I was recommended by one of my neighbours that sees me walking my Samoyed Angel dog. I was talking to her one day about how frustrated I was about finding a good groomer that knew how to groom a Samoyed. I was spending so much money on groomers that did okay work but it didn’t fit my expectations and I wasn’t getting my money’s worth. My neighbor saved the day she had a client that knew the owner Molly of Tailwagger in Laguna Beach and she said she had two beautiful Samoyed dogs and I was like wow really? and she said yes so I called made an appointment and I have been happy ever since. I love that she has two Sammy’s dogs who I love seeing and they love barking and seeing my Angel. The Owner Molly and the rest of her crew do amazing work. I know my dog is allot of work but the outcome is outstanding and they are worth every penny. Thank you so much

After a VERY bad experience at downtown Laguna Beach Groomers I was recommend to The TailWagger and they are Fantasic ask for Garrett he handles all the bookings and as you can see Bear not only looks great but he is relaxed and happy GREATJOB !!!

Molly & her staff at The Tail Wagger are top notch. We have two Miniature Schnauzers, who we keep in the classic Schnauzer cut, which requires great skill. Molly has made sure they look like show dogs every time. Molly & crew are so happy & friendly, and the shop is so cute. Sure enough, our dogs wag their tails when they see The Tail Wagger front door. Hands down, the BEST!

Just wanted to take the 5 minutes to give these guys a review. Not only were they super friendly but they treated my dog like one of their own, and that is the best feeling for a pet owner. My dog’s name is bailey and she is a sweet yellow lab. She left her grooming experience just as happy as she came in and if I didn’t live in San Diego, this would be my go to groomer. I would highly recommend this shop to any dog lover around. She smells, looks, and feels great. Thankyou!!!

Was so excited to find groomer so close to my house. Nicest people you could ever meet… however, in the 4 years I have owned my long haired Maltese (who gets groomed every 2 weeks) I have NEVER had a worse Bath & Brush! I don’t know if they ran out of time and just didn’t finish her (it was the end of the day on Saturday) or if this is just the way they groom, but she did NOT receive a brush out and her face and ears were yellow! I had to bring her home and finish her myself. But unfortunately her hair was already dry so the «curly» part would not comb out and I will have to have her done again. I had already paid when he handed her to me so I did not see all this until I got her to the car and looked at her! They were closing so I could not go back in to show them. So disappointed.

We called early Saturday morning and they were able to fit our dog in. They did a great job on shaving her for the summer. We will forever be loyal customers

By far the best groomer in orange county. I did not know that they only except cash or check and they were kind enough to tell me to come back and pay at my leisure. I’ve had problems in the past with groomers accidentally cutting my dogs feet because she only weighs 4 pounds. She also shakes from being nervous, She’s very small and it takes a lot of attention to detail. She was tired from getting off of a flight when I brought her in but when I picked her up she seemed very happy. The groomer I dealt with was incredibly awesome… He was so kind and I appreciate good people. His love for dogs was apparent as he gushed over her cute little face. In the past I’ve paid the extra for a mobile groomer to ensure quality of care. I will not be doing that anymore.

My Chico was such a nervous anxious dog and Molly always accommodated him by getting him in and out of there asap. She affecionately called him Drama Boy and took such good care of him. He’s passed on now but my next dog will definitely be a Tail Wagger client!

This is the best place for dog grooming in Laguna Beach. Okay, I have a Weimaraner who doesn’t need an elaborate doggie ‘do. But, as is typical of Weims, my dog has the dreaded breed characteristic of – separation anxiety! Because Molly et al genuinely love dogs of all sizes, they know how to cope and always do a great job on my dog’s bath and nails! There is never stinky doggie after her spa experience here!

I have been going to Molly who owns TailWaggers now for years and years. I’ve had 3 dogs who are all currently customers of hers, and they love her and the staff, as do I!
Unfortunately her x-​husband who she trained to do dog grooming, set out on his own to start his own business and completely copied her. I guess that is the best form of flattery, but don’t be confused, as Molly is the one and only and original!
My dogs are ALWAYS CLEAN AND HAPPY AND ON TIME. She grooms down to the skin, and combs out all hair completely which many other groomers do NOT! She skillfully uses combs to get out ALL MATTING, which other groomers charge more for and do not even address, because they are too lazy. And they Always smell sooooo good. I have turned other people and their pets onto her and they all love her as well.
You are well loved and respected Molly and I for one am your biggest fan. Well, actually… my three babies love you first.

Molly and her staff are the best! They sincerely love dogs and treat them beautifully. They do an EXCELLENT job at grooming and «puppy cutting» my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (and I am picky). Their prices are beyond reasonable and I recommend them to all my friends. Everyone I’ve sent there has been just as happy as I’ve been.
I’ve taken Murphy there for nearly 8 years now and there was a time I tried another groomer (because of distance), and Murphy was MISERABLE when I picked him up. After that, I was more than happy to make any length of drive back to Tailwagger where we both leave happy!

We used to live in Newport Coast and had luckily found Molly who owns the Tailwagger. She educated us on the best way to keep our golden retriever happy in the warm summer months by giving him a puppy cut or a shave down. He was always so much happier after his time at the Tailwagger. We later moved to Arizona and had acquired a rescue lab mix. While vacationing back in the area we absolutely had to bring our dog, Luke, to Molly. It had been many years since we had seen her and she immediately remembered us and was sincerely happy to see us and more importantly groom Luke. The time, patience and understanding she gave to our some times fearful Luke was heartwarming. We have had Luke at the hands of many other groomers but NO ONE could even come close to Molly. His hair cut was perfectly feathered in from his head to his back (no ledge there!!!) his tail clipped in proportion to his body. Luke’s nails were short for the first time in years. No other groomer would give Luke the attention and patience to tend to his long nails due to his skittishness. Whether you have a show dog, a rescue dog or man’s best friend give you and your dog a treat and see Molly. Her passion for animals and her great enthusiasm is unparalleled.

Nice groomer, but I just hate cages.
I called same day to get just a quick wash on a very short haired dog. Showed up, and was told to come back an hour later. Dog smelled great but ears weren’t perfectly cleaned.
The dogs get put in cages and then the dryer does the work.
I am very spoiled to usually have a groomer that does not have a single cage and hand drys the dogs. When the dogs are done they all play together.
I think the above is unusual, but it is what I prefer.
Still, I would come here but just wouldn’t leave my dog for long.

I’ve taken my dog twice to be hand stripped.
Each time I’ve been happy with Yoda’s disposition when I pick her up, the grooming and the customer service.
I have a list of special instructions (no anal gland expression, only wash with product I provide, etc…), and they have accepted that list with a smile and I haven’t had any issues with them not following it.
It’s hard to find someone to do hand stripping so not only do I appreciate their treatment of my dog and myself, I’m also happy that they offer this service!

I have been taking my dog to The Tail Wagger for several months now without complaint, all has been good until today. I went in for a routine nail trim and anal gland expression on my 20 lb terrier mix who is 12 years old. Every time I take her some place I let them know she is very strong, and very squirmy. The nail clipping usually takes 2 people, 1 to hold and 1 to trim. The groomer today did it all on his own, it was like watching a wrestling match on the table while 2 other groomers stood by and watched and offered no help. He then used the table harness on her and walked away from the table, where she proceeded to get loose and fall to the ground from the grooming table! The other 2 groomers just looked at me in horror like «what is he going to do». But my Mollie came running to me and she seemed fine after taking a 4 foot fall to a hard floor. Right now she seems to be okay and resting, but the carelessness that was showed today will assure that I will never return and I would advise anyone else to go somewhere else.

I have been taking my two Shitzu’s to molly for two years (once a month). we love her and her team (I found her through word of mouth by the way). The dogs are never scared. I’ve never experienced anything but a well oiled machine — dogs are brought in on time and they are ready on time. My dogs are small so I worry about them being nervous and they love Tail Waggers — and before Laguna they have been groomed in many shops. Molly’s shop is priced better or as good as the competition and the dogs look great — which is why Im a loyal customer. Thanks Molly!

I take my 5 year old lab here at least once a month for a bath and nail clipping, and the staff at Tail Waggers does an amazing job. This is the only place I can take my dog without her being scared or refusing to walk into the building. Molly the owner is so sweet and truly cares for the dogs, plus their prices are cheaper than other local groomers. I highly recommend this doggy day spa!

My experience was disappointing to say the least. However, it started out good, Molly was nice and really seems to love dogs. I was looking for a groomer that knew how to do «stripping» for my Irish Terrier. I had a groomer do stripping on my dog before, however, she is no longer in the area. So I asked Molly if she knew how to do stripping, and she said she did. Stripping is done to remove the coat that is dead and leave the new healthy coat underneath, because wire haired terriers have two coats. If the dog is not stripped, then the coat makes the dog too hot in the Summertime, and the dead hair will be shed all over the house.
When I returned to pick up my dog, I was disappointed when Molly told me that she has been trying to scratch a spot on her back. Well, first of all she couldn’t even reach the spot to scratch, but Molly indicated she must have a «hot spot». Well, my dog was not scratching before I brought her in to get groomed, and when I picked her up she was trying to scratch her upper back and had a large bald spot from the stripping procedure. This had never happened in her previous stripping procedures. Molly said that she did feel bad that she was scratching so she would discount my grooming, however, she still charged me the amount she quoted me on the phone $ 60 for each dog. So where was the discount? Also I had to go and spend $ 110 at the vet because Molly suggested that my dog had a «hot spot», and the vet just said that it was not a «hot spot», that in fact the process of stripping is an «art» and some groomers haven’t perfected it. I interpreted that as maybe Molly really doesn’t know how to properly do stripping and maybe should not be claiming she in fact can practice it safely. My dog is still hot when we take her on walks and is still shedding all over my house.

Took my new newfi pup to Tailwagger today. Great staff. The dog was happy when I picked her up and her prices was great. She had lots of big dogs in there as well and medium sized dogs, short and long haired dogs. Everyone seemed to get along fine.
