History

Established in 1994.

Goes Brazilian JiuJitsu was founded by Allan Goes, a 7th degree Black Belt under the Legendary Carlson Gracie. Allan Goes found his passion for Brazilian JiuJitsu at the age of 12 years old. Training under Carlson Gracie’s supervision he became one of the most important figures in the Brazilian JiuJitsu Community. Goes JiuJitsu philosophy is about to share with everyone the science of Brazilian JiuJitsu and make people understand that it was created as a Martial Arts by Buddhist Monks, on an act of love and respect for humanity, their intention was relief their stress and learn to protect themselves with the less possible damage to their opponents. I dropped into Allan Goes’ class to train with a friend and I highly recommend it here. Everyone went out of their way to introduce themselves to me and the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. They focused their time equally on judo and ground work. If you don’t know Allan Goes, just google his name and you’ll see how legit he is. His techniques have been proven effective many times over in MMA. He runs his class like an old school gym with respect and a sense of pride for the martial arts beginning. Another great thing is he has two to three black belts constantly walking around correcting everyone’s mistakes. It’s a great place to train!

After 25 years of being an instructor in a different field I had a life changing in the prevented me from continuing. When I’m at Allen goes was actually outside of his Jiu Jitsu gym he was engaging respectful and someone that was comfortable to be around he invited me to come to the Jiu Jitsu gym where I found a family environment and was able to take my physical therapy to the next level he taught me never give up always have pride and what you do and if you have no past you have no future. This experience has been the greatest thing I’ve ever been involved with. the whole school is a fantastic family from the existing black belts which are known as professors to the Master Black Belt who is Allen Goes his 25 years of experience is taught him how to be the best instructor he possibly can be not only because he teaches great technique. But he teaches with his heart and teaches everyone same way with great respect and individuality that is what really makes him one of the greatest individuals I have ever met in my life and has changed my life forever. I will now become the best student that I possibly can be but will always be grateful no matter how far I succeed. But I know that master Allen Goes a black belt known as six Dan who trained under master Carlson Gracie not only knows his technique the history and to respect that we all have now for the legacy of the true jujitsu purpose which is to teach you to challenge yourself and shape your own future through the skills that he is teaching and has been taught in the past. The best BJJ studio in OC hands down. Learn from one of the best BJJ practitioners in the world. Google Allan Goes. Enough said. Multiple BJJ world champion, UFC champion, Pride champion. One of Carslon Gracie’s original black belts with the likes of Vitor Belfort.
Master Goes’s kids BJJ program is second to none. I’ve bought all three of my boys here since they were 3 years old. No watered down McDojo here… you earn your belts and don’t get them for just showing up. This place is legit. The anti-​bullying program has given them the self confidence I wish I had as a child.
The students are all family. Everyone is chill and encouraging to new students. No egos, no puffed cheats, and no BS attitude.
