Hunny’s Restaurant

Came here on a Sunday morning. Place was pretty busy but service was still pretty good. Servers are nice and pretty attentive. I like that they don’t come up to your table too often. Makes it easier to enjoy your food without interruptions.
Food was okay. I’m usually okay with little salt but it just seemed like there was no flavor at all. We did order a side of ranch and that helped a little.
Overall, my visit was okay. Would I go back? Probably not. But was worth a try.

This was our first time here, and the food was amazing, and homemade! I will definitely be returning again.

Food is okay .At times service seems bothered you’re there and often congregate in corner or at register leaving your coffee empty and you searching. once eggs were perfection it her times I’ve had to send back. I’m going to try a lunch and se how that goes before I completely abandon going here. I prefer patronizing small businesses locally.

Just passing by, and had to stop, the name intrigued me. Service was quick and courteous. I ordered the special meatloaf dinner, and it was generous and delicious. My Missus’ ordered the fish and chips, and she said it was great. We enjoyed the ambience and the value. What a gem of a place on the main drive past the lakeside.

Was in last night for dinner. I told my waitress last night that it was not right a working dog is not suppose to be on a booth. It is to be down on the floor at all times. She said she would tell her manager. Really disappointed to find out it was the manager that was allowing the dog to jump up and down and sitting on the booth the entire time while the owner was eating.
I like the food there we had the chicken dinner 10.99 each. I work hard for my money, would like to be relax while eating.
Even after telling my waitress the manager still allowed the dog on the booth. I guess I’m a paying customer that doesn’t matter.

This is my last review for this location because I will never come here again. Appetizers takes forever to come out and some waitresses can be real B’s. There’s only one breakfast option on the kids menu which includes egg. My daughter is allergic to eggs so we always ask for a substitute. Sometimes I get but with a long speech about how they can’t do it. They can cut me short by not giving the egg but they can’t lose money by giving me anything else and nothing cost the equivalent of an egg they said. I don’t have time for this nonsense.
I also started noticing that Caucasian patrons get treated a lot better and served faster than Latinos, even though some of the waitresses are Latinas. Doesn’t matter the order you came in… Go figure.
You want more food options, better tasting food and outstanding service? Drive 15 minutes out to the Corona location on Pulsar Ct. off the 15 freeway.

Ordered breakfast.
Waitress was nice.
Coffee was good.
Biscuits and gravy were sub par.
Had to send my eggs back.
It may be that management is lacking but most likely it’s the kitchen staff.
Plating and food quality should be at its best; but sadly it is not even half of what I expected.
After having spent more than 25 yrs in the restaurant industry I believe I can be a bit critical but in this case I am overly generous with two (2) stars.

We were looking for a place to pick up breakfast before heading back to LA, but weren’t sure of what to do because we had our dogs with us. Our friends, who live in the area, recommended Hunny’s because they allow you to bring your dogs with you to sit out on the patio.
Maria opened the gate for us and brought out some water for the pups right away, which was great! My boyfriend got the quickie breakfast and I ordered the Carne Asada with Eggs. Absolutely delicious! You can tell everything is prepared with fresh, quality ingredients.
We’ll definitely be coming back whenever we’re in the area. PS: Their freshly squeezed orange juice is amazingly refreshing.

Food is gross. Hours are listed wrong online. Waitress could not care less about service. Last time wasting money here.

It’s the people here that really make this place like coming home. The food is good. I haven’t had a bad plate yet and if I did the waiters made me forget. They are great people and this is our new home eats.

We come here quite a bit. We enjoy the food and the atmosphere. Most of the servers are very friendly and appropriately attentive. Our favorite meal choices are the banana pancakes, Monte cristo sandwich, clam chowder soup, corn bread, Hunny’s salad with spinach, ribs, and the lemon cream cake. Believe it or not, the tapioca pudding is delish!
Sorry to hear some folks haven’t liked the service. We like the servers in the late afternoon/​evening. There is a difference.

First time there today for breakfast I had the veggie omelet… Excellent! The coffee… The best I’ve had in a restaurant in years! I will be going here for breakfast often! Now to try their lunch and dinner! Our waitress was great too! Sorry I forgot her name.

Hey its hunnys in elsinore… it’s better than Dennys… ive never had a problem here. service is always good and the food comes up quick… nothing like enjoying breakfast with the view of elsinore wildlife.

So unimpressed with the service. Maria was going so fast, she can’t keep up with herself. She brought the wrong drinks, didn’t write anything down, my expedited quickly but cold? She could be heard anywhere around the building rudely shouting at the poor new employee she was «training». The new girl seemed to do better than Maria. Such a disaster of service today.

It’s Mom now and my son was so excited about the food here that he requested to Unilocal and give it 5 stars. Can’t say I disagree. Good food, friendly staff.

OMG!!! If you are looking for fresh homemade food, great service, and affordable food, you have come to the right restaurant. Our waitress was beyond super nice, and the food was amazing. There’s not a lot of parking though. Other then that, I give it A+.

We wanted a local-​feel diner experience and we weren’t disappointed. The prices seemed a bit high but this was our first day in CA, so they might be normal. The food was good and filled us up the way diner food should. Nothing amazing but it hit the spot.

Been there a handful of times and their food was amazing customer service superb. I’m glad these guys are down the street I will be coming back here soon

So satisfied with their food and service that we have returned on many occasions and will continue to do so. We have been here for breakfast and lunch and we have enjoyed it every time. The girls there are super friendly and always greet you as you enter. Cool spot with good food and great service. Definitely stop by If you are in the area.

The food is good and at a decent price. The only thing is tho, the waiter didn’t come around enough r at all to refill drinks. But that being said, she’s very pleasant.
