I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Veronica Gonzalez, did consultation on the same day too, everything went very smoothly even though I’m a very anxious person when it comes to surgeries and dentists. The staff was very friendly, I didnt feel a thing until it was all done. If you’re scared about getting your wisdom teeth removed I would seriously recommend them for you, they handled me in the best way possible.

Everything about visiting Dr. Johnson’s office was fantastic. When I went in for my initial consultation I was relatively nervous, but his staff put all of my fears aside and were very friendly.
Fast forward to 2 weeks it was time for my wisdom teeth extraction (all four). Once I was called into the back room Dr. Johnson and his staff all had smiles on their faces and all gave a friendly welcome. They had some sweet music going on too, must I add, that really was helpful at calming pre-​surgery anxiety.
Everything went very smooth. Very little pain and minor swelling. Same day after surgery Dr. Johnson called me from his personal cell and asked how I was doing and told me if I needed anything to give him a call or text.
Overall, I was very impressed and will definitely recommend Dr. Johnson to my friends and family.

I would highly recommend Dr. Johnson. I recently had a molar extraction and every part of my treatment (consult, surgery and follow up) was above excellent. I had major anxiety going to a new dentist; Dr. Johnson was wonderful. He took his time to fully explain the procedure and listen to any questions or concerns I had. He is the best oral surgeon I’ve been to, and his staff are professional and kind.

Dr. Johnson and his staff are superb. I got my wisdom teeth pulled 2 weeks ago and just had my check up today. They are always wanting your best interest and give you helpful tips in anyway possible.

My initial consultation was a breeze, they were very helpful and concerning about if I had any questions every time they explained something to me and they are very thorough. I have been wanting to get my wisdom teeth removed because the pain was getting worse by the day. So, over the past weekend, I finally had some time to Unilocal and read a few reviews of different dentist offices. One Monday I called a few dentists and finally decided to go with Laguna Surgical.
Dr Johnson and his team were amazing! The whole procedure went smooth and now i’m finally pain free!

I just came in to get my wisdom tooth removed and I can say that it was the best surgery experience. The whole building is very nice and clean. I was very nervous about the whole experience but the staff took me through it step by step. I felt really secure and safe. The overall surgery was quick. I really enjoyed how clean all of their rooms were. Everyone was really hospitable and kind.

I had a real great experience wth Dr Johnson and his team. I came by to get one of my wisdom tooth removed. The whole process was real simple and easy.

I was very impressed with the office they have here. It’s very clean, organized, and modern. The workers here are very friendly and offer their best work. They even make sure it’s necessary for you to get certain procedures. I got IPL (Intense Pulse Light) hair removal here and it didn’t hurt at all. It saved me a lot more money than getting another procedure. Was done neatly and quickly. Definitely recommend coming to their location. Very happy with their work!!! :)

Both of my kids had their wisdom teeth removed at this office. I cannot say enough about our experience. Every staff member is exceptional and Dr. Johnson is the best. I highly recommend him.

I have seen Dr. Johnson now twice. The first time was when I had my wisdom teeth pulled 8 years ago and the second time was this week with my 9 year old daughter. I remember my wisdom teeth experience being great. (As great as a wisdom teeth experience can be) He is very patient and thorough. He explains things in a very comprehensive way. This time he actually turned away our business and told me to wait a while to make sure that my daughter’s surgery is absolutely necessary. His office staff is wonderful. They helped guide me through my insurance process while both my dentist and orthodontist either refused or were unable to do. We arrived exactly at our appointment time and were seen within 5 minutes. All of the new patient paperwork and registration was completed online in a quick, easy to navigate format. I highly recommend Dr. Johnson.

I got all four of my wisdom teeth removed almost a month ago, and it went just about as smoothly as I could have hoped!
I was very, very nervous beforehand because I had other surgeons tell me how utterly difficult my surgery was going to be, due to the location of my roots and how they interacted with the nerve in my jaw. How can you stay calm when your surgeon tells you how complicated it’s going to be, that HE was nervous, and how rare it is to see roots like yours?! Needless to say, I did not allow that other surgeon to do anything to me.
So when I showed up to Dr. Johnson, I was still carrying all of that anxiety. However, his attitude towards my situation was vastly different than the other surgeon. Yes, he also saw my roots and how they would present a problem, but he had a quick and simple solution, and he never voiced to me any concern. He simply told me that the surgery wouldn’t be «typical,» he explained what he was going to do, and told me that all would be good in the end.
I was knocked out and woke up a little more than an hour later, missing the four teeth.
My recovery was a little rough, but they warned me of that, just because of all they had to do. I was prepared for my face to swell immensely, but there was very, very minimal swelling, and no bruising at all. I really attribute that to Dr. Johnson and how careful he must have been.
It truly went better than I imagined. I am so thankful I was referred to Dr. Johnson.

Great office and staff! I had all of my wisdom teeth extracted at one time and Dr. Johnson and his team were very informative and helpful throughout the whole process. I really liked the family oriented vibe between the staff. They made me feel very comfortable. It has been a little over a week and I seem to be healing perfectly. I would definitely come back if needed or recommend Dr. Johnson and his team to any of my family and friends.

Dr Johnson and his staff were amazing. My 16 yr old son had to have 2 wisdom teeth taken out on an emergency basis, his staff got us in within 1 day for the surgery. Had a great experience (well as great as it could be for having surgery.) He has an excellent bedside manner and explained everything very thoroughly. A doctor that cares… It’s a rare thing to find!

Dr. Johnson is fantastic! I haven’t had any major dental work done since my childhood, so I didn’t know what to expect. Dr. Johnson and his nursing staff helped calm me down through the entire procedure and made sure I was comfortable through every step of the way. I would not hesitate in recommending him to anyone who needs dental surgery done, he’s great!

I had a tooth extracted today. Needless to say I was beyond nervous! Dr Johnson is wonderful! I felt comfortable and at ease. He patiently answered all my questions. His staff is equally great. I was concerned that since I was not going to be under anesthesia that it would be uncomfortable. Dr Johnson used nitrous oxide (laughing gas) along with numbing the area and I can honestly say I didn’t feel a thing. I would recommend this office to anyone!

Wonderful dental office! Dr. Johnson is the most professional and efficient oral surgeon I have ever seen and I have had more than a few extractions. He had my tooth out in less than 5 minutes with the most minimal pain. No infections and he did not push the medication on me!!! I am IMPRESSED and will recommend anyone to this dental office! 5 stars without hesitation. And did I mention that my deltacare copay was $ 45…

Be very cautious with invoicing and save your receipts forever. Seriously forever! 4 years has passed and every 2 years I have to go back and prove this was taken care of. The amount changes so I’m concerned they don’t keep accurate records. I don’t want to accuse them of a billing scam we’ve used them before many years ago and no issue but I’m very leery what is going on.
I pay all invoices immediately have excellent credit so if it was my oversight id correct it but with changing amounts, paying then getting another invoice something is wrong! I think I may have to make a formal complaint with the board, etc.

This the first review I have ever written. I was so impressed I want everyone to know about this wonderful office. Again my daughter has an HMO under our Obama Care medical insurance and needed her wisdom teeth out. Blue Shield sent me a 43 page list of dentists and oral surgeons which Wendy at Dr. Johnson’s office patiently reviewed with me to choose other providers from the daunting list.
I have identical twins who have each had 9 extractions plus a gum retraction over the years. The first oral surgeon traumatized my one daughter leaving her bleeding so profusely we had to use an entire roll of paper towels at a time and this went on for 14 hours at which time one of his partners agreed to meet me at the office at 11.45 pm and put in gel packs to stop the bleeding. Upon the follow up visit the surgeon indicated to my 12 year old daughter that he didn’t know what the big deal was as she was not going to bleed to death. Try to get her back for the next surgery! He also wanted to use IV sedation for removal of baby teeth and was annoyed with me when I opted for local and nitrous oxide.
Needless to say I took my girls elsewhere and had a very good experience with Dr. Sharo Fateii. Time to get the wisdom teeth out and Dr. Fateii is not on the HMO list nor is the oral surgeon recommended by my dentist. I chose an HMO dentist in San Juan and they referred me to Dr. Johnson. I had already read all the Unilocal reviews so I called late in the afternoon. The office was closed and while I waited to leave a message my phone beeped and when I clicked over it was Dr. Arthur Johnson who had seen that I was trying to leave a message. I knew then that if I needed a response he would be there. He spoke with me for 15 minutes answering all my questions about both of my girls wisdom teeth surgeries. He promised that his staff would call by 9.30 the following morning to go over the insurance pricing. Surprise at 9.29 I got the call, the HMO was immediately contacted and I had all the information back that morning. My daughter was arriving home from college and Dr. Johnson made a special trip into the office for the consult. This wonderful man just said he had a meeting at Mission Hospital and that he would meet us at the office that afternoon. We were shown a video explaining the whole procedure. That sure would have been nice before! He was not rushed and spent a long time answering questions. She would need two bone grafts and all that was explained and all the cost that were quoted were kept to.
The surgery was yesterday. It went extremely well and the staff could not have been any nicer. While she was in surgery they spent 45 minutes with me figuring out the least expensive way for my other daughter juggling the primary and secondary insurances to find me the best price. I had a panoramic X-​Ray myself that was ½ the price I had been quoted elsewhere.
When I went into recovery she had a icepack fastened over her head with cold fluids pumping through it. With all the oral surgeries I had never seen this before. Both the female and male assistants came in to check and were very caring. Lisa from the front desk stroked my daughter’s arm as she was recovering to comfort her. She got her into the wheel chair and to the car with the utmost care.
My daughter is doing exceptionally well and we are thrilled with the service. I will be taking my other daughter there in June to have her wisdom teeth removed and have already recommended 2 friends.
Dr. Johnson is the kindest man and very easy to talk to. He came in after the surgery and again did not hurry us even though he had several people in the waiting room. As we left a young mother of 3 volunteered what a gem Dr. Johnson was and that she too had a previous experience with another oral surgeon that was unsatisfactory. She said she was his biggest fan and I said she now had me to compete with! If you need oral surgery try Dr. Johnson’s office and enjoy the pleasant surprise that I have had. Who knew you could like an oral surgeon this much?

I was referred to Dr. Johnson by my dental insurance… HMO plan. I was skeptical. I’m always cautious whenever a HMO plan refers me to a certain dr. because I for some reason think they’ll send me to doctors who aren’t that great.
Anyway, my experience with Dr. Johnson was nothing short of excellent. I was referred to him for a consultation to have two wisdom teeth taken out. I’ve had plenty of work done on my teeth but pulling wisdom teeth scares me, esp since mine were impacted and I’m older, making it harder. I’ve also heard stories about people getting dry sockets so I was pretty freaked out about that as well.
His staffs were friendly and on top of the insurance paperwork. After the initial consult, my insurance approved the procedure within a week I would say. That’s quick.
I was REALLY nervous during my consultation. The assistant, Jose, was really helpful, reassuring and answered all my questions. (He’s also good looking must I add, lol.) I expressed all my concerns and explained my health history, and he actually communicated all that to Dr. Johnson even before Dr. Johnson came into my room! So in short, I didn’t feel the need to really talk to him when he came in and introduce himself to me.
On the day of the procedure, Dr. Johnson had two assistants, Jose and another lady (anesthesiologist)– super nice and gentle, both of them. I was knocked out and only remember waking up to them wiping my mouth and off I went home.
I went back a week later for a follow up. Another lady helped cleaned my gums (food got stuck) and gave me a squirty thingy to flush my gums with. Other than that my gums healed nicely.
In reviewing the charges from my insurance bill, the charges are pretty steep. ($ 380 for a consultation — but of course they always work out discounts with cash patients).
Overall, I definitely recommend Dr. Johnson to anyone!

How often does someone rave about oral surgery or a dentist? But this office is wonderful. Dr. Arthur Johnson and his staff provide exceptional service. Not just dental procedures but also minor cosmetic specialties as well. They are upfront about costs and what needs to be done. Dr. Johnson is meticulous in his work and is all about the happiness and satisfaction of his patients and clients. I’ve had tooth pulled there and have had some facial procedures done. There is now a top notch dentist working in the office as well. His name is Dr. Steven Edwards. My consultation with him was thorough, professional, and pleasant. Again, how many people rave about what a positive experience they’ve had at a dentist???
