Horrible people in this store and the one across the street! You CANNOT just enjoy walking there without them being pushy and obnoxious! It was so bad that when my friend and I went back to Front Street another day, we intentionally walked down the middle of the street to avoid them!!! People are not stupid… if we want to go to your store and inquire about the product, we will. Otherwise, LEAVEMEALONE! I am on vacation in Maui and want to enjoy it.

BECAREFULBEFOREYOUSPENDMONEYHERE. READTHIS: There is a reason there are so many 1 star reviews. And the good reviews are mostly from people who have never written another review… so I don’t trust those reviews as real.

Agressive, Sneaky Pushy Way overpriced. Inappropriate When they push a sample pack in your hand just throw it into their store. When they say«Just come in» Say«Never!». Same deal across the street with a different name.

I’d give this place four thumbs down, no stars if I could. I have been approached multiple times by very rude salespeople from this shop since my stay in Maui, very annoying. Every time I’ve walked past apparently«no thank you» doesn’t translate. Today a woman very aggressively approached me and practically dragged me inside. While I was very resistant, I agreed. She sat me down and applied the cream on my eyes, gave me a mirror and asked me what I thought. I said, «It’s okay.» Apparently I insulted her by having a casual response when she began to insult me by telling me how blemished my skin was. WTF??? I jumped up out of the seat and said«No thank you!» I was so insulted and thought to myself how in the hell do people like this stay in business!!! I think she was Middle Eastern and the rudest bitch I’ve ever encountered. I wish I would have said, «Honey, in America we don’t insult people and expect to gain business.» With a sales pitch like that, they won’t be in business long. Horrible business. They need to be shut down and get outta town. Nothing but a big nuisance and rude, rude, rude!!!

Dont ever consider shopping here if you are Asian. From far, I saw a guy handing out samples and trying to talk to people walking down the street in front of the store. I was intrigued, but as we approached closer, I noticed that he just turned away from me. It was kind of interesting as I didnt look like a bum or anything… so after we had dinner next door and as I was waiting to be picked up, I decided to watch the salesman’s behavior. Maui is flooded with tourists from all over the world, and of course there are a ton of Asian people in Lahaina. As I was watching him for at least 10 – 15 minutes, it was clear that he was intentionally turning his back away from Asian people. Considering that Asian people love cosmetics and purchase a ton, this seemed very odd. So I decided to take a picture of the store sign to look it up later, and as I took a shot, the salesman who was so blatantly ignoring me screamed«No Photos» at me and started waving his arms furiously. Lol… it looked really funny. I guess he thought I was a Non-Enlgish speaking tourist, so I didnt even bother to respond back. I see that this store has some very negative reviews, and as others have already stated, I would give it a negative star review if I could. I loved Maui so much, but this was one of the two unpleasant experiences that we encountered during our stay.

Google this company. They are aggressive scammers around the world. I was walking on Front Street when a very aggressive man started up a conversation about my skin care choices and would not accept my polite attempts to move on. As I walked down the street he started screaming at me saying how rude I was, and then shouted personal insults. At first I thought this was a bad employee – however after reading much about them online, this is par for the course. There is no room on Maui for a business like this.

*ZEROSTARS* while on vacation, my friend was sucked in by a beautiful sales person … My friend was feeling Ill and indicated that to the sales lady but she proceeded to make her sit thru a demo… I kept asking questions about the validity of the product for my friends sake and the lady was obviously irritated then started telling me what was wrong with my face too… After she told us how much it would cost. My friend politely said she couldn’t afford it … I then said we would go back and research because honestly, I could see instant results … When we finally convinced her that we were not buying … She slammed down the product and turned away… Not even saying thank you for the time… We walked outside to another vendor and the lady was«mouthing» us thru the window… While I could tell she was following the«sales process» with us … And very aggressive with it… I have NEVER seen such a reaction to being told no. I’m not sure how the company expects their employees to handle things but this was 100% the most rude treatment from a retail sales person I have ever seen in my life! I feel bad for the people they do deceive into spending over $ 400 on product that may or may not do what they say. …

As I was walking down the street, an Oro Gold«barker» handed me a sample of a cream and said, «I gave you a cream for your eyes because you are old.» REALLY? Is this how your employees are supposed to entice customers into the store? First off, I had sunglasses on, so he couldn’t have seen my eyes and secondly, I am not old. I am completely appalled and will NEVER buy products from Oro Gold.
