The V & T Dance Academy provides a variety of programs specifically developed to encourage a young dancers artistic expression. Each program is created to meet the dancer’s needs: the goal is to encourage the fulfillment of the dancer’s potential.

The V & T Dance Academy programs are based on the unique teaching method developed by Master teachers Victor and Tatiana Kasatsky. This teaching method centers on encouraging the dancers individual artistic, physical and emotional well-​being.

Victor and Tatiana strive to help each student completely enjoy the art of dance; treasure the devotion to training, experience the technical accomplishments of the craft, and know the pleasure of artistic expression.

Classes include — Ballet for dancers ages 3 and up, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Variations, Partnering/​Pas de demux, Pointe, Stretch, Adult ballet classes.

History

Established in 2008.

Both Victor and Tatiana were born in Russia and received classical ballet training. Victor was a principal dancer in the Moscow Classical Ballet. Tatiana met Victor after she graduated from the Bolshoi Academy and also became a principal dancer with the Moscow Classical Ballet. Victor and Tatiana shared the stage with great dancers such as Natalya Makarova, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Maya Plisetzkaya, Nadejda Pavlova, and Vladimir Malakhov. They also worked with world famous choreographers such as Pierre Lacotte and Alberto Alonso, and danced pieces choreographed by Roland Petit and George Balanchine.

In 1991, the married couple moved to the United States and joined the Los Angeles Classical Ballet. They also worked at the Long Beach Ballet Art Center, Daria Bearden Dance Studio and Pacific Coast Academy of Dance as artistic directors before realizing their dream by opening their own studio, V & T Dance Academy in 2008. V & T Dance features classical Russian Vaganova ballet training.
