I had bought a Groupon for this place to for three eyebrow waxes.
She messed my eyebrows up so badly the first time that they’re still bad (I got it done in June).
I never wanted her to touch my eyebrows again so I never ended up going back for the other two. Instead, I just used the groupon voucher to get my upper lips waxed– which actually was not fiscally smart at all because I can get my upper lip waxed elsewhere for only $ 5.

The shop is small, but the room and music make for a very relaxing environment. Emily has always been very professional and did a great job when waxing my eyebrows or giving a facial. I moved to Newport Beach about two years ago but continued to go use her until recently. Unfortunately, she drastically raised prices January 1^st and it’s no longer worth it for me to go out of my way. If you’re in the local area, I definitely recommend her. But beware, it’s a bit pricey.

I’ll begin with the good: Emily was very professional, easy to get into contact with, and is obviously focused on ensuring you’re 100% comfortable. The space was small, but perfectly clean and relaxing. I’d give a ⁵⁄₅ stars if I could.
However, full disclosure is that I did not receive the service that I had paid for. I went in for a handful of skin tag removals. After my second visits, since some skintags did not end up falling off, I was told that I could pay for additional sessions or I should go see a dermatologist. Emily assured me from the beginning that she’d removed larger skintags before, but ultimately, it seems mine was just too deeply rooted. I understand that happens, but usually if someone pays for a specific service and that service isn’t completed successfully, you offer a refund– not the option to pay more.
At any rate, I’ll try somewhere else. Emily was very kind and the service for the other skin tags was quick and relatively painless. (Don’t worry about the pain, if you’re scared. It’s like a light pinch at times, and that’s it.) I believe in full disclosure, so I recommend About Skin with this small forewarning. If you’re willing to take the risk of losing out on some money, then go for it.

This place is great the room I was in was decorated really nice. My experience was very relaxing, I got a bikini wax and she did a great job. I’ve been waxing for many years and this place was one of my favourites. She seemed to know what she was doing, nothing hurt and I felt very comfortable, no ‘sting’ that usually lingers after a wax. Smooth and happy

I went in for a quick facial referred by a friend and I was pleasantly surprised by the whole service. It looks and feels so much more professional than other places I’ve been to. The place is top end furnishings and smells divine. The music is relaxing and the esthetician was skillful and attentive. Would recommend this spa experience to everyone.

As a programmer, I’m on the computer ALOT. Because of this, I have carpal tunnel something fierce. My wife and I had gone to an office to have one of those 3D ultrasounds and I asked the person in the office next to us about what I could do to help with the carpal tunnel. After talking for a few minutes, she setup an appointment for me with Daniel Martin for the next day. I came in and explained what was going on and he went to work on massaging my hands, wrists, arms and back. I felt relief immediately. Its been 2 weeks now and Ive seen him twice and I already feel noticeably better. The environment there is very calm and relaxing and Daniel and his wife are awesome people! He really helped me out a lot and told me what was causing the issues as well. I would easily recommend them to anyone and have passed on the information to several friends.

Love this place. The owner, Emily Martin provides stellar customer service and she is an expert with skin care. The facials and massages were relaxing and soothing.
