My washer went out and Eddie was able to come over the next day to repair it. He came highly recommended by another company he worked for. They told me I could trust him and his work. Eddie called me within a couple of hours after I left my voicemail message. He was able to provide estimates over the phone and gave best and worst case scenarios.
He was on time, found the original problem and fixed it right away. Unfortunately, he found a problem that was the worst case scenario. However, he was able to give me an estimate of the cost of repair and his recommendation. He really knows his stuff and his level of customer service is outstanding. He did not charge me for his services today. I have to say, I am truly impressed! Eddie and Abacus Appliance Service Corp have just gained my loyalty for future repairs on appliances and I definitely plan on recommending him to friends and family.

My 11 year-​old Kenmore Elite Washing Machine was not draining like it used to and was making a louder noise than usual on the spin cycle. Called Eddie at Abacus and he came-​over the same afternoon. After some investigation, Eddie was able to determine that the pump filter was clogged, which was then cleaned-​out. He also was able to determine that unit was probably nearing the end of it life (due to an expensive part replacement). Excellent service and ability to answer all my questions thoroughly.
Eddie is a super friendly, knowledgeable and HONEST technician. Very fair and competitive on repair costs as well! I would highly recommend using his company’s services again!

I am so happy I found Eddie! I’ve been a homeowner for about 7 years, and I just had my first appliance breakdown (fridge). As I spoke to family and friends they shared stories of expensive repairs and/​or just having to buy a new fridge. I was worried about the unexpected expense, and then I found Abacus here on Unilocal.
Eddie, the owner was the first one to respond, after leaving messages for multiple appliance repair company’s. He was at my place within the next couple hours, to diagnose the issue. He needed to order a part and come back the next day to install, and he even offered to come out anytime in the evening that worked for me so I would not have to miss work.
He was professional, trustworthy, very reasonably priced, and gave me great advice on ways to save money on water filters for my fridge. He also showed me some DIY maintenance to keep my fridge from risk of future breakdown.
Hopefully I won’t have any further appliance issues, but if I do, I will only be calling Eddie!

Our refrigerator was having issues with the ice maker and draining the excess water. Eddie came right over and was very polite and professional. The job was done before I knew it and for much less than I had expected. It’s nice that this service exists and that I found one with 5 star service. Thank you Eddie.

Eddie just fixed a problem that my old repair company failed to diagnose and fix (maybe even caused by charging me a fortune to install generic icemaker that broke in 13 months (right after warranty expires, of course). Eddie gave me the deal of a lifetime, explained everything he did, brought the part in a sealed factory parts box. Will absolutely use him again and refer him to all my friends.

I am so glad when I find an honest vendor who truly is out for repeat business. Eddie and Abacus Appliance Repair have my business. Showed up on time, fixed the problem on my washer and was very reasonable. I highly recommend!

Eddie came out when a friend gave me an old stackable washer and dryer and it did not work. He could easily have charged me for parts or repairs I didn’t need because I didn’t care if I had to repair it since it was free. Instead, he trouble shot the problem, got the only part I needed for $ 40 and that was it! It is a year later and the washer was noisy, so I called Eddie. He came out, listened to the spin cycle, told me to get another stackable because the repair would be too much and didn’t charge me a dime. This guy is worth 5 stars plus!

My refrigerator light went out. I called another top rated Unilocal appliance repair company, who could not properly diagnose the problem, but wanted to charge me $ 500 labor in addition to $ 350 in parts which I had to chase down online myself.
My wife called Eddie. Eddie methodically diagnosed the problem, ordered the part, returned to install it, and quickly fixed the problem. His price was very reasonable, he was knowledgeable, honest and professional. I will be calling on Eddie to help us with all our future appliance repairs and will be recommending him to our friends and family.

Not often can I say that I can give a company a 5 star rating without ever even spending a dime.
My dishwasher was flooding and would not drain for several days. After attempting to fix it myself via YouTube videos, I gave up and called Abacus. Eddie answered and told me that he no longer services my city and also does not service my brand of dishwasher. Most other calls would have ended there, but Eddie then began to help me troubleshoot over the phone! We spent about 15 minutes talking it out until we discovered the problem.
He could have easily said he couldn’t help me and hung up and I would have been fine with that, or come out and charge me for an easy fix, but instead, Eddie offered his expertise over the phone free of charge. If that is not excellent customer service and upstanding integrity, I don’t know what is!
Needless to say, I would use his services again and gladly pay for it!

Eddie is freaken AMAZING!!! Super nice, professional, and trustworthy. I don’t trust calling ANY repair person (appliance, plumbing, car, etc.) because you never know if they are overcharging you. This is one person I know for sure is there to do the job. Eddie with Abacus Appliance Service Corp. is SUPER AMAZING and doesn’t charge for things you don’t need. He is very affordable. Eddie has come out three times to our home, twice for our washer and once (today) for our dryer. If you ever need any of your appliances repaired, Eddie is your man! I promise, you won’t be disappointed. He took the time to explain what he was doing, what was wrong, and what to look for if it should start acting up again. Eddie is amazing! Simply amazing. I hardly write reviews and I almost never write good reviews. :-P In fact, Eddie just finished fixing my freezer and the first thing I did was login to Unilocal to write this review. He was fast yet thorough, beyond fair in price, and all the while taught me how he was fixing it in case it happens again.
We hire services all the time and people give us their business cards, but we never keep them. However, I’m keeping Abacus’ card and will not only use him again if need be but also recommend him to all my friends and family in the area. Thanks, Eddie! You made my day! :)

There are several disconcerting things about calling a new service person — will the work be good? Will I feel comfortable with the service person or am I inviting trouble into my home?

Have a broken appliance? Don’t fix it yourself. Don’t kick it repeatedly. Throw your tantrum, then call Eddie. Chances are he can fix it. He’s like a knight in shining armor and my washer is the princess. Ya feel me?

We had a dishwasher (Bosch) that would not drain on its cycle. That is the pump was not removing water. YouTube was useless. (As the solution to the problem was based on NO vent tube which turned out to be the problem area.) Some areas of the country are not required to have vent tubes I found out.
The abacus service person (Eddie) came, and in 2 minutes found the blocked vent tube and fixed it.
Problem fixed.

This praise for Eddie is long, long overdue. He has been tending to our appliance worries and needs for the last few years. He is practical, tenacious, prompt, thoughtful about problem solving and related costs, and reliable. We’ve not thrown an appliance problem at him that he has not been able to handle. I cannot begin to estimate the $$$$ he’s saved us. On one visit, the issue was easily solved, and he tried to leave without charging us. It took me threatening to stop using him (what a lie!) if he didn’t take my check. I refer Eddie to all my friends, and now to you too.

My Samsung washer lid cracked, and would not close. Wife had some handyman come by. Charged for visit. Said we had to order part and then will come back to repair. I was not happy. Looked up Unilocal,and took a chance after reading reviews. There was no charge to come see what was wrong. He ordered the parts. Then brought it to repair. The price was reasonable. And my wife said he was very nice. He Told her that previously wasn’t install correctly. It was another company that did warranty service for Samsung. That company got bad Unilocal reviews, but no choice under warranty. Almost thought about using them, until I read the reviews. And wife concur bad service. That company, Sounds like West Co@st?

Eddie is quite an awesome guy, with an awesome mustache to boot! He is also the model of what customer service should be. Here’s how it went. My top-​loading GE washing machine was spitting water all over the garage floor. I took off the front panel myself to try to figure out what was going on. There was water all over the bottom panel, and the agitate cycle and spin cycle were spitting water out all the holes where the feet go through the pan. But everything else inside the machine was dry. WTF? I called Eddie, thanks to all these great Unilocal reviews he has.
On our first phone conversation, he was happy to talk me through checking the machine visually for basic, easy to solve problems, and quoted me a super reasonable price for coming over to look at the machine instead for my lazy ass. Of course, I’m not standing in front of my machine as I’m calling, so he offers to help me through it when I’m home from work no matter how late. The guy’s an insomniac! But I get home from work pooped, so a few days go by and I don’t get around to taking the panel off again. So another call later and Eddie’s at my home first thing in the morning (so I’m not even late for work) and practically teaching me as he goes. (what? I like to know how things work!) Turns out it was a super simple solve — the pressure hose was all clogged up so the basket was filling up with too much water. He pulls the hose off, cleans out all the gunk, puts it back together, and voila! All fixed. And he wouldn’t even take my money for the service visit either!
What a stand up guy. And incredible customer service. You’ve made a believer out of me, and will be my first call for any future major appliance issues.

my dishwasher was not cleaning so we called Abacus to come which he did.
Eddie was polite and very efficient and fixed my dishwashers disposal which was full of gunk.
