At The Body Bar, we offer a holistic approach to bodywork, customizing massage for all people seeking to enhance and improve their overall health and well-​being. We use massage therapy in combination with aromatherapy in a relaxing and beautiful setting to help clients with stress management, pain relief, neuromuscular function, energy flow, overall health maintenance, and with reconnecting the body, mind, and spirit. We provide many types of massage — from Swedish relaxation to therapeutic deep tissue to hot stone to prenatal massage — and we customize your massage to meet YOUR individual needs.

History

Established in 2008.

Catherine DeGraaf and Gina Venturini opened The Body Bar in 2008 to meet the need for a better massage experience in Lafayette. We chose a beautiful location that is central to Boulder, Louisville, Longmont, and Erie, as well as Lafayette, with an aim to make The Body Bar a true destination massage. Our office space is warm, open, and inviting, and allows our clients the room to relax and to heal. And our policies for true «table time» (where a 60-​minute massage means you actually get 60 minutes of bodywork) and not rushing you into or out of our office make you a valued client, not just another number. Your massage at The Body Bar is unique, just like you.

Catherine is actually just one of the owners of The Body Bar; Gina is the other. :o)

Catherine and Gina graduated with honors from the Boulder College of Massage Therapy (BCMT) in Boulder, Colorado. BCMT is one of the top massage therapy schools in the nation; when we graduated, BCMT offered more than 1000 hours of intensive curriculum and hands-​on training.
