Rubio’s Fresh Mexican Grill

The food is great. I especially like the chips and salsa. The people are very friendly. There are lots of other places to eat nearby, but I always pick Rubios.

Do you luv fish tacos? …because I LUV fish tacos!!! And let me tell you, this place has the BEST fish tacos I’ve ever had. The secret? …grilled Mahi Mahi made ‘the old way’.
I’m a regular with Rubio’s, and especially this location, …its my joint: p The food here is phenomenal, and the customer service is amazing. From the time I walk through the door until I leave, I feel like family. Wanna experience the best Rubio’s has to offer? …then stop by this location! You won’t be disappointed: p

Nice convenient quiet corner. Wish I had chosen one of the other restaurants around this corner. Never was a fan of rubios. Something about the overpowering sauces and lack of healthy fresh veggies and ingredients keeps me away. Rubios should probably look at their menu and preparations and make it healthier. What would adding more cabbage or something cost to you. Went away hungry. Not a bean and rice fan either so that is usually not the best option.

Weirdest layout for a restaurant I’ve seen to date. Cramped at every point.
Salsa bar is almost laughable at how one must contort to reach stuff.
Food = delicious
Kids = happy
Staff = very busy and taxed but handled it well
Wife loved her salad.
Fire and green sauce a huge win.
More beans please!!!

Do yourself a favor and avoid this place on Tuesdays. It gets out of control with their «taco Tuesday’s». Tonight while we were there to get an order, two particular folks were being ridiculous which made the chaos even worse.
About these two rude idiots tonight: calling in your food order doesn’t grant you permission to cut in front of everyone else in line. There were quite a few people waiting patiently in line and this moron walks right by everyone. The worst part was that they helped him! I couldn’t believe it.
Another moron ordered a huge number of tacos, called it in and came in to pick them up. He decided the tacos had been sitting out too long and demanded they remake them all, despite the huge line.
Tonight was ridiculous. The service is so slow everything gets really backed up. Do yourself a favor: AVOID ON TUESDAYS!!!

I’m in love with their Grilled Veggie «Cali bowl» .
I like to add grilled corn and extra lettuce and today I asked for «light on the rice» and they did not disappoint. I love their rice though! It’s a delicious cilantro lime rice done right. And here the «grilled veggies» actually taste grilled — not microwave steamed like some other places try to pass off. I highly recommend trying their really thick red sauce & chipotle sauce from the salsa bar on the bowl. Yum! And this is my 3^rd Rubio’s experience and each has been at a different location, and have all tasted the same. (Except for the other night when I went over board with hot sauce lol). But that was my fault and I was lucky to find a few bites at the bottom that weren’t ruined yet to put out the fire and make a mental note not to do that again. The portion size on this is great too!

To be honest. The Fish Tacos don’t taste BAD. But honestly, I don’t think they are worth the price of what they are. I got a drink and 3 tacos + chips and it was like $ 13. DOOOOD, I can eat sushi with that money, man.
But it’s not bad. Probably come on a Tuesday for Taco Tuesdays. Other than that, prolly never.
Service was good though. Very Friendly. Then again, it’s Mission Viejo.
