Rock Band School, Beatboxing & Barbershop technique, fierce violin with your eyes closed, rhythm piano, percussion that gets people out of their seats, singing that inspires revolution and causes animals and butterflies to spontaneously gather at the feet of the singer. A refreshing, musical arts education studio in the Lafayette area has arrived!
Studio L opened its doors back in the Summer/​Fall transition with its official grand opening January 30, 2011. Home to a variety of learning methodologies and instruments, the common thread throughout the studios is the necessary core of feeling the music while learning technique and music theory!
Current studios include:
Rhythm Lounge Studios — PIANO — with Lorraine Williams. Simply Music method of learning piano brings the student beyond scale drills and into the often forgotten area of connecting those notes with keyboard touch and rhythm. (She’s also a killer singer in her own right!)
Leslie Noël Studios — VOCAL — This well known performer, director, producer brings vocal and theatrical forte to the learning experience. Her local productions have brought youth musical theater performance to a higher level and has inspired a certain bug to study voice.
Kris Olson Studios — VIOLIN — Suzuki instruction from a joyful violinist with 35 years of patient, teaching experience. Parent education & involvement, home listening practice support (I did this back in the days of the turntable), technique in context of pieces, private or group lessons, solo and ensemble recitals…

Steve Sage Studios — GUITAR — He’s that performer you see onstage that stands out for the personality he brings to his music. Anina Yoga Studio — YOGA — To help keep those musician /​performers centered, grounded and physically in tune with themselves!
