Worst bank I have ever dealt with! Our local bank, Lafayette Savings Bank, merged with Old National last winter. I decided to give it a chance after many mix ups right after the merger and have now decided to change banks. Takes forever to talk with a real person on the phone. They keep the local branch phone numbers a secret so you have to sit on the phone and hope it’s answered within the ½ hour. They hang on to your money when it’s deposited for what seems like forever. Maybe we were spoiled by the previous bank, it was local and a gem. The employees seem to be on a learning curve with the customers. Something happens, they learn with you what the solution is, and the solution never makes sense. AVOIDATALLCOSTS!

My checking account was compromised and the bank charged me $ 38 plus $ 8/day until I was able to cover the overdraft. I closed my account!

Absolutely terrible. They extract every possible fee — they charge withdrawals before crediting deposits made the same day, slow down transfers to create late online payments, charge fees for balances below 750, and on and on. They bought out our local bank and immediately started charging fees on everything. ATM fees, check fees, etc. Made it hard to transfer our account to a good local bank as well, so do yourself a favor and don’t let them get hold of your cash in the first place.
