Ariel View Inn

Only giving 1 star, bc zero is unavailable… this place is filthy, disgusting. The top shelf bottles are full of bargain liquor. The bar top is sticky, there’s dust everywhere. Owner is awkward and makes for an uncomfortable environment. Don’t waste your money or good vibes on this dump!

This is a place that probably doesn’t need or care about a Unilocal review, which is kinda cool it is getting a Unilocal review. What do I mean? Well this is a real unpretentious local bar that usually only the local folks in the area know about. It doesn’t serve the latest «craft beer», or practice mix-​ology with crazy cocktails in fact the bar probably has seen better days, but I have to say I always have a fun time when I come here and the drinks are usually pretty reasonable.
Jeannie (sp?) the owner is a very sweet woman. She is always very friendly. She takes care of a local stray cat named Rocky that was an unfortunate victim of abuse. He generally relaxes under a table near the back of the bar or will go into the back area behind a private door if it gets too loud.
When Lake Ariel has their 4^th of July fireworks (not always on 4^th of July, check schedule) it is a good idea to do a little pre-​gaming here then walk down to the Lake watch the show then come back for a post game wrap up!
Like I said, it has seen better days and it is a «smoking bar», which I am not crazy about but all and all not a bad place to have a laid back drink.
