in total: 8 weeks vs the original 4 weeks. i completely understand that he was busy and i cant fault him for that. plus, if he’s busy it says something about his work.
after getting my pistol back, i couldn’t be happier. fit and finish are great and it shoots awesome. trigger reset and internals look and feel great. without a doubt, i will be taking other firearms here. just need to be okay w/​the wait. but good things come to those who wait!

I just brought my S&W 629 to this place to see if they could fix /​reassemble my gun! It was a spring issue in which I couldn’t put on (embarrassing)! Kevin looked at it and in 5 minutes it was reassembled and fixed! Great Customer Service!!! He didn’t even charge me! I will for sure share this place with my fellow shooters!

I can’t say enough about Kevin and Dan at Armstrong Arms! Being a gun enthusiast for some 30 years, an IDPA and 3-​gun competitor for 10 years, and practicing my skill set while shooting hundreds of rounds weekly, I was looking for a true artisan with exceptional attention to detail to maintain my guns, all of which have been customized in one way or another. I found what I was looking for with Armstrong Arms and GUNSMITHING!
Lots of people claim to be gunsmiths but do not have the skill set to get beyond merely replacing worn parts, something I can do myself. But when it comes to tuning triggers and other such customized work, I have yet to meet someone better than Kevin. Why? Because he takes exceptional pride in his work. I’m a very satisfied customer.

Really good knowledgeable people for this business, Excellent job for a very reasonable price. Kevin installed a free float 12 inches Midwest Industries handguard on my Colt 6920 and I will be back for removing original folding front sight and installing fixed A1 front sight for my Colt 6940 upper. Customer service is the best! Will come back soon. I live in Lawndale and about more than 40 miles from them but it’s worth the long drive.

This place is great! Kevin and Dan were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They took time to talk to me and at the end of the day made my 1911 better than when I first brought it into them. They are officially my gunsmith moving forward.

I was blown away at how great these guys are. Stellar customer service and very knowledgeable. I won’t go anywhere else! They take the time to familiarize themselves with what you need and do the job right.

Came in for some help with an «internet gunsmith modified» rifle receiver which had some base screws broken off that didn’t want to come out. In and out in less than 15 minutes, Kevin even mounted my new picatinny base for me.
Very quick, very professional service and work here. Not that I’m hoping I encounter more messed up firearms, but I would not hesitate to come here again. Really, a hidden gem in the heart of South Orange County.
They offer a wide range of services here! If I have gunsmithing needs again this place will be the first place I call.

These guys are great!
I needed to get some tritium sights installed on my CZ P01, and the guys at On-​Target highly recommended Armstrong Arms. I gave them a call, they said they were closing soon, but I could come by anyway since they’d be there for a bit. Drove over talked to them about what I needed, and Kevin had it done in about 10 minutes, and the price was more than fair.
Both Kevin and Dan were friendly and seemed pretty knowledgeable. Kevin said that if I needed any adjustments after testing it at the range that he’d be happy to adjust the sight at no extra cost. We chatted about their services, which seem to cover just about any smithing you’d ever need, and I was out the door. I plan to do much more business with them in the future.
P. S. I had originally taken my pistol to a different gunsmith for installation, but he charged me a fortune and botched the job. Read my review for details of the other place:

Its very rare that you get to deal with friendly, knowledgeable and not greedy businesses. This is absolutely one that restores faith in society. I took a pistol that was jamming to them. Kevin took it to the back and within 10 minutes he handed it to me. He said that it was very minor and wouldn’t accept any compensation. There is no question that I will be back for all repair needs in the future. This is a good model for any small business to follow.

I was referred to Kevin by a local gun range. I was having a problem with my LWRCi rifle where the magazine kept falling out after a shot. Kevin quickly diagnosed the problem and did not pressure me to have it fixed there and referred me to the manufacturer who would be able to fix it free of charge. He didn’t even charge me for looking at my rifle.
I have been looking for a good gunsmith with reasonable prices in the area for a long time. I will definitely come back to Kevin for any future gunsmithing needs.

These guys are awesome, I always get great work done with them. I’ve brought rifles and pistols to them and never had a bad experience. I would recommend them to anyone they do great work!

hey; i am kind of a newbee to the CA gun world, as we just moved here from the east coast 6 months ago… but i discovered Armstrong Arms Gunsmithing at a recent gun show after reading about them on line. Made my first walk in visit today with a Sig Sauer p232 which needed a very minor repair… Kevin, the owner fixed the problem on the spot, and was very professional about his business. Will be back to the shop with all my guns as soon as anything is needed or just for a professional tune-​up/​maintenance. Am also planning on taking a Beretta 85FS to him for inspection as soon as i pick it up, as it is a «used gun», purchased locally.

Kevin is the BEST. I’ve had two different guns serviced with him since January. Both times he showed genuine interest in helping me out. You can tell he’s very passionate about his job. He is extremely knowledgable about the trade and is a great reference for all firearm questions. He charges a more than fair price and treats your firearm with great care (as if it was his own). Both times he finished the job with time to spare and the work was flawless. I would highly recommend his services to anyone.

These folks helped me out with a difficult task to replace a cracked stock end cap for a vintage Ithaca shotgun.
Kevin was a great help and very knowledgable.
