Sleepy Hollow Medical Group

I have had no luck with this practice at all. I have gone for multiple tests and not given answers and pushed out the door for other patients. Please take your health needs somewhere else, they have been no help, and the doctors cut you off and don’t let you explain in detail. I have detailed written lists to give the doctors so they have all the information, and been told there is nothing wrong. Worst practice that I have ever gone to… If you value your health please go elsewhere because this practice is not about helping people, it’s more about getting people in and out, which is ironically funny that they have no patients there, and you can walk in and be seen within a couple minutes. This says something about the quality of care from this practice!

My husband threw his back out and had severe sciatica pain — so severe he hadn’t slept in three days! He could barely sit (had to stay horizontal to minimize pain). I finally convinced him to go to the doctor, but it had to be close and somewhere he didn’t have to wait long. We’re only 5 minutes from Sleepy Hollow, so we decided to give it a try. SO glad we did! We got in right away, and Dr. Moss was amazing. Very thorough in his examination, and a had a great sense of humor, which lightened my husband’s mood. He gave us some recommendations & prescriptions and we were on our way. The meds have really helped and my husband is on the mend! So great to know Sleepy Hollow & Dr. Moss is close by!

Eek! Methinks not is an understatement.
While the receptionist/​nurse was friendly and quick, that was about the only thing that was a positive.
The doctor looked as though he just rolled out of bed, his hair looked like bed head, his 5 ‘o clock shadow looked as though I had interrupted his hangover.
When I was trying to provide the doctor some backstory as to what I thought may be a cause for the symptoms prior to listing all of the symptoms he abruptly cut me off and asked «but what are your symptoms». I had only been talking for all of 10 – 15 seconds, sorry that I was not quick enough for you doc… he looked in my ears then my eyes and that was it.
He then said I was fine. I said it is normal to have dizzy spells for 2 years and my ears are bothering me… he said yes if the dizziness lasted for 2 years it is not causing you any harm. REALLY?! It seems to be making me feel horrible… does that not count for anything?
He then as a consolation prize provided me with a prescription with no remedy to the root cause and what I can do… the prescription side effect is drowsiness, which was a really smart prescription seeing as how I have to drive after flying… good going doc.
Unfriendly, abrupt, and no bed side manner, no health expert, and certainly is not about remedying anyone’s problem only giving out prescriptions… how can you be a health care expert, when you are only a prescription issuer.

My fiancé kept putting off going to the doctor for what he thought was a hernia, until the pain and discomfort became too much to bear. I had made a appointments with another doctor for initial visits for both my fiancé and myself, but the earliest appointment they had was 5 days away. I couldn’t stand to see my sweetheart in pain any longer. We walked in to Sleepy Hollow Medical Group at 11;30 on a Thursday morning, and there was no one in the waiting room. Dr. Moss saw him right away. In 15 minutes we were out the door, with a referral to a surgeon for the hernia, a referral to an opthalmalogist for another concern, a prescription for an anti-​inflammatory medication, and recommendations for intermediate care. Both the doctor and the staff were very friendly and relaxed. Technically, it is an urgent care clinic, but there was none of the usual crowdedness or clinical vibe. They are open 7 days a week, and the receptionist said that Dr. Moss is there a couple of times a week, but that we’d like Dr. Anderson just as well.
I would highly recommend this office to anyone seeking urgent care or a primary physician.
We’re cancelling the appointments at that other office — we’ll stick with Dr. Moss, Dr. Anderson, and Sleepy Hollow Medical Group.

An urgent care visit for my 16 y/​old daughter with a persistent bad cough. We stay at the Surf and Sand every Christmas and the concierge recommended Sleepy Hollow. It is the day after Christmas and they got us in right away. Saw Dr. Anderson, he was very thorough and reviewed everything with me. Turned out she had pneumonia.

Quick, thorough and reasonably priced. i went in there with what I thought was an eye infection and was told I had a scratched cornea in minutes. Dr. Anderson and his staff do a good job of getting you cared for and on your way. What more can we ask for? Laguna Beach is lucky to have Sleepy Hollow.

I was on vacation, and had a nasty abscess, and had to get care immediately. I did not have to wait when I went in. Dr. Wasbin and the nurse there were extremely friendly, caring and helpful. He gave me information so that I knew my options. I was treated with respect. They took care of the problem, gave me antibiotics, and followed up the next day. The other doc there, Dr. Anderson, has a strong reputation in the community, according to my family, who lives in the area. I would recommend this place to anyone!

I have been going to the clinic over my PPO for years. Convenient, pragmatic and honest. Now most of my family and friends do the same. If one of the Doctors is not for you then ask for another but as a team they are great!

I’ve been to this clinic three times in the past 10 + years, and each time I walk away impressed with the care and touched by the service. The staff are very caring and the doctors there (I have seen Dr. Andersen and Dr. Wasbin), are so incredibly down to earth and genuine. Not only did they put me at ease with their knowledge, but the doctors and staff went out of their way to provide me with additional information relevant to my medical issue and concerns. The older equipment might not impress you, but the knowledge and skills of the doctors and staff will. :)

I wish I could give Sleepy Hollow Medical Group office zero stars…
I came here while having a severe allergic reaction having been stung by a bee. The callus woman behind the counter told me that that I needed my insurance card in order to see he doctor. I explained that my new insurance card was in the mail, and she said without the physical card the doctor would not see me. I called my insurance directly and they called the office while I was standing there and offered to send whatever proof of my coverage that they needed, and she STILL turned me away for lack of a physical card.
I then drove myself over to Laguna-​Dana Urgent Care where they kindly took me right away, and contacted my insurance while I was being treated. On my way out they had printed out a copy of my insurance info for me to carry with me until my new card arrives. =)
I can only imagine the liability for turning away someone with a potentially life threatening emergency. I would recommend going somewhere where they care about the patient, not the copay. Laguna-​Dana Urgent Care took great care of me, I would highly recommend them.
Note to Sleepy Hollow Medical Group: I work at a psychology practice that (until this incident) recommended your services for clients experiencing a medical emergency. We threw out all your referral material and I picked up a nice stack of fliers from Laguna-​Dana Urgent Care where we are now sending all our patients.
