Dr. Salib started his medical training by attending the University of Wisconsin Medical School with his Doctor of Medicine degree. Following this, he attended a UCLA-​affiliated residency program at the King-​Drew Medical Center. In addition to this, Dr. Salib went on to complete a one-​year fellowship for specialization in advanced surgical techniques at the esteemed Tulane University in New Orleans under the directionof some of the United States’ top surgeons.

I am pleased to say that Dr. Salib himself took the time to respond to my previous review on Unilocal and asked if we would please give him another chance as he does care for his patients and wants them to be happy. So I did. And I couldn’t have been more pleased. This was a complete eye exam for my 95-​year-​old mother, and she is just too frail to be out very long. Dr. Salib and his staff went out of their way to be sure that she was seen quickly and that she was comfortable. And I don’t think it was just her. It seems he has made an effort to streamline his office appointments — as we were waiting for her eyes to dilate, we could see that patients were being seen in a timely manner. He truly does care about his patients.

Just completed my annual eye exam with Dr. Salib. Obviously not fun sitting through a battery of tests but Dr. and staff were extremely thorough and competent as they explored and addressed all potential issues. Follow up was great and I feel confident in highly recommending Dr. Salib.

So I came here upon recommendation for LASIK.
I have to warn you to be patient– because Dr. Salib is very, very thorough.
That’s a good thing because these are my eyes I’m talking about.
I had in all 3 eye exams of all the fancy tests on the fancy machines, each followed by Dr. Salib going through a very long examination of my eyes.
All that triple checking but when it came down to it, I lay down and in what felt like about 2 – 3 minutes, it was over and they handed me back a pair of glasses that have been with me (over 4 years in the Navy) which I am never going to use again.
I slept all that day, but the next day, I was seeing 20⁄15. I put in my drops exactly as prescribed. It’s been a week and a half now, and sure enough I love my new and improved eyes and they are pretty comfortable, no more discomfort than a pair of contacts (but instead of getting worse with time, it gets better and better.
I could not be happier with how all my questions were answered, how everything went, and seeing 20⁄15.
Dr. Salib and his staff are extremely knowledgeable, and I highly recommend everyone take advantage of that. He asked me what I was trying to achieve by getting LASIK, told me what the risks were and odds, what I needed to do to improve my odds. All in all, working as a team, I think I got what I wanted, I made an investment for my quality of life and I hope I will continue to reap the rewards for at least the next decade or so.
Fun fact about office gossip: everyone keeps asking me about LASIK, more than the guy at work who just bought a Tesla. Just putting that out there. (Not to knock on Tesla owners, because I think they’re great cars)

Dr. George Salib really knows his stuff. He’s a true expert, professional and extremely knowledgeable opthalmalogist. I was scared when 2 different eye incidences occurred on myself. Each time was a different diagnosis by him; however, the symptoms were very similar. I won’t be specific in the diagnosis but I just knew that he knew what he was talking about. I was so stressed about the problem with my eye until Dr. Salib gave my eyes a thorough exam and told me the problem. Disappointed they no longer accept VSP insurance.

My daughter had a contusion in her eye. It look like a tearduck was swollen. It would burst every two days with blood. It would get all over her face and clothes. Then it would grow again. It was pretty scary. We took her to Dr.Salib. Dr. Salib and his staff were great with are daughter made her feel comfortable and not scard. Dr. Salib was the one that told us what it was and she had an infection. We had to give her some drops for two week. Then she had surgery to remove the ball that look like a swollen tearduck Dr. Saw her until he made sure her eye was back to normal and healthy.. Dr. Salib was amazing with are daughter same with the staff. After the surgery her eye was back to normal like she never had anything. Dr. Salib and his staff care about there patients well been, recovery and mental frame of mind. They are with u every step of the way. All amazing, amazing 100 time would recommend him to anybody. Thank you Dr Salib and stff!

Dr. Salib and his staff are simply wonderful. He is so freakin’ detail oriented that when it was time to get Wavefront LASIK done I was so comfortable and at ease that I felt like I made the right decision in choosing Dr. Salib over all the other options out there. His thoroughness and availability, along with his staffs’, made it clear that they all deeply cared about my recovery and that he is deeply invested in his patients and his work. Awesome, awesome, awesome experience all around. And I can seeeeeee at 20⁄15!!!
