Homewood Suites by Hilton Lafayette

Homewood Suites, is one of my favorite places to stay, when I’m away. The staff is great! Professional, friendly, courteous, appeasing, and personable. The suites are impeccable, very clean, tvs are a good size, plenty of channels, pool is great, and my husband LOVED the grills outside! Can’t wait til our next visit!

We had to leave our home for a week during renovations and decided on the Homewood Suites for our temporary home. It was my husband, myself, and our son who uses a wheelchair. Their two bedroom suite worked perfectly for our needs and I cannot praise the staff of HS enough for going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and comforting. From the front desk cheery personnel to our fabulous housekeeper Laura, everyone was fabulous. Thank you Lonnette and Karen for a great refuge from dust and noise. I will be back for a great nights sleep if I need one in the future!

Becareful, they have a 30 day cancellation policy on Prudue football weekends that is not listed on any documentation when you book online. I booked online as a Hilton honors member and had to speak to the manager, Miss Karen Cooper to cancel and she was less than pleasant to say the least.
I called 72 hours in advance of my intended stay, more than ample time to resell the room on a busy weekend, and they still told me they were going to charge me the full price for the room.
In the end, she did not charge me, but a total hassle

Great value. Stayed here to break up a late night drive from Cincinnati to Waukegan. Hotel is gorgeous and competitively priced. My room is gorgeously appointed and spacious. (But the loud heater and air conditioner is located near the bed. Bring the ear plugs.) Wi-​FI was fast, and the front desk staff was professional and kind.
When I price out these types of hotels, I strongly consider the time and costs savings of the included breakfast. Breakfast setup is a little confusing so it slows down patrons. There are only two rather small plate racks set up, and not surprisingly there was a wait for plates. Breakfast was inconsistent in quality. Apple crepes and fresh fruit were great! Scrambled eggs with meat were gray, so I didn’t taste them. Potatoes were freezer burnt. Two women busing tables. One was friendly, sweet and efficient. The other woman wore a scowl and kept sighing when near a guest. Very weird.
I would consider staying again if it was much cheaper than the others in the area.
Luckily, there are many other restaurants nearby, and each hotel room has a full kitchen and there is a Walmart close by. So you could enjoy the large comfortable room and the lovely outdoor seating areas, including an outdoor pool and small sun de k, basketball court, etc., without suffering through the food service.

In town for business, and had a great stay. Corporate rate made it affordable and the staff was excellent and very helpful. Breakfast/​dinner were good and rooms were spacious and comfortable. Would be happy to stay here in the future if possible.

Really nice suites hotel. Rooms are very comfortable with a TV in both the living room and bedroom. Kitchen is stocked with a few pots and pans and dishes, stove, and refrigerator. Hotel serves breakfast and dinner, has an outdoor pool and basketball court. Great staff and a warm and relaxing place to stay!

We booked here since it was the highest rated place in town. You get what you pay for right? Not always. This place had limited parking and with a newborn and the luggage he needs that’s key. The room layout was nice however the place needs a deep clean (I know I’m picky especially since I have an infant). There was dirt behind the night stand and bed.

Stayed at this hotel for 6 days. Fantastic. The staff was superb. The rooms cleaned well every day. The food service outstanding. This is what I’ve come to expect in Homewood. It seems to be a bit of an older hotel since it is the first Homewood I’ve been in that each room has outside access. But the hotel feels secure and homey. The food service staff was fabulous. Like they really cared that your stay was good. I will stay here next time in town for sure.

We stayed here on the weekend. The breakfast does not start until 7 am. We are early risers and had places to go. Most places I stay start the breakfast at 6. The Hampton is next door. Save yourself 20 – 40 a night and stay there.

I found the staff at this hotel to be very friendly and accommodating. The included breakfast was excellent. The evening meal was something the whole family liked. The kids made great use of the outdoor pool in the evening. Good hotel if you need room for a family. Kitchen with range, microwave, full refrigerator and freezer, dishwasher (with soap) and dishes and utensils available. An item for improvement: the door and frame showed signs of previous forced entry with security plates installed after the fact. This was a bit disconcerting considering this was a room next to the lobby building.

Our room was great! There is a kitchen, living room, bedroom, and bathroom with a separate tub/​toilet and sink area.
There is only an outside pool which was closed in April but if you ask nicely the Hampton next door will let you use their indoor pool.
The hotel was undergoing renovations and I wish someone had told me that in one of the four conversations I had when making reservations. This meant the breakfast service was limited and the lobby was a mess. Oh well.
This is a good choice if you want the kitchen for snacking and spreading out.

Well maintained hotel; clean rooms; very good air conditioning. Internet access is fair, as I find with all hotel that offer free internet. Not much bandwidth, so I used my Verizon Wireless card to get things moving.
