What an AMAZING first experience!!!
This place is nothing like any dentist I’ve been to. When I walked in the door I was given such a warm welcoming by the receptionist Moe, I felt right at home. The office is extremely clean, but it doesn’t feel like a sterile doctors office. It has a very homey feel, and you instantly feel welcomed.
Oscar was the dental hygienist that cleaned my teeth, and he did an unbelievable job. This was by far the best teeth cleaning I’ve ever had. He did a thorough job, made sure I was comfortable, and explained every step along the way.
Dr. Shunk was the dentist I saw. He seemed like a really nice down to earth guy. He didn’t try to tell me I had a bunch of new things wrong with my teeth, just to try to make money off of me like I’ve had done to me in the past. I also appreciated that he went through each X-​ray photo with me and explained each one thoroughly.
He’s a really nice guy and anyone would be like to have him as their dentist.
This is HANDS DOWN the best dentist/​dental office I have ever been to, and I will definitely be back. Save yourself the hassle and look no further, this is the place for you!!!

Who goes to the dentist and has a good time? Well I did.
Upbeat positive outstanding patient service. The office was very clean and homey like you were in your living room waiting for a cleaning.
Mo and office staff are positive and flexible. They really work with you. The schedule was right on time too. No waiting. The hygienist was so gentle explaining everything.
Dr Petit was very personable and came up with a plan I was confident would met my dental care and budget. Thanks and I highly recommend this dental practice

I came to Dr. Shunk and Dr. Petit after chipping my front tooth… yep the one front and center was seriously half gone and I was panicked. They both came in to see me on the weekend as an emergency patient and my tooth now looks amazing because of Dr. Petit’s desire to make sure it was «as perfect as possible.» You never would have known that it is half fake thanks to their work. I then came back to get a cleaning with Oscar who is amazing and so gentle and saw Dr. Shunk to have cavities filled. I fell asleep during the fillings and woke up drooling which was slightly embarrassing. His assistant was very kind and I think her name was Mariana. The front desk girl Moe is hysterical and really helped me with my insurance. she wouldn’t let them off the hook and made sure they paid every penny they were supposed to. (Shout out to delta dental for coming through). And the office is pretty too! You must go in and see Dr. Petit and Dr. Shunk :)))

I am terrified of dentists. This office is helping me overcome my fears of dental maintenance. Dr. Petit & staff are incredible! I always feel so warm & welcome during my visits. I refuse to let anyone else work on my teeth! Highly recommended :)

Although it may seem unheard of, I had a relaxing and enjoyable time at the dentist getting a root canal of all things. Both Dr Shunk and Petit are more than accommodating, making sure I was comfortable. The overall procedure was quick and painless, I even took a nap with the soft lulling of the tools at work. Great experience!

What a amazing experience.
The Dental Hygentist, Beth was incredible. She had knowledge, and did not judge my lack of flossing. Her attitude towards my care was apparent, and she clearly wanted only the best for my teeth. She was soft, explained everything as it was about to happen — the best hygentist I have ever had.
Dr. Petit is personable, professional and has a «chair-​side» manor second to none. This was by far my best experience in a Dentist chair in my 45 years.
The office is clean, all of the staff is professional and as a patient, I knew everyone in that office was there for me — their customer. I will be back.
I would STRONGLY recommend Dr. Petite and her hygentist Beth to anyone needing first class dental care.

Dr. Petite and her staff are great. The first thing you notice is that everyone seems to really like there jobs… It is a very positive environment. I had a crown put back on and a teeth cleaning. Fortunately, they have soft hands. it didn’t hurt at all! If you your looking for a new Dentist in Laguna Niguel you ought to try them! By the way, the office is very nice too.

Although the hygienist is good the Dr. is not what I would expect. She seemed very tense and she poked my gums really hard even though I told her my mouth is tender. I was really put off by Dr. Petit’s dismissive attitude and the fact that she seemed to spend as little time as possible with me. I wanted to ask her some questions about the treatment plan but she brushed me off and told me to ‘work with the treatment coordinator’. Uh.okay. Wont be going back here for sure!
