History

Established in 1987.

In 1987, Scott McCarrel was a remodeling contractor and saw the need for a cabinet company specializing in making and installing cabinets for the garage. He started the first garage company in the Bay Area. In those early years most installations consisted of a workbench and a few storage cabinets in an unfinished garage.

Since that time Garage Storage Systems has evolved into a «full service» company specializing in complete garage makeovers. From new electrical, lighting, sinks, granite counter tops, sheet rock installation, painting, epoxy floor installation, garage doors as well as professionally installed garage cabinets.

Scott epoxied our garage floor, built cabinets in our garage, office and closets. He was fast, didn’t leave a mess and everything turned out so fantastic! We couldn’t be more pleased with everything! Scott pays attention to every detail and went out of his way to finish the job in record time.

I was very excited at first to hire a professional to apply epoxy on my garage. Scott assured me that it will look nice, it will be the best and it will have 10 year warranty.
after it was done there was a few spot that bubbled up and the surface was not smooth, they came back twice to fix it but each time they just sand a little, put some epoxy and brushed some oil and the bubbles came back, now they are even more area where it is starting to show damage in less than one month!
Personally, I will not use them again and I wont recommend.

Garage Storage Systems, and Scott and Chris, did an above excellent job on the new epoxy flooring they put on our garage floor.
We are extremely happy with the quality of the work itself, as well as the professionalism of the company. Everything was done on schedule, the people doing the work arrived when they said they would, and the work was done efficiently and well. We could not be happier with the quality of service, the quality of the flooring, and the price for the work.
We have an older house (1970’s), and we have done a lot of work through contractors in the house. Of all the contractors we have worked with thus far, Garage Storage Systems was, without a doubt, the best. They delivered what they promised, and there were no unexpected surprises at all.
