I agree 100% with Melanie F. comment below Dr. Wai Yeung was my doctor for more than 20 years, because I did not know better and I had a lot of tolerance. He was probably a competent doctor but his attitude sucks and you do not want to ask him what you heard from the internet for advice because that would be considered a challenge to his medical authority, but again I tolerated for all these years. About 2 – 3 years ago, I had an unpleasant encounter, again, with his rude staff and I was mad enough to switch to a different doctor in Walnut Creek, and what was a pleasant surprise. The new doctor was very friendly, great bedside manner, he would listen and I would be able to bring up anything for healthy discussions without being scolded. Best of all, I was surprised to receive copies of complete blood test results which I would be able to decipher and track. For the 20 plus years under Dr. Yeung, I only saw his hand written notes of few items from the reports. I was never shown the actual reports and thought I was not supposed to see them. I am so very happy that I finally made the switch after so many years.

Nice Dr, tries to fix things naturally first vs prescribing off the bat. Tries to find the root of the problem, more hollistic approach.

Dr. Wai Yeung is a very caring and thorough doctor. Unlike many doctors, he does not rush his patients out of appointments or try to fit them into 15 minute slots. He will also go the extra mile when needed and call doctors or specialists in his network to get his patients an appointment quicker than they could on their own. I have consistently been impressed with his level of care. Highly recommend. The Nurse Practitioner in his office is also top notch!

This doctor SUCKS. I’ve been meaning to change for a while but got busy and it did not become a priority. I went to him the first time in 2012 when I had a very bad allergic reaction to an antibiotic — he prescribed prednisone and nothing else. I should mention the outbreak is on my face, it’s painful and itchy. Recently I was hospitalized for pneumonia and the hospital prescribed a different antiobiotic from a different family they said. But I had the same very bad allergic reaction again. I went to Dr. Wai and again he prescribed a very heavy dose of prednisone. I asked him if there was anything I could do for the itching and he said«Vaseline». I go to my pharmisct today and she tells me that 1. the two antibiotics ARE related. 2. I should take benadryl as well.3.they should have given me a shot of benadryl.4. they make a benadryl crème and 5… this one is the kicker. I can use a steroid crème that I ALREADY have a prescription from the SAME doc. If you go see the doc specifically be prepared for at least an hour and a half. He often forgets things and asks again. Also the instructions for how much dosage on the prednisone is written down different from what he instructed me to do. He has a terrible bedside manner, and doesn’t give good answers to specific questions. I’m out of there asap! His physicians assistants are pretty good but STAY away from this doctor!
