Excel Dental and Orthodontics

I’m so glad i came to see doctor Lapsi! At my age and getting braces was such a horrifying image!!! However, i went to see doctor Lapsi and doctor Lee since my friend is also getting ortho. with them. They gave me different ortho. options. They have the regular (metallic) brackets, the clear (ceramic) brackets, and invisalign. They were very specific with my treatment and procedure, which i love! Everywhere else they would beat around the bush. I’m nearly at the final stage of my treatment and I honestly can say I’m a vary satisfied patient.
I would definitely give this office 10 STARS if it gave me an option!!!

Let me start by saying that Dr. Lapsi and his incredible staff were not only caring and compassionate, but preformed a miracle for my smile. I have been afraid to smile for years due to chipped teeth from an accident. I was very apprehensive at first but Dr. Lapsi’s staff put me at ease from the moment I sat in the chair. The work he performed was nothing short of pure artistry, and when finished I went home and looked in the mirror admiring his craftsmanship. I am so stoked to be able to smile and feel comfortable doing so. Thank you so much Dr. Lapsi, and please extend my sincere gratitude to your amazing staff. You have gained a patient for life.

Awsome office and very helpful Dentist. Dr. Lapsi went out of his to way to help me by coming to the office after hours to help me with an old silver filling that broke while I was visiting out of town.
I was visiting Orange County from Boston and was out attending a party, when I suddenly felt that my tooth had cracked. Immediately panic mode set in and I was in the verge of a breakdown, feeling helpless and not knowing how I would fix this problem prior to my flying back to Boston. I immediately looked online for an emergency dentist and found ‘Excel Dental’. I promptly called the office number and a very nice lady by the name of ‘Dee’ who was so helpful and immediately paged ‘Dr.Lapsi’ who called me right away and agreed to see me at 8:00pm. Fortunately, the tooth did not need a Root Canal but ended up needing a crown. The entire procedure time did not take more than an hour and Dr. Lapsi is such an amazing dentist who really cared for me and made sure I was comfortable during the entire procedure. I really feel so appreciated with the promptness, the caring attitude and the quality of the dental care that was provided to me. Excellent excellent office.

To say the least I dread going to the dentist like most people who need treatments done. Dr. Lapsi and his assistants made my day at the dentist very comforting and the treatment went very well. Dr. Lapsi was gentle and careful with the treatment and got done in a timely manner. I no longer dread the dentist as much as I did before.

Growing up in only what seemed like the «hillbillies era», I went to the same dentist as my whole family, to a dentist who probably resembled Dr. Frankenstein. On one of my visit’s I felt particularly, faintish and disgruntled as one of the little Asian woman screamed in only what I can relate to as English from Mars’ Come over here! Look at how gross the big black hole is!’. I was mortified as a little child, and probably would have ran faster than ‘Forrest Gump’ if it wasn’t for the torturous hand down strap’s tied to my arms. So, needless to say as an adult, not only am I petrified but also don’t have ‘ANY’ or ‘HIGH’ expectations from any Dental office or any Dental provider. Well, fast forward many year’s and I woke up on a Thursday morning to a mouth in pain and to a horror of finding a dentist the first thing in the morning while I was sobbing in the worst pain that I had experienced. My face was fully swollen up on my right side and the pain can only be described as like someone kicking your head 100 x times by the minute. I found Dr. Lapsi on Unilocal,and a couple of hours later, I found myself seated in the dental torture chamber. Thanks to the receptionist, Wendy, who is extremely friendly, the appointment was made immediately and the office accommodated me in between their patient’s to make sure I was not going to get a heart attack from the anxiety. From the time I stepped in, no exaggeration, but this place is truly the best–
1) They have computer/​TV screens attached to the chairs so you can either listen to soft music that hopefully makes you less anxious or you can watch a movie to get your mind off from the Dental phobia.
2) Being a cash/​having no Dental insurance patient, they make sure they go out of their way to do everything that they can to give you options and to work out payment plans with you through financing companies. This in itself is awesome just cause the stress of having a tooth ache is clearly nerve recking only to add to the financial worry of the cost of the treatment.
3) Dr. Lapsi si the man! Dr. Lapsi greeted me with so much warmness that by far it put my anxiety to immediate rest. He is also qualified to put patient’s like me under sedation, to do any Dental treatment, which frankly would be my only option. He took so much time in explaining me my options in plain simple english and making sure that I was comfortable the entire time. Immediately, I felt that I could trust him with my teeth and I knew he would have my best interest in his mind.
Since coming to this practice, my teeth have become so much happier. I’ve become a better brusher and a flosser and mostly I have started to overcome my fears of Dentistry. Due to so many year’s of negligence, I have had a lot of Dental treatment and can not add enough how special Excel Dental and Dr. Lapsi are. I cannot recommend the entire team and Dr. Lapsi highly enough.

When it comes to dentist, I’m VERY picky! I was referred to this office and heard great service about them and I was impressed. The staff was great and took really good care of me, something you don’t see very often. Dr. Lapsi was very professional and couldn’t have had a better experience, honestly. Highly recommend it to new patients and especially friends/​family!

I was referred to Excel Dental to see Dr. Lapsi. This dental office is great! I have had a lot of problems in the past with other dental offices but this office made me feel very welcomed and comfortable. The staff was great very professional and courteous. I would definitely recommend all my family and friends to go here.

My husband has major dental issues from lack of dental care due to an intense phobia of the dentist office. (Bad experiences as a kid scarred him). My husband had an infection that was causing pressure in his head, leaving him without sleep for a month, and just constant intense pain. Dee was able to get us in right away and eased my husbands nerves. Dr. Lapsi and his team really showed concern for my husbands well being. They continued to follow up with their work, and have even created a long term game plan to get his teeth/​mouth/​smile beautiful and healthy. We highly recommend Excel Dental to anyone looking for a dentist.

I was referred to Dr. Akash Lapsi, Excel Dental and Orthodontics, by 1800 dentist, who recommended 2 crowns but told me sometimes they don’t work and might have to come back for a root canal. He also said I grind my teeth and recommended a $ 500 mouth guard to wear at night.
I wanted a second opinion, so I went to another dentist, Dr. Alan Johnson (Hada Family Dental in Mission Viejo), who listened to my history and said based on the pain I was having and sensitivity in the nerve, he recommended I see an endodontist for a possible root canal on the one tooth. The other tooth Dr. Lapsi recommended needed a crown, Dr. Johnson said was fine. He had me do some bite tests and said I definitely «clench» my teeth but do not grind and did not need a $ 500 mouth guard.
Dr. Fife, the endodontist did 3D Xrays and said the crack was so large that although he could do a root canal and Dr. Johnson could do the crown, in a year or two I would be back with an infection and we would be back where we started and I would need an extraction and implant. So, instead of doing the root canal that would have made Dr. Fife more money, he referred me back to Dr. Johnson, who referred me to Dr. Adam Clark, an oral surgeon who did the extraction today and is a 5 star oral surgeon in his own right!
It is so rare these days to find a professional who will give you high quality professional treatment and give you the advice that is best for you — not him! I feel Dr. Lapsi’s treatment plan was short-​sighted and am pleased I went to a team of dental professionals who gave me the right treatment for me at this time.

I’m a nervous wreck when it come to going to the dentist. I broke my left lower molar, called excel dental & orthodontics spoke with Dee she was very kind and professional she had talked me into making the appointment to see Dr. Lapsi. Had 2 root canals done and Dr. Lapsi was very gentle, he took his time to performed my root canals. Explained in details for my after root canal care.

By far one of the greatest dental office I have ever gone to. I usually do not enjoy coming to the dentist, but coming into that office changed my mind about that all. The vibes are so great, the staff are all very friendly and understanding! I definitely do recommend Dr. Lapsi, and Dr. Maysam’s services. They are very comfortable and friendly and make coming to the dentist easier.

Awesome dental facility! This is my first time here and I’m sure I’ll have my further periodical check ups here. Dr. Akash Lapsi is a wonderful doctor and eased my nervousness (I’m scared of needles and such).

Dr. Lapsi is one of the best dentist ever! He has taken care of my mouth for 5years now, and I couldn’t imagine better service and work. He is so precise with his skills and always performs to perfection. His prices are honest and reasonable and his work is with care. I went and saw Dr. Maysam Salehpour and was pleasantly surprised. I honestly hate dentist but he was actually very calming and created a relaxed environment. The office staff was friendly and Dr. Maysam was very professional and thorough. I recently switched dentist and am glad I did.
