Cory was fast and quite inexpensive. I passed and it only took a couple of minutes. I’ve never had such a quick smog check. I’ll be taking my other vehicle there too!

Busy day today. Was not able to get a decal for Gate entrance as the title was not yet transferred. I overheard decal customer service person Therese inform one person before me to go to Auto club for faster service. As it was my turn and needing to transfer auto title. I asked the decal CS person. If the Auto club will do a transfer and where they are located. She said «I don’t know you will have to call them. I than asked for a 4 wk gate pass and she said why if you are going to the auto club today. They will give you registration right away. Oops I thought she did not know. Of course I do understand Selective of whom you want to help. Ok went to Auto club wait for my turn and find out I needed. A smog certificate. Ok instead of putting it off I headed to Smog Service and Corey who is a very friendly owner took me in right away. Whew! Passed and back to Auto club and back to our Association. Walla hot my decal. Now not necessary to show gate entrance temporary overnite parking pass. Go to Corey’s Smog Service Station. Also, if you are at DMV and find out you need to go to have your car smog tested.

Probably the fastest smog check in the history. 5 minutes maybe. The front office needs to be updated. You really feel like taking a shower after visiting here. Friendly service though and I was told to just finish my lunch before I paid.

I have been taking all my cars here for the past 6 years. They have really fast and great service.
The fact that they only do smog checks is a huge bonus for me. There is no list of things you have to repair in order to get the smog done.

What a rip-​off!?!
Walked in and inhaled cigarette stench as I stare at the ‘No Smoking’ sign in the waiting room. What an inviting aroma… not. Guy tells me he’ll only charge $ 50+ to do a smog test. Gee, thanks? I don’t ever remember paying anyone THAT much.
Tip: check your local PennySaver for smog test coupons. I found one for $ 25. Are you thinking, ‘Cheaper than this place?’ You’re damn right.

+Very close to the Laguna Hills DMV, I didn’t realize I needed a smog and the DMV guy said I didn’t have to wait in line if I took care of it and came right back.
+Like others have mentioned, my «Service Engine Soon» light was on. It does this occasionally and my mechanic & I have determined the cause doesn’t justify the service required to make it stop since it is just a sensor that is sensitive.
The owner, I believe his name is Corey, helped me and he was amazing! The first question he asked is if the light was on. When I replied yes, he said «I could take your $ 60 now and you won’t pass. Go to your mechanic, tell them you are about to get a smog test and see what they say. Then come right back here and we’ll test you then.»
HOW AWESOME! I did exactly what he suggested and passed with no problem. I was back at the DMV within an hour with my completed registration and new tags.
Now, a few things you should know… this isn’t a swanky OC service station with a lounge and coffee machine, etc. DON’T LET THAT DETER YOU!
This is a garage in an industrial park. I didn’t have to wait either time I visited. This was easily the most efficient trip to a service station I’ve ever experienced.
I hope you never have to worry about Smog Checks & the DMV but if you do, go straight to Smog Service Station.

My DMV registration renewal is up and I was required to go to get a smog check. I had a «check engine» light on in my car for some time but didn’t give it any thought. I went to Smog Service Station and the guy ran the test. Apparently I failed because of the fact that my «check engine» light was on. He charged me $ 40 and told me that I can come back for a re-​test at ½ the price once my car was fixed.
I went to a car repair shop regarding my «check engine» light and told him that I failed the smog test. I showed him the results of the test and he said that the figures indicate that I passed everything. The only reason I failed was because of the «check engine» light. He then told me that every smog check business would tell you immediately that you could not pass the test if there is a «check engine» light on. Namely, no honorable smog check business would even run the test if the light is on. Either the guy at Smog Service Station knew that my «check engine» light was on but ran the test anyway knowing that it would fail so that he could charge me; or he didn’t see the «check engine» light until after the test was performed — at which point he should have waived the fee since he was negligent in pointing it out. It’s either lack of ethics or incompetence in my opinion. I’m not going back there for my re-​test even if it’s 50% off. Come to think of it, don’t most smog stations offer free re-​tests if a car fails?
Never again.

I’ve compared his prices to other local stations and he is less expensive ($ 60, compared with $ 75 — $ 80 at some other places). Two of my co-​workers have also gone here and been satisfied with the experience. I would highly recommend going here if you are local and need some smoggy fun.
