I am not the type to take the time to write a bad review on Unilocal; however, I felt it was warranted in this situation. I recently had a very bad experience with this salon. First experience was great– my friend referred me here and my cut by Sighar was great. Next experience — luke warm. She seemed bothered and in a hurry because she was going out of town. Third experience — disappointing. Appointment was rushed due to the Persian New Year. I called back to see if she could make some adjustments. She said she could and we agreed on a time. The salon representative called and confirmed the appointment for the wrong day. That should have been a sign. I told them not Thursday but we agreed on Tuesday. The salon representative seemed annoyed but said okay. I called Tuesday and said I was running five minutes late. The owner stated Sighar was sick, and no one had called me because I wasn’t on her books. He assured me to come in, and I would be worked in. After waiting one hour, the female owner told me I would have to come back because they could not make their clients wait. Wasn’t I one of their clients? I understand her point, but please don’t have me wait for an hour before sharing this information. I waited several days before writing this, assuming someone would call to make this situation right. If I were Sighar I would be upset with what happened and contact my client immediately. The salon’s apathetic response is telling. I will never return or recommend anyone to this place.

Saghar is the only person i trust with my hair and she has never disappointed. Plus the scalp massages are freakin awesome.
Im always late for my appointments and she never loses it on me and i just go next door to the peruvian restaurant and get drunk till shes ready for me. I like being drunk during a hair cut, its a great experience.
Btw i don’t believe the «mark» guy who gave the bad review below is real. Probably a hater or competitor. Saghar is the polar opposite of that comment.

TERRIBLE COLOR EXPERIENCE/ (ruined my hair!)
My experience was mostly terrible, the hi-​lights were fake looking (bride of frankenstein style bold), the price was way overpriced for the lack of quality attention. The receptionist was my colorist (she was punk, 20’s and had a bright blue smurf hair updo)…being nonjudgmental I agreed to have her do my hair (properly and clearly communicating what I wanted), and she did a horrible color job, and she left midstream in my hair appointment and passed me over to another stylist who gave a semi-​decent haircut. Realizing my hair looked totally unnatural with fake very bold hi-​lights I asked for a color correction. The owner «begrudgingly» gave me a redo that was better, but still really bad. The owner had a «bad attitude» and actualy defended the colorist/​receptionist in training that screwed up my hair, and argued with me the entire time. It was a miserable and just very bad experience, and I will never ever go back, as the owner defend her inept people in training and makes it seem like you are what’s wrong. The salon was also very dirty (bathroom and floors and just allover was not high end) and disorganized and just tackily decorated and messy, as well as the music was too intense and lacked any peace or order. It felt like a bunch of drunks at a nightclub, trying to be high– end hair stylists, but they were still drunk from the night before. The owner actually bullied me, when I asked for a redo, and was trying to make me wait for weeks out, meanwhile I had terrible and ugly fake hair color on my vacation, and couldn’t wait a week to get it looking just barely acceptable. Who wants to pay over $ 200., plus a tip to make two trips there and hours wasted and get barely acceptable hair, and have the owner bully you. TERRIBLE!!! AVOID THIS SALON. Will never ever go back. BAD EXPERIENCE.

This is the ONLY salon that I will trust with my ‘do. =) I’ve been coming to Tracy & her group of amazing stylists about two years, and I always leave feeling like I got my groove back. (Roots can be such a bummer.) Great atmosphere, easy to get to, loads of parking. Their Aveda products are fantastic, and they offer other brands, too. You can get your nails done, get spray tanned, extensions. always get the results I want. Awesome! Definitely check it out.

I live in long beach and happened to be in Laguna with my girl friend as a surprise on my birthday last November. My hair was getting a bit shaggy and since it was my birthday (and we are both Aveda fans) we decided to make some appointments by walking in and asking what was available. She got her nails done, and I got a cut. I’m lucky Saghar had an opening in the afternoon and was well worth the wait because she gave me the best cut of my life and I have been making the 40+ minute drive to see her whenever I need a trim. She is the only one I trust with my hair now. I have difficult hair to cut because I have an oddly shaped head and my receding hairline and uneven growth have always been an issue. An issue that has disappeared since finding Saghar. As with others, I don’t understand who could have given her a bad review (below), so disregard it. Also, the guy with the British accents that works the front desk is energetic and fun. Great customer service.

Amazing! Tracy cut my mid-​length, angled bob to a short, edgy cut– I LOVE IT!!! I wish I would have done it sooner!!! I have received so many compliments– from friends AND strangers! I have been going to her for years and wouldn’t let anyone else touch my hair, especially with a drastic change. The color is also the best I have had– it is rich, vibrant and shiny! She knows my look, my hair, what will work and what won’t. Paul and Tracy and the rest of the staff are wonderful and you feel welcome the moment you walk in the door.
If you don’t walk out of your current salon with that «I am ready to rock the world» feeling, then you need to come see the team at The British Hair Company” (formerly known as Blow Salon and Spa. You will wish you had done it sooner!

Blow Salon is excellent in every way. My stylist Saghar is very talented; she does a great job with color (love the Aveda color product and gloss) and with cut/​styling. She truly understands the clients wishes. I even brought my younger niece over the summer and Saghar gave her a «make over». Saghar listened and helped my niece arrive at a look that worked great for her.
Tracy is also excellent, she did a color and blow dry recently for me.
The salon is bright and clean, calming and well located in Laguna Beach. As you relax at the shampoo bowl you’ll look out a huge picture window at the Laguna trees and hillside.
They are well organized and accommodating. I appreciate the helpful text reminders they send alerting you of your upcoming appointment.
I highly recommend this salon.

Well, 20 years in So. Ca. (I’m a man with a full head of hair) I’ve bounced between three hair dressers for years but have committed to Saghar for the past three years.
Don’t just go in an ask for the same cut every time. Let her figure it out for you. Shes a pro.
And disregard the negative comment from above. I heard that its fake.

It has taken me years but i have finally found a salon i love and stylist I can trust! I have been coming to Saghar for a few months now and have never been disappointed! I have unruly hair and her coloring techniques and product knowledge have been a saving grace. She is a great listener, always on time and really sweet too. Perfect combination for what a stylist should be! Everyone in the salon is friendly, the location is fabulous and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommended!

The best hair salon in town!!! Love Tracy and Paul the owners!!! I have been a customer for over 11 years! The best hair cuts and they have gone out and bought a beautiful purple that I have put on my hair. Walked out tonight and had three different people comment on how great my hair looks!!!

Amazing Salon and stylist! I am very picky about my hair and I have been going to the same guy for the past 3 year so I was nervous at first. But Saghar was amazing and she made me feel comfortable and gave me an amazing haircut that I called her back and thanked her again! I will definitely go back to her! Highly recommend her :)

I had a shampoo, blowdry and flatiron. They are very nice and the salon is nice.

I have had Teresa do my color whenever I am in town and she does a great job, plus has a terrific personality.

I love this salon. It’s a great location in Laguna Beach. The salon is super clean, cool, hip and amazing stylists. I’ve been going here for about a year and would never change my salon! My stylist is Teresa she is amazing! The variety of products are incredible.

I LOVE this Salon. Are you tired of going to a salon and feeling like you aren’t appreciated? The cut isn’t what you wanted/​asked for? The colour is off or just doesn’t shine and make you go Wow? Tired of being treated like your salon is doing YOU a favor instead making you feel like the center of attention and that you are valued?
** Well, take it from me. This Salon has the greatest and most experienced Stylists with Cuts, Colour as well as Extentions that I have had the pleasure of having work on me. I love the fact that they make you feel welcome and appreciated, as well as when I walk out of the Salon I am feeling as well as having my hair look Beautiful. My hair is super curly and can be a lot of work to handle but when Tracy is done with it I get the most compliments from my friends, family, patients as well as just people in general. Unless I move out of the country I will never use anyone else.
I also love the fact that if I want to do a Full day of Beauty… you know… Hair, Nails (full manicure & pedicure), Facial, waxing and tanning that I can do it ALL HERE without having to go driving around wasting time. Oh… by the way… you can also order lunch & or a drink from that great restaurant next door called «Sundried Tomatoe». yummy. They will deliver it straight to you. What more could one ask for huh?

Great location, Awesome Owners, and Faith (my stylist) is THE BEST. I always look forward to my appointment with Faith. She’s super cool, funny and knows what the hell she is doing! She loves to experiment with new styles and trends, so if you’re game, she’s so game!
Their primary haircare products are Aveda, but they do care some other lines. I’m currently buying the Caviar line from them, which I really like…

I went to Blow today and had a wonderful experience! I haven’t had a haircut in 4 months and my hair was feeling heavy and drab so I was craving a change. The had an appointment for me to come in right away which was very convenient and the place was 5 minutes from my house.
I met with Teresa who was very friendly and easy to talk to. I told her what I wanted and she got right to work. I had already washed my hair the night before so she just combed out the tangles and cut my hair dry! I’ve only had one other stylist who did this and i’ve heard this is the best technique so I was really excited.
The haircut only took 15 minutes which was impressive. I was sort of in a hurry so it worked out great. I loved the way my hair looked. No blow dry or styling needed. I just borrowed some styling products for hydration and a tousled beach look and I was ready to go! My hair felt lighter and had more movement. Teresa even gave me a huge discount since she felt she didn’t do much, but I was very satisfied with the result.
I noticed she had a feather in her hair so she said she could do it for me. I sat down and 5 minutes later I had really cute feathers in my hair.
Overall, friendly staff, great customer service, clean and comfortable!

I love Tracy! I have been going to her for nearly 5 years. She is amazing at making my blond hair look very natural. I always get a ton of compliments on my hair. I do not trust anyone else to color my hair as well as Tracy.
