long time. The banzini was amazing and Trish was a sweetheart. When I come back to Charleston, this will be the first place I come to.

My aunt just invited me to try these pizzas because she said it’s the closest thing to ny, it’s like being in little italy. I had to see for myself. The pizza is so good, i’m even eating the crust! Since i moved to sc, i became an ‘eat the triangle, throw away the crust type’. She ordered medium size pizza and didn’t even make any requests like«super thin or extra crispy» so we could see what their natural style is — and it turned out artfully thin and crispy just like a pizza should be. And I have to add– the white pizza is a real garlicky mozz and ricotta made pizza, with globs of yummy ricotta, which i have never seen done outside of ny.

1st of i would like to say, this place has the best Italian food. We went there for late lunch the only thing we saw were boxes n boxes of pizza box getting ready dinner I supposed. We sat near the widow and the sun was shinning right in. One of the chef came out and covered it for us using a pizza box. We ordered garlic knots(to die for and i dun usually eat bread), clams in white sauce, pizzas and I had gnocchi with clams. Those clams in the sauce was superb. Pizza was filled with ingredients and my gnocchi was excellent. After an awesome meal, another chef came out and gave the 2 children popsicles and asked how everything was. Being a person who doesn’t eat much Italian food. This place deserves 5* for both service and food.

We went out for a late lunch with some friends and decided to try this place as recommended by a buddy of mine. They are located in a strip mall, along with a Food Lion next door. When we walked in at around 2:15pm, we were the only table in the entire establishment. Kinda surprised, but we saw many to go orders go out while we were eating. The place was kind of dated and could use a little upgrade as shown by they tables, chairs, plates and even décor. The neat looking statue right next to our table was next to an empty fish tank. The drinks were very reasonable at $ 1.95 each, which included unlimited refills. They have Pepsi products, sweet tea and other drinks. We started with two appetizers, an order of Garlic Knots $ 3.95 and an order of «Zuppa Di Clams» in white sauce $ 9.95. The garlic knots are to die for! They were perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned with garlic and herbs, and tasted delicious with their homemade marinara sauce. The clams in white sauce were also quite tasty and was enough for our party of 6(2 small kids) to share. It had really authentic Italian flavors and went well with plain bread. After being spoiled with great apps, it was time for our main course. We ordered two pizzas; a X-large«The Works» $ 21.99(includes sausage, pepperoni, onions & mushrooms) and a medium New York style cheese pizza with olives $ 11.74. Both pizzas were great and huge. For the works, I liked the way they did the sausage small crumbles versus small meatballs. The sauce tasted homemade and went well with the New York style pizzas. The cheese pizza with olives however didn’t have much olives, but was quite tasty as well. My friend’s wife ordered the«Linguini with Clams» I’m white sauce $ 14.95 and substituted gnocchi for the linguini pasta, which was an extra $ 4.95. She said it was very good and had leftovers for a meal later. At the end, we had a lot of leftovers and were full from the great meal. The total was $ 78 and with tip, around $ 90. I forgot to mention the service, it was great. The waitress kept coming back and asking if everything is ok. An employee came and covered the windows as the sun was shining right at us. At the end, the owner came by before we left and asked if we liked everything. He came back shortly and gave our kids Popsicles, which they loved. We would come back and get their pizzas, garlic knots, and even try their lunch specials one day. If you given them a try, highly recommended.

Very good but don’t expect your pizza to be ready in 20 minutes on a Saturday at lunch time. Even if you spend $ 100.

New York, Italian pizza in Summerville, South Carolina. The accents of the owners/chefs is the real deal. Have never ordered anything but pizza, but why would we?! The pepperoni is classic, huge, perfectly greasy and delicious. Our kids are fans of the bbq chicken pizza which these guys do well. The prices are on par with other pizza joints in the Summerville area. It’s worth a little more to get a slice or two at Kings.

Bad wings good pizza. Ordered«hot» wings — they arrived as plain fried chicken with no sauce on them at all — dry — there was however a thin layer of hot sauce in the bottom of the container only on one side of the four wings on the bottom. They were large as promised vs the niblets you get at BWE or Hoots. However, the pizza was very good and delivered as promised. Would do the pizza again but not the wings.

By far the BEST Pizza in the Summerville/Ladson area!!! These guys are from N. Jersey and they know how to make pizza, along with all the other things you would expect form an Italian Rest. I even had a Rice Ball in there once! Very nice, friendly place. Always busy, especially on the weekend nights.(Get there early)

Every time I have been here I have loved it. Great, authentic Italian cuisine with lots of delicious cheese. Not the best if your watching your weight, but if your focusing on your tastebuds its a winner! Try the stuffed shells or mushroom chicken ravioli with vodka sauce!

This review is long overdue as we’ve been frequenting King’s Pizza for quite some time now. This place has become a family favorite for us. We’ve never had a bad meal here. The owners and staff have always been friendly and generous to us, and have always been very welcoming with our children, even sometimes giving them little toys or flavored ice. The atmosphere is homey, and is seat-yourself style. I absolutely love the calzones, and the pasta always pleases. The pizzas have never disappointed, either. My wife often gets the eggplant parmesan, but I like to mix it up with calzones, pizza, wings, spaghetti, veal parm, and chicken parm. The kids usually have a medium cheese pizza. I confess I’ve never tried the subs or salads. There are a few minor things I would like to see, though: real glass plates and steak-style serrated knives. It’s difficult to cut pizza up for a toddler with a butterknife on a lightweight plastic plate that moves around whilst trying to cut. Also, consistently having drinks to-hand that are more kid-pleasing, like fruit punch, juice, or even some milk. Oh, and pint glasses for the beer. :) My suggestions are minor, though, and won’t keep us away. As the kids say when we tell them where we’re going, «Yay! We’re going to King’s Pizza!»

I would really like to give this little place more stars, but after two visits, I can say that I am not the least bit impressed. On my first visit it was lunchtime and I had the«Greek Salad» which was the worst salad I think I have ever tried to eat. It was TERRIBLE! Who, in their right mind, puts boiled egg in a Greek salad? And for the record, Greek Salad come with GREEKSALADDRESSING(not a choice of one of their lousy pre-made dressings)! On my second visit I ordered a pizza to go. It was better than the salad, but that’s not saying much. As far as pizza goes, for Ladson it was as good as you are gonna get, which I have already mentioned is not saying much. It was just your average Charlestonian version of New York Style Pizza-nothing to right your mom in the Bronx about though! I wish I could recommend this place, but as a professional chef myself, I cannot in good faith say I’d come here again, or send anyone I knew here for a meal. As a matter of fact; I would not send my worst enemy’s dog there for food-in-name-only.
